Hotel did not live up my expectations. It seems they have updated some things however cheaply. Ensuite bathroom was redone, broken drain and no toilet tissue holder. The overall smell of fragrance is overwhelming and carpet looks molded. Service was curt at check-in. Was told breakfast til 10:00, went down at 9:20 and then told it ended at 9:00. Told them of mix up and was not offered even a cup of coffee. Very disappointing.

Food excellent, room small but adequate and clean. Easy parking. Staff very helpful. The hotel is a conversion from a very old house that's dark and a bit run down but the bar and restaurant are very nice. Overall very good value for money @ £85/night for double room and first rate 3 course meals from £17
