Needs a refurb

Was very nice. Room 20 small but well presented. Some lovely features in the hotel and grounds are stunning. Staff were very good and helpful. Hotel needs upgrading and when done will be amazing.

Facilities are a little outdated and it would be lovely if there was a gym or pool but we loved the quietness and local walks. Dinner options were quite expensive so we ate elsewhere but the breakfast was first class and the staff were top notch!!

Beautiful house and setting. Some building works going n whilst we were staying but it was very unobtrusive. Lovely staff and fab food.

Sadly it’s time for the Manor to have a major refurbishment - it’s not what it used to be. The check in was a mess, the room very dilapidated and in my opinion the bathroom was unsafe, no toiletries, minimal tea and coffee making facilities, the bar staff were nice but did not provide the service of a premier type hotel, the breakfast was good but not as good as before

Period property so lots of quirks to the building and lots of land around the building and very quiet.

Hotel is a nice but old building, the grounds are amazing however the drive is deep gravel, very unnerving to drive on. I was put in a disabled room, the tv could not receive a lot of the channels that should have been available, the shower was very poor taking a while to heat up and the smallest showerhead you can get, more in keeping with a youth hostel or trade/builders room. Staff were friendly but very casually dressed, no uniform and not what you expect to be greeted with at this type of hotel. The bar was not fully manned, but we was served quite quickly but no draught beer or cider just Guinness etc from cans. There was no wifi information, i.e. password, nor was the breakfast prices available

A very disappointing stay. Our room was tiny and in the servants quaters in the top of the hotel. No FREE BREAKFAST AS ADVERTISED - £17.50 English cooked breakfast. Bar was abysmal. Free drink for being eco friendly with towels etc: but doesn't happen if you are not provided with a room do no disturb sign for the room door!! Sorry first and last visit. On a plus side- staff were great and bed comfortable.

Amazing stay, the staff were so friendly and helpful, my room was not ready as I arrived early, when I said I had a wedding to attend, they got my room ready super quick, it was much appreciated. Room was spotless and the bed super comfy, when I visit family again, I will be 100% be staying here.

I liked the adequacy of the soft furnishing such as iron facility and the openness and light in the room. One could have benefited from a little fridge to keep the drinks cool. Breakfast was excellent, and staff are friendly and well spoken. In light of the ongoing national racist nonsense, one didn’t feel any sense of hostility being black. Kudos!! Not sure if it’s allowed in hotel facilities but a toilet brush would have sufficed to take care of streaks created in the toilet from those personal and private moments without having to ask the helpful housekeepers for assistance. Shower gel had finished but seemed to be a genuine oversight which was quickly put right when the front-desk staff were alerted.

We stayed at Flitwick Manor for one night in a Superior Double Room. The drive up to the Manor House is impressive and the grounds offer space to walk and take in the views of the Manor Park. Inside the hotel you feel the history of the building. Unfortunately the decor is a little tired and could do with refurbishment. There is so much potential here, but stains on the walls in the dining room and worn carpets throughout let the hotel down. The Superior Room was in the attic of the house and was large. Accessing it requires climbing steep and tight stairs - not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Also due to the age of the house the floorboards were typically sloped. The staff were extremely friendly and provided a good level of service. The cooked English breakfast was one of the best we’ve had with quality ingredients. We would stay at Flitwick Manor again but would look for a discount on the full price.

Lovely cooked breakfast, comfortable bed, extremely clean. Nice friendly staff who will do anything for you. Service with a smile. Enjoyed my stay immensely.

Window didnt shut properly nor did the door lock in one room. Next room the carpet was dirty and needed hoovering. Head board had stains on there. Staff in restaurant rude.

I stayed in room 19, which was advertised as a premium room. The room was in poor condition, the carpets and facilities were below average, and the general cleanliness was poor. The rest of the hotel appeared okay, with excellent and attentive staff, and super service throughout. The dining was also to a good standard.

Staff was friendly and helpful especially when we turned up for breakfast early lol . I would say the toilet seats don’t fit the toilets bit of a let down on a nice room

We enjoyed our stay at this historic property. It was clean and charming and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was comfortable however bath was small and positioned under a slope wall making the shower pretty useless as it wasn’t possible to stand up. Overall, a bad design in the room I was in. However, the hotel is in a nice countryside setting and the staff are really friendly. Would stay again but choose a different room.

Lovely quiet hotel friendly helpful staff. Excellent food in restaurant. Comfortable room and bed but only downside was that shower over bath had low sloping ceiling so couldn’t stand up had to sit in bath and shower yourself no shower curtain or screen.

Friendly warm welcome !

Excellent service, best we've had in ages, friendly, well trained and efficient. Food was very good. Room was ok, but bed and pillows too hard for us. Wardrobe was ancient. Bathroom was good, well decorated and everything worked well.

Beautiful location and hotel. Very peaceful for a break.Staff are all very friendly and welcoming.They bend over backwards to make your stay memorable. The dining staff can't do enough for you, nothing is a problem with them Would highly recommend this hotel

Booked a double room for myself but didn’t opt for the breakfast option as it was saying the cost as £40. Lovely welcome and check in where I was told the £40 was incorrect and have breakfast if I wanted it. The room looked great initially however the shower option was a handheld shower over the bath in an eaves so impossible to stand up and have a shower or wash your hair so ended up having a strip wash. The light switch to the bedside lamp was at the other end of the room to the bed so had to get out of bed to turn them on and off. No Plug sockets with USB ports so had to charge my phone using the back of the TV. I went for breakfast which was £17 for a cooked one so chose eggs Benedict where poached eggs were and overcooked/hard. The cereal and drink’s selection was set up just outside doorway to restaurant so was cramped if more than one person was there. On check out I was asked if everything was ok so I aired my views on the lack of shower facility which a response of “ok” was received. I also challenged the cost of a bag of crisps at £3 which received no response. The lady checking me out had a “couldn’t care less” attitude which was completely different to my welcome which will be my lasting memory of my average visit to this establishment. 5/10.

Quaint manor house a short distance from town center. Lovely grounds and very quiet. Lots of free parking on site. Check-in was fast and easy. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Many dining options on the property or in town. We would stay here again.

The Manor is set is a large private estate with an adjoining ancient but active church also set in a very old churchyard. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient, and both dinner and breakfast were of exceptional quality, and served in a fully wood-panelled dining room. The overall ambience of the place couldn't be faulted.

We stayed at Flitwick Manor for two nights so that we could attend a wedding nearby and not have to drive to the venue. We took our 12.5 year old Labrador cross with us, as he now doesn’t like being away from us. We had a lovely big room , away from other guests, so we weren’t too worried should the dog bark at something. We asked if the dog could be left in the room while we were out, it was not a problem. The grounds of the manor were lovely for strolling around. There were rabbits and squirrels galore to watch while eating dinner or breakfast outside. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was too. The wine was delicious. The staff even made the dog some sausage and bacon for breakfast, as he wasn’t eating his normal food. I offered to pay but it was complimentary. The bed was very comfy, the room was warm (it was 30 outside) but there were fans to use. All the staff were very friendly, to both us and the dog. My only suggestion would be a revamp of the bathroom. The shower was old and quite small. The cold water tap needs looking at. We will definitely return here though.
