The location was excellent and the room was very clean with an efficient AC (not common in Europe). We arrived at 11am (before check in time), the hotel staff helped us complete the check in process and moved our luggage to the room when we come back. The breakfast very good as well. However, the chair in the room was slightly wobbly, and there was no fridge in the room.

The Hotel Oldinn is ideally situated for the old town and castle. With parking nearby and it's location on the old square it is hard to beat. Having said all of that we were unimpressed with some aspects. Staff seemed rather complacent and not particularly courteous to guests. Breakfast was ok but restaurant staff lazy and a little rude. We asked for fresh water and felt like we had committed a crime! We were awoken twice at 6.30 on the second morning of our stay by a member of staff calling and insisting we needed to wake up for our tour. We did not, he had called the incorrect room number. There were no large towels in our room when we arrived and so those had to be requested. I also requested a sewing kit to make a repair but this never arrived. Finally, there was a large number of black hairs in our room; in the bedding, floor and bathroom. To be 'great' a hotel not only has to look nice but the service has to be good. Sadly, Hotel Oldinn failed in that aspect. I am sure staff get fatigued by the endless stream of tourists in summer but we were rather disappointed by service levels.
