We went for a weekend with family and the hotel was nice. The room was clean and big enough for 2 adults and a teenager to share comfortably. There was plenty of towels for a 2 night stay. Breakfast was pretty standard... an assortment of hot and cold items each day and depending on the time there might be a hard time finding a spot to sit. The pool is outside and even though it was 95+ degrees when we stayed, the pool temp was a bit cool for my liking. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again if we needed to go back to the KC area.

The second elevator was said to be back in service by March 2025. Now mid May and no evidence that it will back in service anytime soon. Check in clerk did not know when it will be in service. The functional elevator is kinda slow. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We were not informed that the hotel is under construction, the fitness center was closed, dining was not an actual restaurant with decent food. The hotel was dirty and old. We were here for business so it was very disappointing and not at all convenient.

This hotel is tucked away in a business park, so it is quiet and off the main road. They are doing some remodeling onsite. The staff said they are upgrading the bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can order food at the front desk to take to your room. The pizza and burger we ordered were good and ready in a timely manner. We would definitely stay there again.

Booking, welcome emails, and all communication before we arrived said the pool was open. But then when I checked-in I had to tell my kids, one who was 5, that the pool wasn’t opened and we wouldn’t be able to swim.

Renovation going on. Can’t be helped, but distracting and annoying when heard from your room. The room assigned had stains on the couch, one very large one that was the first thing noticed upon entry. The room had a musty smell, like the carpet had been wet at some point or was holding odor. Staff did allow us to change rooms and we went to a higher floor, away from the renovation noise. This room was better, only slight smell, not as offensive as first room. No stains visible on couch. Pool was a disappointment. Couldn’t see the bottom it was cloudy. Wasn’t sure if it was dirty or growth. Kids didn’t swim because of it even though the pool was a reason for choosing this hotel. Stayed at a Hyatt in St Paul MN in January and it was super nice - so thought the Overland Park one would be the same.

What I like about this property was the space in the room, the cleanliness and the pool. What I disliked about the property was the fact that there was no microwave in the room when it was described as having one as well as the lack of a guest laundry facility. The breakfast buffet was great. The staff was not very friendly.

WiFi needs an upgrade - it was slow and wouldn’t always work. Only one working elevator that took forever. Construction out front didn't cause too much of an hassle. Overall not a bad stay for our family.

Missed the fact that the room didn't have a microwave in it to warm up coffee, etc. Also no drawer space for clothes and the bathroom where the shower/toilet was is very small and you had to step all the way in to be able to close the door.

The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a separate living area separated from the sleeping area by a quarter-wall. We were surprised by the great price we got on such a room. The finishings were above average: good carpet, good beds, nice furniture. The food at breakfast was a step above what we have had at many other hotels. Eggs didn't seem like they came out of a carton. We were very pleased overall.

The staff were very friendly and I had no issues checking in. However, when we got to the room the bathroom had a weird odor. It looked clean but it was smelly. The air conditioning unit in our room was also extremely loud; I barely got any sleep. The room itself was fine and the bed was comfortable.

Absolute best hotel experience I have had for many years. Caleb and Katherine were wonderful when we checked in and helped us throughout our stay. The breakfast was actually delicious and I never think that about a hotel breakfast. The room was large and clean. Bed was comfy and the Tv was large and great quality. The customer service is what really impressed me and I will definitely be back!

Size of room was nice and roomy. Beds were comfortable. We never received ANY housekeeping and we were guests for four nights…not even towels! Breakfast area was not kept up with and there wasn’t a person regularly available at the check-in/out front desk. Also the amount I’d been quoted for our stay on-line wasn’t the same as what we were actually charged?!

We had booked this hotel through expedia for two room both with double beds. We arrived late in the evening as our travels got us there at 11:30 pm. When we arrived they only had one room with double beds, which we definitely needed two. The hotel staff said they had extra king rooms that evening but could not give us one bc the manager would not allow them to. So we had to pack up all of our stuff at midnight out of the lobby and go find another hotel. Absolutely terrible customer service. We showed them our booking reservation but they didn't care. They said since we booked through Expedia it wasn't there problem even though we were the guest of their hotel.

Had to change hotels due to y’all’s card reader not working to take my credit card that I had a 3-night hold on, and being cashless did not help either…no sense of care from the receptionists due to the fact my wife and I drove 6 hrs and making negotiations wasn’t even an option…we had no problems last time we stayed and honestly enjoyed it, but this ruined it for us…if anyone at that hotel has any care in their customers they’d make arrangements to work things out instead of letting them go elsewhere while ignoring the problem still, protocol or not…God Bless

Have been coming to this hotel for past 5 years twice a year to attend a customer event. Always had good service. Upon check in around noon, was informed that there is an additional charge of $25 for early check in. NEVER had this ANYWHERE! Only one elevator working, and i was on 6th floor. Construction made parking very inconvenient. Will find another hotel to stay when i return in March!

Overland Park has a crime problem. My Dec. 30th 2024 stay marks the second time I have been the victim of a crime at a Hyatt property in said city. Thieves broke out a window of my truck, which was parked in the hotel parking lot. In June of 2022 I suffered catalytic converter theft at another nearby Hyatt hotel. In both cases there was no security camera images of the parking areas.

Very quiet area right off the interstate. Super convenient if you want to stay close to downtown, but not in downtown. We were able to drive to all the hotspots in 20 minutes without any trouble. Lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel was quiet, even though we had an entire youth baseball team staying at the same place while we were there... we heard them by the pool, but nowhere else. Good breakfast options. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A great stay!

We traveled for a Chiefs game and had a great time in the hotel bar chatting with other guests and the staff. We ate pizza which surprisingly was very good for being hotel pizza. We missed breakfast the first day due to not paying attention to the times but the second day we had breakfast and it was very good with a nice gluten-free selection. We’ll definitely stay here again.
