The room was clean with comfortable beds and the staff were exceptional. We liked the multiple filtered water dispensers available on every floor along with the awesome gym.The location was conveniently close to a MRT transfer station and having a convenient store in the lobby was great.The breakfast buffet was delicious for a reasonable fee in a very relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed our stay here - friendly staff, room with thoughtful light design options, clean, updated deco. Housekeeping staff was great. Family style room suited us. Main complaint is the requirement for swim caps at the pool. Also- pool is shallow, so even on a hot day, it will not be good to cool off in. Water machines close by for hot or cold water, self-service laundry machines in house, and 7-11 attached to hotel. Very convenient.

Overall a very enjoyable stay and experience at this hotel. Staff was extremely friendly, amenities like outdoor pool, sauna, gym, yoga are a plus for your in between down time. They also help exchange money on site without additional fees, instead of having to go to local bank or ATM.

Quite dirty. Room linens were clearly not washed well. Also when I first came in the room, only one of the electrical outlets worked. They sent an engineer up to fix the problem and then it was fine, but I was shocked it was an issue at all. Bath mat had hair from either staff or the previous guest and hadn’t been cleaned.

The hotel is outdated and tired. It’s in a very good location and the staff are very attentive. However, the facilities definitely need upgrading. For example, many sockets are loose and broken. The hairdryer is still of old fashioned on the wall type. It’s very tricky to style and dry the hair at the same time. The room is full of bad drain blocked smell so I have to buy air fresher to disguise the bad smell. All staff are very helpful and polite. For the price, I don’t expect it to be a 5 star facility. There are plenty of newer and sleeker choices in the market in Taipei.

Newly renovated (few years ago), improved from when it was Sunworld. Older building so larger rooms. Very conveniently located, swimming pool, full sized gym, washing machines, tons of food and other conveniences in the neighborhood and a full shopping mall next door. Only negative is some sound from the hallways, so recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise will stay here again if I get the same price.

The room was cold! When we called the front desk, they told us the whole hotel was set at one temperature and we are not able to customize it to our liking. It was set at 20.5 Celsius,, so our choices were to turn off the AC or freeze to death.

Room is clean and spacious with two king size beds. Shower hot water can be unstable at times. I was there for two days. First night was great. However second night there was loud bass sound coming from 16th floor pub. I had to go down to the lobby and complaint to the hotel but the loud bass lasted overnight till 2 or three. Disappointed, it is not a cheap hotel. Beware your corner suites!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, overall the staffs and the front desk were super helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. There were two downside for the room that we stayed: 1) Sound proof was not very good, we could hear someone slammed the door through out the night, not sure were the bathroom door or what. We needed to change to another room for a good night sleep. 2) The bath tub was very tall, you need to climbed into the tub to shower, making it very dangerous.

Phenomenol service! I am so grateful- on our last day we lost cell phone in a taxi. We do not speak mandarin and the concierge and front desk were able to retrieve the phone from a taxi/uber. I highly recommend their facility. I like the modern looking rooms. Top notch service- everyone greeted us daily from the front desk to the bell boy. There was also an easy self check in and check out counter. We will return and stay again.

Buffet however, waitress close coffee machine just 10:01 without any notice. Tried to tell them but the answer was pretty rude and turned it on unwillingly, Restaurant reception guys were rude as well, the room charge didn't include breakfast thus we questioned at the entrance but the two guys \'s answer was "1,100 if you are not staying here...., if you are, 550.00 ....". We would like to suggest they should need some more training and etc.

Close to key bus and MRT rail transportation, Illume was in a great central spot from which to travel all over Taipei. The Hotel itself has unique architectural features in terms of the shape of the hotel, built around a large buffet restaurant, many curves, and welcoming hallways. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was one of the best hotels I’ve been to in a while. The staff was amazing during the check-in process and recommending certain places in the area for food.They were very accommodating for adding another night. It’s so convenient to get on to the subway system because you’re literally at the center of it. All this will be my future hotel for years to come.

松山空港からのアクセスが最高に良い。地下鉄は南京復興よりも台北アリーナの方が近いけれど、バス停も近く、交通の便はいうことなし。またホテル自体も大きく、それなりに年数は経っているものの、部屋も清潔だし、清掃スタッフの方も含め、みなさん感じが良くてとても良かった。ランドリーもあり、真夏に洗濯できたのも助かった。プールは思っていたよりも小さくて結局利用はしなかったけれど、ヨガスタジオや更衣室などの設備も十分。何よりもとっても静かで本当に快適なステイができました。日本人観光客も多かった印象です。地元の方々の会議や結婚式などでよく利用されるようで、騒がしい大陸の方々はいなかったような感じ。総じて満足で、また台北を訪れた際には利用したい！

I had a great stay at Illume Taipei. From check-in to check-out the staff was very nice and helpful. The interior is a bit old, but they have maintained it well and keep it clean so it still looks nice. There is a convenience store in the 1st floor that is open 24/7. There is also a commercial gym on the 1st floor that is free for guests to use. There is a pool and some saunas on the 5th floor. The state of these did not look the best, but they are good enough. I did not try the restaurant so I can not comment on this. However, I did notice a lot of people came here during the lunch buffet, so I guess the food is nice. The hotel is close to both the metro station and several bus stops, so it is easy to get around.

台北アリーナの斜め前に位置し、MRTが2路線利用できます。茶色の南京復興駅まで徒歩7分（屋根がある道で雨でも安心）、緑のラインの台北アリーナ駅まで徒歩3分、ホテル近くの交差点には大きなバス停が2つあり、どこへ行くにも便利な場所でした。松山空港からタクシーで約6分、160元でした。故宮博物院までタクシーで265元、寧夏夜市まではバスを利用しました。ホテルの中にセブンイレブンがあり、隣には微風南京というデパートがありました。南京微風の地下2階のレストランも良さそうな店が多かったです。南京復興駅へ行く途中には、はま寿司、ココイチもあり、日本食が恋しくなっても安心です。また、ホテルの裏側のステーキ屋さん、ブランチのお店を利用しましたが、リーズナブルでとっても美味しかったです。部屋も広く清潔で、食べ物屋さんも徒歩圏内にたくさんあり、スタッフの方も親切だったので、4泊の台湾旅行を満喫しました。台湾に行く際にはまた利用したいホテルです。

Overall a very nice hotel, room was great, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was OK, probably not worth $18, just my personal opinion. Location is good, close to train and bus stations. lots of places to eat around the hotel. Best of all, the price was very good. Great value.

It’s a popular hotel for functions such as business meetings, weddings, sport association events… etc. We witnessed probably two weddings, countless business meetings, and most notably the wrestling association with athletes from all over the world. Even with all the events, our rooms stayed very quiet. The large lobby on first floor was nicely air conditioned with cool air. However, once you get into the elevator and any above levels, it was not conditioned until you enter a room. The laundry room and gym areas were air conditioned as well. It was hot in the elevators and walking through the long corridors to our hotel room. The hotel is situated with many breakfast restaurants nearby in walking distance. We didn’t see the appeal to pay more than $600NTD per person for breakfast when I can easily find something to fill ourselves for less than $100NTD per person. Also the 7-11 in the hotel is super convenient for quick drinks and made to eat food on the go. The buffet restaurant in the hotel offers the same selection at lunch and dinner, same prices too. We tried the dinner buffet one night and found it to be very enjoyable. Lots of seafood and variety of international cuisine. Thank goodness the restaurant was air conditioned even though it was open ceiling to above levels. We still felt relatively cool. The hotel staff seems to speak pretty good English. I didn’t have a problem since I can communicate in Mandarin.
