A good hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful. Great location for La Alhambra and a walk into town. Breakfast very good. Pool and ‘gym’ a bit on the small side and a bit past their best. Probably more a 4 than 5 star property - but the room rate reflected that.

Amazing hotel! Beautiful property so close to the Alhambra and the Generalife gardens. The room was very comfortable with well appointed bathroom. The hotel staff were all lovely, helpful and spoke English and Spanish. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace with delicious food. The rooftop pool is relaxing.

This hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in.Reception staff went above and beyond to help out. They even provided a weighing scales for our luggage which was great as we were near the limit. The breakfast was excellent and the spa area superb. Just minutes walk from the Alhambra and also to the town centre. Couldn’t fault it

We had a wonderful stay at Áurea Washington Irving. The hotel is absolutely beautiful — elegant, peaceful, and spotlessly maintained. Our room was extremely comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. One standout moment was our early departure on the final morning. Since breakfast was included in our booking but we were leaving before service started, the team kindly prepared a picnic breakfast for us — complete with menu options. The food was tasty and really appreciated! The gym is very well equipped, and the rooftop pool is a lovely spot to relax with great views. The hotel is also ideally located for visiting the Alhambra and nearby gardens and parks. Do note: the hotel is situated at the top of a hill, so returning from the city center involves a bit of an uphill walk — but we considered it part of the workout! We’d absolutely recommend Áurea Washington Irving for a quiet, comfortable stay in a truly scenic part of Granada.

Great property 2 minutes from the Alhambra. Great staff and restaurant, only downside be careful of Google Maps it will take you into Alhambra parking, and that’s okay as long as you don’t mind the walk with your luggage. Valet parking is also an option.

Compared to the immediate area, this hotel is considerably nicer in aesthetics and cleanliness. However, this hotel appears to be just that. Pros: - close to the Alhambra, quite literally 2 minutes walk from the main entrance - it’s next to a cute rooftop restaurant Jardines Alberto and the food is not bad - if you’re planning to visit the Hammam Al Ándalus as well, it’s a 15-20 minute walk. A tad challenging on the road’s inclines but easy enough to get to - the staff at reception are really friendly and helpful Cons: - not sound proof at all. You could hear people in the halls talking and closing their doors and everything else in between - the restaurant is really understaffed especially at night, makes it hard to enjoy service when there’s only 2 gentlemen that are doing room service AND taking orders in the dining room and lobby bar - food is mediocre especially for the price - breakfast buffet is underwhelming. It’s a very small corner at the back of the restaurant with limited options compared to a lot of other buffets - could see mildew and mold in the grout between the shower tiles. - it’s quite far up the hill which makes it difficult if you want to go and explore the city or other food options in the immediate area

Great location to visit Alhambra . City bus stop right in front of the hotel to go to town center and other neighbourhoods (Albaicín ou Sacromonte ) . Room I had was well appointed but a bit small . Cleaning need improvement ( floor under the bed was very dusty) ...bathroom was well cleaned. Reception staff was friendly and responsive A good stay in all

The hotel was lovely and in a great location. Staff were helpful. The room was spacious with a big bed. However the bathroom smelt damp/musty which was a little off putting. Also the mattress was very firm, too firm for me, but that is a personal preference.

The rooms are spacious and elegant. Our room seemed so fresh and clean. The bathroom is spacious and well-appointed. We had a beautiful view of the Alhambra from our window. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and very welcoming. They went out of their way to be helpful.

The room was spotless, we liked the hotel very much. The staff were very nice, especially the woman on the front desk on our last evening, 10 January and on our check out day, 11 January (the same lady). She was absolutely lovely, and kind. We liked everything actually, except that it was really difficult for us that the heated towel rail did not work. A maintenance man put a lot of effort into trying to fix it. We were trying to use it to dry our laundry. These things should be checked and tested before guests arrive. Thanks though to the lovely staff, and the lovely design of the hotel, we enjoyed our stay overall.

Amazing hotel next to Allhambra. Extremely clean, ambient lights and music. Tastfully decorated, with comfortable beds and beautiful modern bathroom. Breakfast was AMAZING! Large choice of food, from savoury to sweet, fresh fruits and various juices. One can also order eggs or salads made to order, included in the breakfast price. We will definitely be back!

When I stay at a hotel, there are certain non-negotiables: the bed has to be comfortable, and the room needs to be reasonably quiet. This room was quiet, no problem there, but the bed was terrible. I really don’t have any other complaints about the hotel, but if the bed feels like a board except near the edge of it, where it feels like you’re going to fall off of it because the mattress is poor, well, that’s a fail in my books. I gave it two stars because the rest of the hotel was fine, and the location very good, next to Alhambra. But if you don’t get a good sleep because of the bed, it defeats the purpose of the stay, doesn’t it?

A very nice property, very high-end looking. Comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. The decorum is a bit avant-garde. The strangest thing about our room is there is no shade to block out street lights and lights from other buildings at night (maybe we did not figure out).

This property is located next to the Alhambra. Also, it's a 10-minute walk down the hill to the shopping and dining areas. The hotel is in great condition, well decorated, and clean. Their staff is exceptional! I would like to mention the front desk employee, Karina, who was extremely helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport. I am an avid traveler and I mostly stay in Marriott and Hilton brands. I must say this property superseded my expectations, and I didn't regret that I didn't stay at a Hilton or Marriott. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting Granada.

Incredible hotel in all aspects - great location, charming historical hotel yet modern comfortable rooms, amazing staff (all so friendly), excellent facilities, generous breakfast, and just perfect in every way!! We would recommend and will return. They also presented me with a breakfast birthday cake when none of my group said anything - just by noticing my date of birth during check in I suppose. Just brilliant!! Thank you!!

The staff were fantastic. Utter stars. They seemed genuinely delighted to help accommodate us. The views of the Alhambra were magnificent. Can't believe we could sleep while looking at it. Easy transport, hop on hop off train literally outside the door and taxis/ local bus just outside up the hill nearer Alhambra entrance. (Taxis within minutes if called) Lovely walk down the hill towards gate of the pomegranates / city centre. Would happily stay here again, worth every penny

Booked this to be close to the Alhambra. It is walking distance to town and also accessible via bus which conveniently stops outside the hotel. It’s a beautiful hotel, lots of amenities I didn’t use but wish I had time for. Shower space is a little smaller compared to the massive room and bathrooms. Staff are very nice and helpful.

nice location near the Alhambra at the top of the hill. Convenient to the Alhambra, and easy to walk down to the city. We used taxis to get back up. There is nowhere in Granada that is walkable to everything you want to see with out some uphill walking or taxis.

This was a perfect end to our Spain trip. The hotel is so serene after visiting the busy cities! Granada is bustling down in the city, but coming up here at the end of the day was just amazing! It’s quite a trek up to the hotel, but so scenic. If you’re not able to walk, there are taxi options. Highly recommend staying here, we would certainly book it again!

We loved this property. Beautiful walkways however be prepared to walk up hill on the way back from town. Food was great. Staff was accommodating. Clean and they use a diffuser in the hallways which in my opinion had a pleasant scent. My daughter used the gym and enjoyed the available equipment. I signed up for an upper body/ face massage. Well worth it.
