Best Western PLUS Fort Saskatchewan Inn & Suites

To start, the hotel staff told me there were no rooms left prior to booking on Expedia and while there were rooms showing available on their own website. Further, they wanted to charge an early check-in fee anytime prior to 3pm and the only parking spot left available for us in the evening was an EV spot. There were at least two other vehicles that were parked across two or more stalls. This was very inconvenient after an otherwise tiring day.

Only problem I had was the pool was not working and this was a factor in deciding on the hotel. Staff were very understanding when we chose to move hotels. Prior notice that the pool was out of commission or a discount offer for not able to provide as advertised would have been appreciated.

Sauna /hot tub not working .been here for six weeks. I can count on one hand how many times sauna/hot tub were working.

Needed more parking

The rooms were clean and cozy, but there was a lack of soap/bodywash, shampoo and conditioner so we got our own. The pool, hot tub and fitness room were great, however the sauna was closed ( disappointed). Most of the staff were friendly and helpful except for the one person that worked the kitchen on Saturday/Sunday. Most of the time he just stood in the kitchen doorway and glared/stared at everyone with his hands either in his pants or apron (couldn't tell) while items/utensils needed stocking and tables needed cleaning. And then he made the strangest comment and said I looked nervous while stood there waited for my bagel to cook? What a weird question to ask a guest? And it didn't stop there. The next day he stopped me to question why I needed 2 plates - he said I grabbed 2, but didn't need them. I told them I was also waiting for a waffle, but he said I still didn't 2 plates. I explained 1 for a waffle and 1 was for the rest of the stuff. He finally left it alone, but not after a bit of a scene in front of other guests, which was quite embarrassing for me. I went back to the table a little upset and he just continued to stand in the doorway and stare/glare at me, and quite possibly other guests. This person seems to be in the wrong business. They may be a good cook, couldn't tell as the food mostly preform omeletes/egg bits/precooked sausages, so they likely just need to heat them up, but their customer service is terrible. I did not feel welcome in the dining area!

Room was huge, bed was comfortable & all with the added bonus of a kitchenette. The pool, hottub & sauna was a huge plus after a tiresome day at work. The omelet station should not be missed.

Clean room but uncomfortable beds. I think they were old. Great breakfast. Ran out of hot water one morning for a shower. Pool and hot tub were great.

Loved it! Clean, well-maintained building. Breakfast and pool / hot tub were excellent. 1 EV charger was working and it saved us time and hassle on our trip from Calgary. Only feedback would be to repair (ideally) or replace the second charger which is physically broken at the moment and may be unsafe.

Very nice hotel. Sauna was not working and pool towels are beyond tiny even for a hotel but otherwise 10/10 stay we will be back

I do not think they ever vacuumed my room during 3 day stay. Walked across floor in bare feet and had crumbs of some sort stick to my feet on first night. They never did go away. Also your fresh air vent indicates your ducts are extremely dirty. I will attach a pic if there is a place to do so. Staff was all very friendly

When I got in the room was not cleaned. Found hair in the bed and dust covered everything. Brought it to the front desk and they had housekeeping go in and clean the room completely. It was ok after they redid the cleaning.

This Best Western has always been pretty clean. The breakfast area is always nice and clean. The rooms are spotless and the beds are great

The room needed a deep clean or even just a cleaning. water damage in the bathroom ceilings. Shower curtain ripped and dirty. Walls very dirty. The parking lot hadn’t been cleared, nearly fell because couldn’t see the sidewalks. Coffee pot didn’t work. Only given 2 pillows, the sheets/quilts were terrible quality. WAY OVERPRICED for the experience. The staff was perfectly lovely. Would never stay here again for the price. Completely unreasonable for the experience.

Usually love Best Westerns always stay that’s why we became elite members . The room was not cleaned there were dirty pot on the stove dirty dishes in the sink and fridge and used bar of soap in bathroom . When asked to move had no same rooms would have to downgrade.

Fast, efficient check in. Clean, comfy room. Had the jacuzzi suite, was great. Great breakfast. Always stay here when I can.

Bedsheets did not seem to be washed as they were covered in black hair and nothing was dusted off, covered in dust rooms need to be cleaned more

The room was great! Very quiet, clean and spacious!

The hotel was clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The only downside was being placed on the ground floor near the breakfast area—after a late-night check-in, the early morning noise starting around 6 a.m. was disruptive. Additionally, the noise from children running up and down the hallway added to the disturbance.

Our room 236 is DIRECTLY above the pool. If you want loud and hear screaming young girls for 4 hours straight then take this room. Also crazy smell of chlorine in the room.

Only negative was the blinds did not close all the way.

Bed was terrible, pillows were terrible. We called the front desk after 11 due to alot of noise in the hallway. Noise was quite for about 15min, but then continued until 2-3am and kept waking us up. Breakfast was better than expected

Our room was more like a little apartment which was perfect because we were there for 10 days, very spacious. Perfect for a family!

Was a great room but found it pretty warm then air cwould come one and cool down but wouldnt last.

Location is great and bed was very comfortable. Rooms were mostly clean however, I detected a gasoline smell in my first room. I ended up having to change rooms in the middle of the first night due to the smoke detector waking me up beeping. In the chaos of a 1:00am room change, I left a few items behind which magically disappeared so careful what you leave in the room as housekeeping will apparently take what they want. Gym was decently equipped (way too hot though) and breakfast buffet was good, with a great espresso machine. Not sure I'll stay here next time due to the theft of my items. That's too big to ignore.

The service was fantastic. From the front desk employee, making sure we had everything we needed, to the amazing breakfast and attendant who made sure we had more options than we could ever need. Well done.

Subject: Issue With Room Booking – Sofa Bed Missing Dear Best Western Fort Saskatchewan I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out regarding our stay last night. When we arrived, we discovered that our king room did not include the sofa bed as stated in our booking. This left us with only one bed for three people, which was quite challenging. I did speak with the front desk at the time, but unfortunately the situation was not resolved. I was told the issue was due to booking through Expedia, which I found disappointing, especially as the listing clearly indicated a sofa bed. My son ended up sleeping on the floor, which is obviously not ideal. We had traveled all the way from Jasper and had no alternative accommodations available. No alternative solutions or compensation were offered, and I believe this warrants follow-up. I would appreciate it if either the hotel or Hotels.com could address the inaccurate listing and offer some form of compensation or resolution for the inconvenience caused. I enjoyed the included breakfast. It was delightful. I didn’t like that I was approved for late check-out which I was told was at noon. I even confirmed at breakfast that I had late checkout and the lady said yes that would be noon. Then at 11:09 AM. A front desk person called me and said “check out is at 11.”

Fast check in and friendly staff

Booked the room to accommodate a family of 5, including three children 8, 9, & 12. Hotel did not have a cot available for our third child, nor did they have blankets available to accommodate the children. We had to buy a sleeping bag from Walmart as well as a pillow to ensure all the kids were accommodated for sleeping. Very few towels in the room. Hotel manager on shift did not offer any solution to lack of accommodation required to meet the reservation. Hotel is clean, breakfast provided is great.

Staff was helpful and friendly, quiet area with lots of shopping options so no need to drive into the city.

Quiet, well kept, accessible, close to amenities and dining options.

The property is conveniently situated close enough to Edmonton to drive in and out, but far enough to away to enjoy peace and quiet.

Had a great stay here. Close to everything that we needed.

Breakfast potatoes were all mushy, omlette station was good but took forever to get it , very slow

Very low water pressure. Breakfast powdered eggs and potatoes were cold and soggy, the sausage was cold and tasted like dry hamburger. Third floor hallway smelled like the pool

The hotel was clean and had great amenities. The staff was very helpful. Price was good. The breakfast included with the stay was phenomenal. Full meal deal including fresh sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, full capacino machine and the best part was the omelette station. The ladies making them are amazing! Highly recommend this hotel.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and have generally had a good experience. However, during our recent stay, we were disappointed with the condition of the breakfast area. The cleanliness was not up to standard, the bin was overflowing, and the trolley for dirty dishes was also full and unattended. Additionally, there was not enough food available, and many of the serving dishes were empty during the breakfast service.

Only problem with the breakfast was the fact it was busy and only 1 person working.
