Great stay, corner room had a perfect harbor view. No major issues at all. Parking does not have room for oversized vehicles to enter the garage (my rental was a Ford Bronco), so keep in mind when visiting if using a rental car.

I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was clean, very good price for the area (in the downtown core) - nice restaurant. No pool but that is probably the only downside to staying here.

Very nice and clean, modern, reasonable coin laundry on site. Very convenient and close to many amenities. Only gripe is that the Delta offers complimentary parking and this similarly priced and similar amenity hotel does not. $15/night to keep the car in the parkade seems a touch steep.

Rooms were never properly cleaned in three nights and for what we paid that should not have been the case. Definitely need more staff. At 4 in the afternoon rooms still not cleaned. More front desk staff would be helpful as well. Loved St. John’s

Our stay was amazing! The room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable with a beautiful view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting St. John’s!

When we turned down the covers to go to bed, we found a blood stain on the sheet. Called front desk, they sent a houseperson promptly to replace the sheets but no apology, no offer to switch rooms, no discount on room. Nothing. Explained the situation upon checkout and that person didn't care either. We won't be back and we'll tell everyone we know about the experience.

Black mold around one corner of bathtub and behind bathroom sink behind vanity. So dark in the room due to terrible Lightning. Had to use my flashlight to pour water in the coffee pot. Get rid of the crazy movie theatre light and the water proof light by the bed. Why anyone would paint the ceiling dark blue in a hotel room is beyond my way of thinking,it’s disgusting. Hilton should be ashameb of there selves. Oh, no ice, called the desk and said, where can we get some ice, they said our ice machine on the second floor is out of service, you will have to go down stairs to the bar and get your own ice. Really! Oh, one more thing, what are those little black beetles that are crawling around the base of the toilet! Never again, just disgusting!

Room was 351$ total and the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. The work desk was so close to the bed that a chair did not fit in the space. My husband had to sit on our cooler to work at his laptop. The desk clerk directed all questions and conversation to my husband when the reservation was made in my name with my visa. I found her dismissive attitude of me quite sexist and belittling!! Our room was not yet ready at 3:30 and not until much later. Things didn’t start well at all and my opinion of what i expected to be a nice treat for my husband and me was somewhat tarnished. Thank goodness dinner at the Little Sparo redeemed the evening!

Easy check in and check out. This hotel still provides daily housekeeping, increasingly rare these days. Rooms are modern. Have a fridge but no microwave. Fitness room was basic but adequate. The restaurant in the hotel is quite expensive, especially for breakfast. But some great places to eat near by.

Overall good experience. Room lighting design was somewhat odd. Poor lighting around bed areas made it difficult to read aside from a very small thing light. All other lights were in opposite side of room and they were spots that shined onto the opposite side. No entrance area light where the full length mirror is located and its location is strange…sticking out and facing you as you walk in. It made for a sombre room. Very cluttered desk/vanity top with fixed useless shelves. Just a weird design for a room. But confortable.

just average breakfast and seating is awkward, room lacked night table and was crowded with 2 people, hard to maneuver. careful when you book aa the hotel name includes "harbourview" so i thought I was booking a harbourview room but that was not the case. nice quiet location, back parking lot is challenging but once you figure the entrance and exit out the underground parking is ok. view is a bit industrial but its a working harbour and about as good as you can expect. staff are nice. nice quiet area, further downtown St. John's likely not as quiet

Only stayed for one night. Rooms are not sound proof like advertised. Can hear every door open and close in the hallway - people coming and going in a hotel is always a thing, so having more sound proofing at the door would be helpful. Our bathtub also dripped the entire night. A few minor tweaks could really bring this property to the next level.

The bathtub faucet had a constant leak and it was an old unrepaired leak. Would have been nice to have a chair in the room. And definitely needed more hooks in the bathroom for towels

The team at the Doubletree were fantastic - they went absolutely above and beyond for us. We arrived on a red eye flight with no expectation to check in that morning, only to check our bags so we could wander around downtown St Johns while we waited for check in time. Our room was ready before 11am and we were able to get a much needed rest then we could enjoy the rest of our day. This was so appreciated as we were traveling with 2 kids under 10 years old. Staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Hotel was quiet. Located downtown so conveniently near restaurants, shops and the harbour. A short drive to signal hill. We had a great stay and highly recommend!

Stayed for a couple days initially and thought it was great! Clean and nice. I tried to stay again 2 weeks later with the same info and card and was denied entry and refund. 1130pm at night i had nowhere to stay and was out 250 dollars. Expedia contacted the manager and made it absolutely nowhere with them. Very disappointed.

When I arrived at 3:00pm check in time. I was told my room wasn't ready. I was asked to take a seat, minutes later the front desk clerk called me back to the counter. She said she had just spoken with housekeeping and my room was now ready. I went upto the room. It wasn't cleaned.... we took pictures and I called down to the front desk. I told her the room wasn't cleaned and that this is ridiculous. She said if you would stop yelling at me. ( I certainly wasn't yelling at anyone. ) I was going to upgrade you to the 5th. Floor waterfront view. I went down to change the key cards. She didn't throw the new ones at us, but pretty much! We noticed a heavy police presence. When we got upto the 5th. Floor the other elevator doors opened and out came the police. They were dealing with a situation 3 doors down from our new room. It was the worse hotel experience ever.... I wouldn't recommend. Side note, we spoke with other couples who also walked into dirty rooms and were also very concerned about the situation on the 5th. Floor.

It took way too long to check in. The girl wasn't at the front desk, she was talking to someone, and we had to wait quite a while. Then when we found out that we were far away from each other, we had to ask if there was rooms close together. Adventully she was able to put us on the same floor. We booked this 5 months ago, so because we booked 2 rooms at the same time, don't you think that we would want to be close together...... It's not rocket science.

The hotel was fine and the housekeeping staff were excellent. But the front desk staff are rude and have no customer service skills. I tried to get a late checkout and was given the runaround by three different front desk staff members who were rude and abrupt. I will never stay at that hotel again

I arrived late to the St. John’s Doubletree. I was met by the most delightful receptionist named Liza, who couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating. The place smelled like warm cookies and she handed me two, and then offered me two more in addition to two bottles of water. I felt like I was at Home! Wonderful people wonderful accommodations. It’s enough to make me wish I was Canadian. They are the best!

Great location for walking and driving. The property itself was lovely. Parking was great with an elevator from the garage to your floor. Front desk was incredible, gave us warm cookies upon check in. Toiletries smelled incredible. I would stay here again!

We were greeted with fresh baked sweets, and the hotel manager checked in and messaged twice during our 1 week stay to ensure we had no complaints and had everything we needed. The facilities are SO clean, and the location is insanely convenient; right on the water. In house restaurant is easily in the top 5 places to eat in downtown St. John's.

A good hotel, but I have to say their breakfast is bad and expensive, 40 dollars (with taxes and tips) for regular coffee, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, some potatoes and 1 slice of bread, is abusive. Specially given the quality, it was very bad and it tasted very processed/industrial food. Also, some issues with bedroom doors which don't close properly.

We loved this hotel! Very central and easy to walk to local restaurants and shops. The restaurant in the hotel (Little Sparo) was delicious! Staff at both the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming! Would recommend.

The hotel and staff are very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. The location is good, making the town centre a bit of a walk but not too bad. The room felt small but we think in was because the ceiling is painted a dark blue. The room was modern and well appointed however. The restaurant did not match the level of the hotel. It was very very pricey but they said very good. We expected a restaurant more in keeping with the hotel price point so ate elsewhere. All in all, we will return and be better prepared.

The view from the harbour view rooms was absolutely amazing! The place was clean..The staff were friendly and helpful. There were a lot of good places the early near the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel..I wasn't very fond of. I had breakfast there one day.. and was not impressed.. I had to wait close to 30 mins just to get toast and egg.. I ordered scrambled and got an omelette.. for almost 30 bucks ..it was not worth it..there is a cafe close by that servers cheaper food that tasted way better.. I don't know about the other food.. but I was not happy with what I had.. other than that this place was great..Highly recommend it.

Good hotel with rooms overlooking the busy harbour in St John's. Comfortable bed, very clean, noisy air conditioning unit. Small but modern gym. Convenient location close to city centre. Restaurant food is good and service very friendly, but the included/ optional breakfast is very limited 'order only', no buffet. One choice allowed with rather odd charges for 'normal' extras, extra charge for toast or fruit!! They need to sort this out because it spoils an otherwise good experience.

Not bad, sad we didnt get a good view for the price paid. Restaurant was reservation only so when we got to the hotel we had to find somewhere else to eat supper which was really disappointing. It also wasnt told that you have to pay for parking every night you are there. Beautiful location, loved being by the harbor and a close walk to downtown and George Street. Im not disappointed but not impressed either.
