The pool was not operating. It was an issue apparently. They could not do anything for us and told us emails went out that morning before we booked therefore we didn’t get the email. Turns out they didn’t send out the email until after we left today and said it was scheduled maintenance. Will not book again for the fact my kids were looking forward to the pool which we couldn’t do.

Lovely spot and very impressive breakfast. We appreciated how clean, quiet and new everything felt. I will say the pool is the tiniest pool I have ever seen and this meant we spent very little time there. It was overrun and impossible to get in the pool as it was body to body with screaming children the entire time. I had thought the pool would be a great feature but we felt unable to use it at all. That’s the only disappointing aspect of the stay.

I had an amazing stay would definitely go back clean friendly in the gym was the perfect size for me. Don’t hesitate this is a great place to stay. Beds are comfy is wonderful and the location was perfect.

Kids loved the pool and slide. The pool was a little over capacity most evenings and is on the smaller side. There wasn’t a close eye kept there by staff and a hockey tournament with some teenage boys left me a little weary of my littles in the pool. I don’t blame this too much on the staff but a closer eye would have been nice.

When I got to the hotel, the computer system was down no problem. I waited a bit to get my room and then it was taking too long so the attendant at the front desk gave me what he called a temporary key to get into my room. When I went to my room, the temporary key did not work so I had to go back down to front desk. The system was still down, so then I had to be escorted by who I think is the custodian of the hotel and he opened my room door, but that's after having to wait for him to arrive to the lobby to pick me up, which took several minutes. I checked in on Monday and I understood that housekeeping is only every second day so when I left the hotel at 10:30 AM on Wednesday morning, I asked that my room be cleaned when I return to the hotel at three. It still wasn't clean so I went back down to the front desk to ask once again if my room would be clean and I was rest assured that it will be done by 4:30 because that's when housekeeping leaves. As a result, I went to the pool for one hour and 20 minutes and then I returned to my room at 4:20 and to my surprise it was still not done and then I had to call back and make a big fuss over the phone and finally they came in our room, but they rushed everything because they were leaving at 4:30 meanwhile, we had to shower while they were in our room cleaning because we had the reservations for supper at 5:30. I've been outside of the city. I also told the front desk person that the fridge actually froze my entire grocery.

Upon entering the room, all I could see was a giant stain in the middle of the floor. Dirt and crumbs over the carpet. In the washroom someone had used the toilet that wasn’t flushed for our 3 night stay. The Fairfield was once our favourite hotel to stay at, but after this experience we will most likely look to stay somewhere else.

Room was dirty. Bathroom had hairs everywhere. The Carpets weren’t vacuumed. Mini fridge was dirty. Moldy Food left in the microwave. When we pulled out the sofa bed there was popcorn on the mattress. 0/10 for cleanliness. Will not return.

一間國際油名的酒店, 在整體管理及房間清潔低於一般水平. 我住兩晚, 竟然沒有人清潔房間,廢紙箱內仍然有垃圾, 沒有更新毛巾, 及收拾床舖, 查問前台人員, 竟然對答時執房的政策是alternative day收拾房間, 即是我住兩晚不會有清理房間的服務. 早上在大堂升降機與一名應該是酒店的管理人員一同乘搭, 升降機地面有水漬, 我跟他說有水漬, 他只是笑一笑, 我回來再乘搭升降機時竟然沒有清潔. 其次所謂歐陸式早餐, 冇乜選擇, 咖啡非常普通, 將預製食物翻熱, 只係讚的是,工作人員清潔台面十分努力, 對這間酒店有少少失望.

Our stay was good. Though the tv in our room would not connect to the central cable service. Though a maintenance person did show up and say he would need to investigate how to resolve the issue and would return, we received no follow up from that point on, and gave up on it. The rest was fine.

Cleanliness and room were a plus. We stayed in the fourth floor. Room was good. But kids running around the hallway from late afternoon until after midnight….plus the bass from a bar close by was all you could hear after the kids stopped running the hallways. We did not get much sleep before our flight, that’s for sure.

Love this hotel. The staff are always professional and knowledgeable. This trip I had a family member with me who is a wheelchair user. Being unable to visit family, family came to the lobby of the hotel to see us. The staff on the front desk provided our 3 yr old niece with some coloring sheets and the such. They were very kind and helpful. Thanks again for a great stay.

Hotel was overrun by kids who were mostly unsupervised. Parents were too busy in the lobby with open alcohol until almost midnight, maybe longer. Had to complain because there was kids in the hallway next to our room with hockey sticks hitting a ball against the wall, one parent seen it and said "hallway hockey, awesome" I couldn\'t believe they would see that and not intervene considering it was after 10pm. Pool was crowded the entire time, we could not get close to it, it had to have been over the maximum capacity as it was. Front desk were not very empathetic to the complaint. They didn\'t tell the kids or parents to be mindful of other guests. I seen multiple service people just turn a blind eye to it. I had more reservations made which I cancelled because that was absolutely a waste of money for a stay that we couldn\'t enjoy and just basically had to stay in our room and try to sleep with all the chaos going on. Will not be back. Will not recommend. There has to be more in place when you accommodate these teams. I understand they are kids but we\'re paying for a stay and expect to make use of the amenities offered. Everyone else shouldn\'t have to suffer because hotel staff cant ensure safety standards aren\'t met.

The hotel was clean, check in staff weren’t very welcoming, the breakfast was terrible, and a dog barked all night! The organization on the breakfast counter was off putting. You were back and forth looking for items that should have been located by the appropriate food, which created chaos of people trying to maneuver around each other. We weren’t thanked for our business, room keys were taken and that was all that happened as I was leaving. For almost $200 for a one night stay, I truly expected a little more for the buck!

Easy access and ample parking. Easy smooth check-in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed is good, a little on the firm side. Bathroom is a good size with a good amount of vanity space. Towels are not great quality. Overall, it’s a good option for staying in St. John’s if you want to be away from the downtown noise. A decent breakfast is a bonus.

The view from the rear of the building was quite nice. The staff were also quite nice. The hotel is situated in a somewhat industrial area and the nearby restaurants (Starbucks especially) do not close their garbage bins so a large number of belligerent seagull congregate here to pick at the garbage and loose copious droppings on cars in the parking lot. Breakfast was 'ok' if you get there early each day.

The hotel was good. We were there for 3 nights and each day the breakfast got worse. No juice, only apples and nothing left in the French toast. No yogurt for 2 day’s. Very disappointed.

Overall everything was great and the staff were very friendly. My only criticism was the breakfast, as the stations were not well set up. The waffle maker was around a corner, half way down the room. Cutlery, napkins and some condiments were behind a wall next to the window. There was one cereal choice also in that location, while other cereals were elsewhere on the opposite side. Disappointed that bologna was the only meat choice instead of the usual bacon and/or sausage. Not meant to be a major criticism, rather just trying to give a picture of the poor layout. Breakfast staff were great. Also liked the location of the hotel.
