The Source Hotel

Start with the positives: good shower, comfortable bed, amazing bakery and sushi restaurant on site. Now the rest: no valet and no good place to leave your car while you check in. No one to help with bags. Front desk staff disinterested to the point where they seemed to think they were doing guests a favor just being there. The much-promoted summer attraction of roof top bar and pool both closed beginning August 4. No mention of that at the time of booking or in any of the emails sent almost monthly to announce upcoming items of interest. Coffee shop was understaffed and serviced both carry out and the weekend brunch crowd at Safta restaurant, so getting your coffee in the morning was very, very slow. The view from our corner suite, advertised as Denver and the mountains, was actually of a large empty lot and lots of apartment buildings. The suite had lots of large windows but only blackout shades so you had to choose between light and privacy. We will definitely not be returning tomThe Source.

The room was great and staff were awesome. The only problem was parking. I had to pay $25 a day for parking.

Really nice looking property. Does have some functional issues like A?C doesn't work great, shower is tricky to turn off, sink ledge isnt big enough for toiletry bag, gym is a bit small but the pool and hot tub on the roof are nice.

Rooms were clean but the roof and pool were closed. That’s why we decided on that place and weren’t informed until we had already checked in

They really oversold the pool and rooftop area! Pool was rusted and old not as pictured on the website. Parking was $24/day plus a $25/day destination fee! Food and drink were just ok but way overpriced. Hotel itself was nice but not worth the money

Fitness center was closed on last 2 days- no signs posted went to fitness center, door was locked. Front desk was unaware of alternate site provided. Cleaners arrived at 3:30 in afternoon, which was inconvenient.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. However, I wouldn’t stay here again because of the parking. They charge $24 per day for parking. There is no designated parking anywhere else, and no designated spots for hotel guests. There are several restaurants on the property, so the garage would be extremely full at different times of day. The gates to the garage would stop working and exit traffic would back up waiting on someone to help. I get that parking is a moneymaker for someone, but the hotel guests shouldn’t have to deal with it or pay for it. There needs to be another option.

It was clean and staff was friendly. Room service was fast and delicious. The pool is tiny and impossible to swim in. The jacuzzi is also very small. The area is full of construction, and not too many cool places very close by. But a $10 uber or lyft would get you downtown. They also had a ton of lyft bicycles or scooters to get around and there are ample bike lanes. I'd use this hotel again.

Roof top restaurant was closed for renovations which I was not aware of prior to arrival

The pool and other amenities were being renovated but it didn’t affect the charm and enjoyment of the stay. Fun location and walkable.

The Source Hotel in Denver was a very clean and friendly hotel. The location was great since it had 4 restaurants on site and amenities (hot tub, fitness gym, multiple bars) were convenient and clean.

Sheets were not clean / were stained on arrival. Had to ask them to have them changed out twice, it was unfortunate. We also didnt get to experience the hotel restaurant with the sky view which was a large selling point for picking the hotel in the first place. I also requested a few things that were never acknowledged. Overall the experience was mediocre for what I paid and for what I was expecting. Its worth staying for its location and for its amenities (when and if they are open). Not sure if i would book here again.

Nice clean place. Food at upstairs restaurants was good. Pool and hot tub heated. Room was soso. There was a large bluddy booger on the wall and no spare blanlets or pillows for a room that has a pull out couch. Had to call for them and took a while to recieve. Nothing really all that fancy for booking a suite including the booger. We did get free parking though for the booger.

The Source takes industrial chic to just industrial. The finishes are cold and cheap. All day I could hear the music and conversations though the drain in the shower (for a while I thought there was a speaker in the bathroom that I just couldn’t figure out how to turn off). Conversations could be heard from the the neighboring rooms too. The bathroom was the most disappointing, it was basically the same as a Costco bathroom, but with a shower stall. While the bed and bedding was very comfortable, we’re stained. I was excited to stay at the Source after visiting the market hall for years, but was not offered a beer, even after asking what was on tap at the check in counter, and was immediately disappoint after entering my room. For the price, I recommend staying somewhere else.

Nice clean

Stayed two nights for business. Lots of moths for some reason. Had to kill one in the room and there were like 5 in the workout room - made the experience…adventurous? Bathroom has individual amenities (recommend all hotels to move away from individual sizes for eco-friendly options), bed is extremely comfy with excellent pillows. Rooftop restaurant super convenient - food is fine not mind blowing but there are also plenty of great food options on the first floor food hall. Location is in the hip Rino area. Would not stay here again because of the moths.

The property is awesome and an up-and-coming neighborhood. It was convenient to downtown. I only dislike it when you step off the elevator it smells like sewage. I’d say use some patchouli or sandal wood in those hallways.

Room was small and the AC was so loud it was hard to sleep.

It was a nice and very hip place. The garage doors as windows are a cute gimmick but our room overlooked a roof with a lot of loud fans, and it was also facing straight into the morning sun so we were not really able to take advantage very much. The dining options are good but the food is quite pensive.

i did not like the bathroom privacy and the AC unit loudness.

The hotel was very modern. Loved that. We had a corner unit so the views were wonderful. The market that is next door is worth the time for food and exploring; bakery, bar, sushi, art/jewelry. I’m very surprised that a place like this had Direct TV and no options other than hdmi cords to connect streaming options. Two tvs and only 60 live tv channels. This is my only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I know tv isn’t that big of a deal, but at the end of the night on vacation, some of us love to come back and still Netflix and chill.

The room was clean and comfort. The garage door was somewhat fashioned into window with a corner view. The hydraulic curtain was a nice touch but I wasnt really a fan of the garage door opening up unless the guard was a bit higher. The food was hot and really good and both front desk ladies were very welcoming and friendly. Overall me and husband enjoyed our stay and will mostly likely stay there again the next time we're in Denver!

We booked a suite and checked pics both on Hotels.com and their direct website. The pic of the suite was shown as this full glass wall view in front of the bed in a spacious, open room. Booked based on this. We received room 604 where the bed wasn’t directly facing windows and there was little room to even get in the bed. We tried to dispute with the hotel staff, even showing them their own site and they didn’t really care. It felt like a bait and switch on their most expensive room! The site pics set the expectation on the appearance of the room and there were cheaper rooms with better views/room setups. They comp’d parking but did nothing about the room. Just said it was a suite. They just left us so disappointed as we saved up for this room specifically. So disappointed and disheartened.

The hotel’s common areas were very nice, but the rooms are sparsely furnished, (two hard wooden chairs, bare floors) Scandinavian-style, with bare concrete walls and 2’ diameter exposed structural concrete beams in the room. Brutalist style… Ugh! We were in Denver for a wedding and stayed 3 nights— each night’s sleep was disrupted by the very noisy air conditioning unit. The adjacent BBQ restaurant is excellent—we ate there twice.

Amazing views, minimalistic styling and stellar restaurants! The complimentary wine was a nice touch.

Great property! Modern industrial feel. Nice open space with coffee shop for working, great rooftop deck & dining. Fun rooms (smallish) but great light & big view with wall sized window/garage door that open to the fresh air. Small work-out room with great natural light & fresh air. Super friendly staff!

The hotel was nice enough. But the air conditioner sounded like there was a jet engine in my room.

We usually love staying at The Source, but this time was quite different. I'm a Platinum hotels.com member and we were told by the property they only honor Gold and Silver benefits from hotels.com. This was confirmed by hotels.com. We actually received a room downgrade next to the elevators and the cleaning staff kept coming into our room starting a 9:30am even though we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. So, all those rooms purchased to receive Platinum status are apparently a rip off.

Stayed at The Source Hotel for a work trip and couldn’t be more pleased overall. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the space is clean, modern, and stylish. The large meeting area was nice but offers no privacy. A few notes and tips: Unfortunately, the hot water heater went out during my stay, so I didn’t get to try the restaurant. The hotel refunded the $25 resort fee for that day, which I appreciated. Speaking of the resort fee — it includes a $15 daily restaurant credit, but the credit doesn’t roll over. I saved mine for a Friday night meal, assuming they’d stack. They don’t. If you spend $50 in one sitting, only $15 is deducted. The rest of your daily credits are lost. Don’t make my mistake! Friday night, loud music from a nearby venue shook the room until 3 a.m. It was so loud I ended up taking a bubble bath just to relax. Pro tip: Order bubble bath or snacks via Amazon Fresh — you can pick them up at the front desk. The pool and hot tub are small but offer a beautiful view. I didn’t use them, but they looked great. Walkability isn’t ideal. Also, most Lyft drivers I encountered spoke limited English, so using a translation app was helpful. Final verdict: I’d definitely stay again for a work trip and the room is amazing for introverts like me who spent most of the time in. Great staff, beautiful space, and a comfy room — just be aware of the fee structure and weekend noise.

The staff was not very friendly upon arrival and was just reading a very well rehearsed script to us. The TV in the room wasn’t a smart TV so we had to watch a movie on our laptop. Since there was no room service available I ordered door dash for us and our food sat at the front desk long enough for it to get cold, no one at the front let the dasher up to our room or contacted us that it was waiting. The room was nice and our stay was good but wasn’t as nice of a hotel as it was advertised as.

The staff was wonderful. The location had great markets to get anything you would want to drink or eat. The options were great and location was very convenient.

When I had to cut short my trip unexpectedly, the front desk couldn't have been nicer about it or more helpful. I really appreciated her kindness.

We booked via Expedia months ago for the Punk in the Park festival. The photos on Expedia provided by the hotel were amazing. From the rooftop views to the gorgeous pool to the moderns rooms we were so excited to book this stay. As we got closer to the trip our excitement grew. That all changed on Thursday, July 17th when I first chatted with the people working the front desk. We arrived early, and knew our chances for early check-in were slim but thought we'd give it a try. The people at the front desk, when I skipped in smiling with gleeful anticipation quickly extinguished my positive mood with their sour "can't be bothered" attitude. You would have thought I asked about their dead cat. All of them were rude, unfriendly and quite surly when I stated, that even though we are early for check-in (please note they don't start check-in until 4:00 which is crazy to me), we wanted to see if there was any chance our room was ready. I was sternly told NO. And that was that. No offer to take our bags, or have some water, or sit at the lounge on the second floor. Nothing. Just NO. I gave them my phone number hoping to get a call when the room was ready. After driving around for a couple of hours I returned to the hotel at 3:30, mind you no call from the desk, just hoping for a seat in the AC and some water. Most hotels make an effort to accommodate guests when they arrive before posted check in times not The Source. We arrived 10:00am but check in wasn’t until 4:00pm. I asked for a secure location to store our luggage and asked if they could let housekeeping know we’ve arrived and if they could call me when our room was ready. The receptionist says yes and tags our bags so we leave to get some food see some sights. I call 2:30pm and ask if by chance our room is available but told it’s not. We arrive back at the Source at 2:30pm (no call received but our family has medication packed that we need to take. The same receptionist is on the desk checking in other guests… our bags are still sitting in the lobby so I take them and start to leave when the receptionist sees the anger and frustration on my face she calls out that she ‘thinks’ our room is ready now. The hotel promotes itself as a ‘resort’ charging a 25.00/day resort fee, 33.00/day parking fee. Housekeeping did begrudgingly give me an extra ‘free’ bottled water and towels when I asked (we had 3 guests). The Hot Tub and Pool are both in a sorry state of disrepair (the hot tub hand railing is literally hanging on by a broken screw). Overall I would rate the Source about the same as any budget friendly family hotel but with extra costs.

Always a good stay. Conveniently located to highways, yet not on a super busy street. Cool RINO area. Parking and great restaurants on site - must check out sunset over snowy mountains from The Woods facing West on 8th floor. Recommend for sure.

Fun area in RiNo district. Limited access to public transportation. That may change as the area develops. Walkable to Coors Field. Interesting restaurants and brewerys nearby. Rooms are a little small, but well designed. Free water each day and daily housekeeping (without asking or making an appointment) were pleasant surprises. Would recommend.

The property is very industrial with concrete floors and minimalist cheap decor. The room was fine and clean The bed was comfortable. The area around the property was not very attractive. However, the rooftop bar and restaurant was very nice and they did have a few other dining options on property. You can walk to a few things from the hotel and the train station is less than a mile. Lots of apartment complexes near by but not a lot else.

Up and coming area. Not walkable to downtown and additional restaurants are on the other side of the train tracks. You need a car or Uber.

Great place, only bummer is that it is on the opposite site of the tracks from the rest of the neighborhood

It was a nice Hotel and in a good location. There are several restaurants attached to the Hotel. It makes it easy to check in and then just walk to dinner.

The Source Hotel is located in the Art District. There’s lots to do and see nearby, even at the hotel. Close enough to downtown area to Uber.

The Source Hotel was fantastic. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The restaurants within the hotel were convenient and amazing (reunion good bread—I can’t stop thinking about the Gruyère and ham croissant). Not only good food, but reasonably priced as well. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Denver.

Great location. Ease of check-in and checkout. Was disappointed roof top restaurant/bar were closed for remodeling. Great coffee availability at main floor restaurant. Loved the multiple spaces to relax and hangout.

Property is super convenient to downtown and the Denver Coliseum. Very nice industrial aesthetic of rooms. Access to multiple dinings options is fantastic.

This is an amazing hotel! Rooftop restaurant has a beautiful view of downtown Denver and the mountain scape. Excellent dining in suite and only a $7 uber ride to downtown areas including the Denver Art Museum which is a must-see. The bed was comfortable and there was a long desk in the room and plenty of hook-ups for devices. Enjoyed BBQ, Sushi, Coffee Bar, chocolate shop, and rooftop bar onsite. Rooftop hot tub and pool. Checkin staff are friendly. Large lounge with secured wifi access (could have been quieter without music) but nice area to work with earphones. Room cleaned everyday and essentials restocked. Refrigerator but no microwave. Overall, great experience.

great hotel with lots fo foods options. The woods roof top bar is great for watching son set. Smoke has great barbcue and the hotel is nice wish the jets worked better. hotel staff were great very nice went out of there way i would stay here again only thing i suggest is the cleaning housekeeping staff needs to do a better about being consistant. that would not change my stay or experiance thanks all staff from the time i arrived until the time i left great to work with and went out of there way.
