Ein Hotel, was in die Jahre gekommen ist, aber dennoch einfache, saubere Zimmer bietet, preiswert und ruhig. Sehr nettes Personal, guter Parkplatz, interessantes Umfeld, gute Anbindung an öffentlichen Verkehr. Genügend Kleiderbügel, bezw. . Haken im Bad, 2! Stühle, Bett und Bettzeug angenehm.Leider war Teppich fleckig aber wenn man keinen Luxus braucht, ist dieses Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Desk staff was very accommodating, as our check in was 3 pm but our flight arrived at 7:45 am, and they let us store our luggage until check-in. They even offered check in as early as 1 pm. Desk staff also offered recommendations of things to do in the period of time between arrival and check in. The hotel is not fancy, but very comfortable, safe, and provided all amenities we needed. The only negative is that I booked the hotel specifically because of having an on-site restaurant/bar, but the restaurant/bar was closed during our visit.

Good accomodation for my purpose (attending a seminar for a couple of days nearby). It's great that the zoo and many good restaurants are so close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint I would have is that the water in the shower didn't go away easily and that it's a curtain rather than glass (curtain was partially not hanging properly and let the water through. I've raised that point at the reception and they were going to look into it. I didn't try the breakfast, as I bought what I needed for the day in the small bakery at Friedberger Anlage (which is really good!)

Um 8h Morgens begann ein Ohrenbetäubender Lärm von Bohren und Hämmern, dass ich aufrecht im Bett stand. Aus Rücksicht auf die Gäste hätte man meiner Meinung nach auch ein wenig später damit anfangen können. Als ich die Rezeptionistin darauf ansprach reagierte sie total genervt und pampig, dies fand ich wirklich mehr als irritierend. Ich war schon zuvor in diesem Hotel und da war jeder sehr freundlich. Außerordentlich schade. Ausserdem funktionierte der Fernseher nicht richtig.

Before leaving this review I read a few of the negative reviews of others. Some had decent things to say and some were just rude and expecting 5 star treatment in a 3 star place. This is a no frills hotel. You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy. And that is okay!! These hotels rooms are basic not for hanging out in all day. There are lots of things to do around the hotel so go explore!! Hotel am zoo is in a very convenient location. Close to coffee shops and bakeries and a good diverse selection of restaurants. Also, Our hotel room was clean and simply put together, it feels very safe here. Also the train station is just steps away from the hotel. The staff at the front desk are very kind and courteous. They were extremely helpful to me when I was trying to figure out the train system and by a ticket to Aachen. I butchered many German words (my pronunciation is horrible) but they were very patient with me and figured out what I needed. If you are looking for just a place to stay so you can explore the city then Hotel am zoo is a great option. Definitely recommend for the traveler needing a no frills but affordable, safe, quiet and clean place. 🤗

Highly recommend this hotel. For the price, comfort, and cleanliness, you can NOT go wrong!! It is in a great location with restaurants nearby. The main shopping area for Frankfurt is only a short 10-minute walk. The zoo is across the street.

Vi havde bestilt to værelser til i alt 4 personer. Det ene var OK, mens der på det andet var en meget dominerende fugt lugt. Det stammede sandsynligvis fra badeværelse hvor der var et hul i badekarret. Prisen på ca. 1400 kr. per værelse var alt for høj ift. værelsets standard. Billederne af hotellet er meget misvisende, og må være taget for mange år siden. Der er ikke aircon på værelset, hvilket vi vidste, men det er et problem når det eneste vindue kun kan åbnes en lille smule. Badeværelser er langt under standard, og anslået 40-50 år gamle. Det ene værelse havde eksempelvis kun varmt vand i håndvask armatur. Receptionist var meget hjælpsom, og morgenmad var fin. Området OK, kan sammenlignes lidt med Nørrebro i DK.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Die Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehtsmittel ist sehr gut, die Haltestelle ist vor der Tür. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Zimmer funktional, aber für den Preis sehr in Ordnung. Die Zimmer zur Straße sind nicht ganz leise, aber der Straßenlärm hält sich nachts sehr in Grenzen. Das Frühstück ist mit günstigen Lebensmitteln bestückt, da bietet ein Besuch im Café mehr.
