Convenient for beach (via cablecar) and Christo Rei view. Room was reasonably good, with balcony although view was a bit compromised. On arrival, reception staff were extremely friendly and we were made most welcome. If you are driving, you can park in paid bays right outside -10c will get you 15mins to drop bags, for example - free parking a bit further away. Neptuno restaurant nearby highly recommended for good simple food, very reasonably priced. We stayed one night, which is enough to see the area (and a Gajarau dive) - but good base if you are on a longer diving course. Some other places to see around the island !

O colchão estava ruim, fundo. Não tinha sinal de wifi nos quartos, somente na área próximo a recepção. O aquecedor de água parou de funcionar em 2 dias. No café repetia as mesmas coisas todos os dias. O hotel não tem estacionamento. Tem uma boa localização, recepcionistas muito simpática.

There are a few things I liked a lot and a few things I didn’t. Pros-Very walkable,Lots of cafes, restaurants and grocery near by,Indoor pool,View from the balcony, the rooms were very clean,in room microwave and hot plate and I got a pleasant surprise of cake and champagne on my birthday. Con’s- No AC thankfully I visited in the winter,the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, No wifi in rooms only in common areas,Walls are paper thin, no elevator no kettle for tea or coffee in rooms With that being said this is a perfect pick if you’re not going to sow and much time indoors. It’s a little dated but it worked for our shot stat

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, komplette Anlage Recht weiträumig, nicht alle facilities in Betrieb ( Poolbar aussen), dennoch alles tadellos in Ordnung. Buffett mit Wiederholungen und auch einfach (bsp: morgens nur Rührei, nicht gekocht oder Spiegelei.) Trotzdem relativ umfangreich. Aufmerksames Personal I'm Speisesaal.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per una settimana e ci siamo trovati davvero bene. La camera era spaziosa e pulita, la doccia grande, c'era anche il bidet (che per un italiano é una cosa importante) e un balcone spazioso. Ci sono 3 bellissime piscine in cui rilassarsi, una delle quali con un bar a disposizione dei clienti. La terrazza del ristorante é stupenda, la colazione abbondante e variegata. La cena niente di eccezionale, ma comunque perfetta per una vacanza. La struttura si trova a 5 minuti a piedi dal Cristo Rei e dalla teleferica che porta in una bellissima spiaggia. Ci torneró sicuramente.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay with my boys and their football team at the tournament in Madeira. The hotel was lovely, breakfast was lovely, views was amazing, the rooms were beautiful and very clean condition. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone.

Zadbany, acz wiekowy aparthotel, należący do sieci Dom Pedro. De facto składa się z 6 budynków położonych wzdłuż ulicy, z ładnym zadbanym ogrodem. Dobra baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Madery, a dla mniej aktywnych do spokojnego wypoczynku. Nam trafił się pokój raczej z tych mniej wyszukanych (nie było przeszklonej całej ściany na balkon, dywanów, dekorowanych ścian, tylko podstawowe meble). Kilka basenów w tym kryty. W największym odkrytym bardzo czysta słodka woda, wymieniana co drugi dzień. Generalnie czystość była wielkim plusem obiektu, mimo że widać jego lata. Śniadania (tylko to mieliśmy wykupione) - duży wybór, ale raczej niezbyt wyszukane. Największym minusem śniadań - kawa tylko rozpuszczalna. Minusem obiektu - WiFi działa dobrze w okolicach recepcji - w pokojach już niekoniecznie (warto rozważyć zabranie wzmacniacza sygnału). Personel życzliwie nastawiony, pomocny (wycieczki zorganizowane, samodzielne podróże komunikacją zbiorową, wynajem auta - warunki lepsze niż online). W okolicy wiele dobrych restauracji o rozsądnych cenach. Najbliższa plaża - kamienista, klimatyczna (niezła restauracja) - dostęp albo krętą uliczką (i trudne podejście z powrotem) albo kolejką górską (3€/os w dwie strony). The location and gardens are amazing. The staff are wonderful. Great brunch! The rooms were very clean. Towels are very old, thin and small. It was incredibly noisy. You can hear every movement through the walls and ceilings and the housekeepers shouting in the hallways at about 8:30 am. There are many large groups that stay and they are up late at night, up to 2 am sometimes, drinking and talking very loudly.

No wifi. Muffy smell in room. Loud noise from barking dogs and customers in the hallways. no elevator for luggage. The swimming pool grass had dog poop laying around. the breakfast had horrible coffee and juice. Our beds were very uncomfortable, my friend even bought a air matress to lay on top. We called the night before to see how to check-out at 3 am due to our flight, they said (in a rather unfriendly way) they were open 24/7. When getting to the reception when called multiple times and no one showed up. The receptionist came running after 5 min from the indoor pool, where he was napping.

Leider war es sehr laut. Ich hatte das Zimmer direkt an der Eingangstüre im Haus 1. der Fön war im Schrank oben versteckt. Im bad war eine Kakerlake, sie kam immer nachts aus dem Türloch am Badezimmer Tür rahmen raus. Es hieß dass ich Meerblick habe.. bei mir stand aber eine große Tanne. Das Frühstück war eher kleingehalten. Aber alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist mehr als 20 min. Vom Meer entfernt. Der Bus sollte 1 mal die Stunde kommen. Man wartet schon mal 20-30 min. bis er dann tatsächlich kommt. Die einfache Busfahrt nach Funchal kostet 2,60€. In der Ortschaft kann man lecker Abendessen in den Restaurants. Fast alle Aktivitäten beginnen in Funchal. Nicht jeder bietet Abholung vom Hotel.

The view from our room was beautiful. The room was very clean, and the housekeepers were lovely. The hotel is slightly dated and could do with a good refurb however it was a good base for our trip. The breakfast was nice too! Well located with only 10 min drive from the airport and 10 mins away from Funchal. Bolt and Uber were both available in the area which we used to get around as it’s very cheap! Also only a short walk from Cristo Rei which can actually be seen from the reception area.

Positives were a nice pool and convenient breakfast buffet. Negatives were bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable and the noise was excessive all hours of the night into the early morning. Motorcycles flying by, car noises all hours, people in hotel playing load music, drunk people yelling on the street until 4am. Not only is it loud the walls a paper thin you can hear conversations next door and down the hall. There are no fans or AC to help with the noise or comfort of thjs place. I would never book again.

O colchão estava ruim, fundo. Não tinha sinal de wifi nos quartos, somente na área próximo a recepção. O aquecedor de água parou de funcionar em 2 dias. No café repetia as mesmas coisas todos os dias. O hotel não tem estacionamento. Tem uma boa localização, recepcionistas muito simpática.

The view from our room was beautiful. The room was very clean, and the housekeepers were lovely. The hotel is slightly dated and could do with a good refurb however it was a good base for our trip. The breakfast was nice too! Well located with only 10 min drive from the airport and 10 mins away from Funchal. Bolt and Uber were both available in the area which we used to get around as it’s very cheap! Also only a short walk from Cristo Rei which can actually be seen from the reception area.

Transportation is ok bus stop right outside hotel to Funchal centro, there are a few places to eat locally, a fruit and veg store, a supermarket 2mins from the hotel or if you fancy a walk there is a hipermarket 8- 10mins away. WiFi only available in reception area and nontes facility in room. If Great view of the sea and nice location on the overall.

No wifi. Muffy smell in room. Loud noise from barking dogs and customers in the hallways. no elevator for luggage. The swimming pool grass had dog poop laying around. the breakfast had horrible coffee and juice. Our beds were very uncomfortable, my friend even bought a air matress to lay on top. We called the night before to see how to check-out at 3 am due to our flight, they said (in a rather unfriendly way) they were open 24/7. When getting to the reception when called multiple times and no one showed up. The receptionist came running after 5 min from the indoor pool, where he was napping.

Convenient for beach (via cablecar) and Christo Rei view. Room was reasonably good, with balcony although view was a bit compromised. On arrival, reception staff were extremely friendly and we were made most welcome. If you are driving, you can park in paid bays right outside -10c will get you 15mins to drop bags, for example - free parking a bit further away. Neptuno restaurant nearby highly recommended for good simple food, very reasonably priced. We stayed one night, which is enough to see the area (and a Gajarau dive) - but good base if you are on a longer diving course. Some other places to see around the island !

A very nice place to stay as a base whilst visiting around the beautiful island. Its not far from Funchal by BOLT taxi service and close to airport too, so not difficult to travel to the main centre.

Weitläufige Anlage über 5 Häuser. Das Restaurant war im Haupthaus, es befand sixh im Mittelhaus. Die renovierten Zimmer (das Hotel nennt diese Clubzimmer) sind mit Klimaanlage und großer Dusche ausgestattet und sind wirklich schön. Hinter den Häusern ist ein schöner gepflegter Garten mit Pool - und vielen Mücken. Es gibt auch einen schönen Innenpool der beheizt ist. Das Frühstück war in Buffetform. Sehr einfach gehalten. Das merkwürdigste war das Rührei. Das war wirklich ungenießbar. Es schmeckte einfach nicht nach Ei. Eher nach Eiersatz mit Soja. Das Abendessen war auch in Buffetform und-das, obwohl vielleicht 8 Tische bedetzt waren. Das Eesen war lecker und es gab viel Auswahl. Besonders hervorzugehen ist dabei der Nachtisch.

Zadbany, acz wiekowy aparthotel, należący do sieci Dom Pedro. De facto składa się z 6 budynków położonych wzdłuż ulicy, z ładnym zadbanym ogrodem. Dobra baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Madery, a dla mniej aktywnych do spokojnego wypoczynku. Nam trafił się pokój raczej z tych mniej wyszukanych (nie było przeszklonej całej ściany na balkon, dywanów, dekorowanych ścian, tylko podstawowe meble). Kilka basenów w tym kryty. W największym odkrytym bardzo czysta słodka woda, wymieniana co drugi dzień. Generalnie czystość była wielkim plusem obiektu, mimo że widać jego lata. Śniadania (tylko to mieliśmy wykupione) - duży wybór, ale raczej niezbyt wyszukane. Największym minusem śniadań - kawa tylko rozpuszczalna. Minusem obiektu - WiFi działa dobrze w okolicach recepcji - w pokojach już niekoniecznie (warto rozważyć zabranie wzmacniacza sygnału). Personel życzliwie nastawiony, pomocny (wycieczki zorganizowane, samodzielne podróże komunikacją zbiorową, wynajem auta - warunki lepsze niż online). Leider habe ich Halbpension gebucht , das Essen war jeden Abend kalt . Trotz Wärmebehälter ( man kann sich das Angebot also sparen ) . Das Hotel hat mehrere Gebäude wir waren im Haus 5 ,leider sind die Betten schon sehr durchgelegen , so dass man jede Sprungfeder spürt. Die Zimmer sind Alt , was an sich kein Problem ist , allerdings macht sich der Zustand im Badezimmer bemerkbar. An unserem Zimmer war draußen ein Hauptstromverteiler,welcher alle 2 Nächte stark gebrummt hat , die Feuertüren vielen während unseres Urlaubs mehrfach zu. Das positive ist die Aussicht und der Garten und das Frühstück. Ansonsten kann ich dieses Hotel leider nicht empfehlen. ( wir waren kaum dort ,aber auch zum schlafen ist es so nicht geeignet Haus 5 auf jeden Fall nicht .
Leider habe ich Halbpension gebucht , das Essen war jeden Abend kalt . Trotz Wärmebehälter ( man kann sich das Angebot also sparen ) . Das Hotel hat mehrere Gebäude wir waren im Haus 5 ,leider sind die Betten schon sehr durchgelegen , so dass man jede Sprungfeder spürt. The view from our room was beautiful. The room was very clean, and the housekeepers were lovely. The hotel is slightly dated and could do with a good refurb however it was a good base for our trip. The breakfast was nice too! Well located with only 10 min drive from the airport and 10 mins away from Funchal. Bolt and Uber were both available in the area which we used to get around as it’s very cheap! Also only a short walk from Cristo Rei which can actually be seen from the reception area.
