We spent a lovely evening in the restaurant (great food), and warm cosy bar. Lovely friendly staff. Clean comfy warm room. All very nice and value for money. Free parking at back of hotel. Lechlade is a lovely little town. The New Inn is the best pub in the town.

Lovely building, in a fantastic location, with excellent parking. Comfortable beds and terrific shower. Breakfast was amazing also was the evening meal. Only complaint if any areas of the stairwell in need of decoration, plaster bubbling, but that’s probably due to the buildings age in part.

An old inn with character. Friendly staff, good restaurant and a busy bar. Room was spacious with large en-suite.

Fab place to stay for a weekend in the Cotswolds. The staff were all brilliant and the food in the pub was delicious. We’ll stay again but would request one of the rooms down towards the river and seating area rather than in the building opposite the pub 😁

Comfortable, clean room. Lovely staff who were very helpful. We had one evening meal which was excellent. The only negative was thanks to hotels.com booking system, it removed our inclusive breakfast during booking so we didn't have any! We chose not to add that back in at £16 each/day.

Breakfasts and evening meals were fabulous. Room was disappointedly small and very hot even with a fan. Too hot to sleep well, avoid room 42. Housekeeping fail, room was not serviced and we had to ask for clean towels!

Beautiful old pub. Lots of recently refurbished rooms all lovely. Sadly ours was in the older part of the hotel and although clean and tidy it wasn't as nice as the others. Overall, great location, wonderful staff and excellent food. Definitely worth the visit.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It’s an old building so has its quirks. There was some road noise but that’s to be expected with its location. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.

The room was clean but the window ledge in the bathroom was filthy. The bathroom door didn't shut properly. The light above the mirror in the bathroom didn't work. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels on. It could do with a light above the mirror in the bedroom.

First of all, all the staff we encountered at The New Inn were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I just can't offer a positive review over all. After a fairly standard check we were put in a room in the annex, and immediately found a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor. It's been incredibly wet recently and it's an old building, so not exactly unexpected. It was reported to reception and quickly cleared up. Unfortunately a couple of hours later we discovered another leak pouring water down the bedroom wall. At this point enough was enough and we asked to move rooms. We were quickly and without fuss moved to a courtyard room. Unfortunately this room wasn't great. The bathroom was filthy, literally like an old barn (that I think it actually is). The bathroom door also didn't close. The whole room slept like an old caravan, very musty and damp. The road in and out of the carpark passes right by the doors to the courtyard rooms, so we were woken early morning to vehicles idling just a few feet from the bed. We ate in the restaurant the evening of our stay. The food is fine, it's £15 a main pub grub - you know what to expect. It would have been nice to have had a round of drinks or a few pounds off the bill, considering the difficulties with the room, but nothing was forthcoming. So we probably didn't see The New Inn at it's best, but I cannot in all honesty recommend it, nor would I book again.

Very good for 3 star property - very clean, comfortable bed, tv and coffee provided. Slightly tired decor in terms of flooring but new bathroom suite and very clean. Do not judge this property by outside. Really popular and busy restaurant and bar and lovely food. Helpful and attentive staff.

Solo Thames Path walker. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good for evening meal and breakfast. The price was reasonable and the location spot on. The room I was in was a little noisy, being above the bar and on the frontage but I’’ sure other rooms are fine and it did not stop me getting a good sleep.

Large room, private bath, four pillows, good tv, relatively comfortable bed. Non-standard stairs down to the bathroom, which had a tub, but no shower, and no hot water to run a bath.

The room was a little small, for two adults with walking baggage, but it was comfortable enough and we both slept well. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. A reasonable price, for this time of year.

I asked for a medium rate steak and got well done, (but very tender) and at breakfast i asked for an egg fried hard and got runny. Minor blips, but service was great and very central location, bordering the river. Food was very lush.

For what we wanted the property was ok. However as we stayed in one of the courtyard rooms with a table situated right outside our windows there was more noise than was ideal. So not the restful stay we had hoped for. The staff were good and the breakfast reasonable quality (except the coffee) and good value if bought as part of the room rate

Late booking meant we were on the top floor, not good for us. Difficult access to kettle, so we didn't use it. Window rattled in the wind so had to open it to stop the noise.

Can’t fault the hotel in any way and the staff went above and beyond in their pursuit of making our stay truly enjoyable.

We had the best stay 👌 Amazing staff and the best Sunday lunch 😍 It's such a homely place it's worth the visit. It's close to all the villages and the perfect spot to stay. The owner is lovely and anything you need they go above any beyond. Thank you again for the amazing stay xx

The staff were all very helpful, especially Simon who helped us organize transportation. Food was wonderful, pub was great, and loved the outdoor seating. We ended up staying an extra night and highly recommend!

The manager really did not want my custom. He seemed more focused on reselling my room as I (admittedly) was slightly late in telling them my arrival had been delayed. Definitely a money first, customer second mentality. The place is tired too. I won’t be back.

Lovely warm pub on the hight street in Lechlade. Food, menu and service in the pub was excellent.
