When we arrived I learned that the hotel elevator was out of service. This was a grave inconvenience because my husband recently had surgery and his foot was in a cast. I contact hotels.com immediately where a representative attempted to assist me in locating another hotel, however there were no hotels available in the vicinity that were equivalent to SpringHill (cleanliness, price, breakfast, etc). As a result, we were forced to make other accommodations for my husband and I remained at the hotel separated from my husband until Saturday when the elevator was back in service. I was offer a mere $100 credit to my account for the inconvenience.

This hotel was awesome! Beautiful inside and out. Room was huge, comfortable and super clean! Walking distance to at least 3 restaurants and a Starbucks (if you like them). Having a bar in the lobby was nice. Only downside actually happened in BOTH Marriott hotels this trip was the computers and printers did not work so that was a minor inconvenience…

Marriott is my go-to when booking anywhere but this one was lacking. Room was spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing. Parking was an additional fee, which I’ll never understand. The pool was absolutely FILTHY. I wish I would have taken pictures of it. It was cloudy, full of hair and white-looking debris (lotion, sunscreen, make-up or something). We were there for 3 days and it wasn’t usable due to the condition.

This was a good choice near I-95 as we drove south back to southern FL. Their website does state there is a $3 charge for parking which I’m not sure I understand but it’s certainly doable. Our room was spacious, bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

If we had known the pool was out of order & closed we wouldn’t have stayed here. There was no offer for a discount due to amenities advertised unavailable & the staff were unaccompanied when we tried to ask permission for an alternative solution. Overall poor experience & won’t be back.

Very clean; also beds were very comfortable. The parking situation was really bad, had to park at an adjacent business and was worried about vehicle. Hotel allowed multiple guests to park truck with trailers, taking up 10 or more spaces per one vehicle.

The property was nice, however our room, 321, had an ant infestation on the bathroom sink. I actually took a video of at least 30 ants crawling al over. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel was booked for size of room we needed so we needed to change hotels. The front desk person was nice and offered a refund, which we have not seen yet, but I am surprised that the cleaning person did not notice the ants.

The front desk was friendly. The room was not thoroughly cleaned especially the couch, shower (with mold) and sink had hair. The towels have hair. Breakfast is average. There’s a $3 charge per night for the parking. I would not go back to this hotel nor recommend it. Not worth the money.

Chose this hotel because it had excellent reviews. So was really surprised when we were getting ready to sleep and discovered a nickel-sized dried blood stain on the comforter on my daughters’ bed. Called front desk, and the lady apologized and brought us sheets. Was finally getting into the other bed myself when a huge roach crawled from the bed and across the nightstand. Moved the bed to try to catch it and discovered a lot of crumbs under bed, which was probably what attracted the roach. Called the lady at the desk, and she was very apologetic again and asked how she could make it right. We asked to switch rooms, and she gave us the room next door. Thankfully, the room was a bit bigger and the roach didn’t follow us (as far as we know). I’d NEVER had this kind of thing happen at a hotel, and I was really baffled. I really hope management takes care that these kinds of things never happen again because it was a nice hotel in itself. However, we will probably choose a different one next time.

Very nice updated rooms, hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. AC works great! Shower gets nice and warm and good water pressure. Mattress is comfy and the couch trundel bed is super cool, comfy and convenient.

The hotel room itself was decent, enough space, a mini fridge, the bed was comfortable. As far as cleanliness goes I would say it's mostly clean, there was a hair on the bathroom sink, several smears of dirt or something else up near the top of the shower/bathroom area, and the room could use vacuuming of the baseboards but otherwise was good. It wasn't moldy or musty. The walls are pretty thin so if you're going on a weekend or busy time of the year it's going to be fairly loud. There were people who were banging around up until 3:00 in the morning. Housekeeping we're going around knocking on people's doors at 8:30 in the morning asking if they were done in their room instead of waiting for people to check out which made an insane amount of noise and woke me up when I had gotten in and about 2:00 in the morning I was trying to sleep in. Front desk staff was efficient but not very warm. I would say for spending most of the day at the beach and louder noises don't bother you go for this location and book it because the bed is comfortable and it's a nice size. If the reason you're staying is you desperately need a quiet place, I'd recommend looking at other properties

It’s an extremely loud hotel. The walls are super thin and you can hear anything going on in the rooms next to you. I had two neighbors that were up all night listening to music or talk on the phone screaming and yelling. If you want to sleep, definitely do not stay at this place.

I liked the location. The room was clean and in great shape. The air worked perfectly and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The front desk staff was not very friendly. There were 2 people at the front desk, each taking care of guests. When one of them finished, she walked in the back, even though I and another guest had been waiting for over 5 minutes. I then had to wait another five minutes b/c the other guest went in front of me. We were late to our dinner reservation. I didn't like that they only give 1 caffeinated coffee pod and only 1 creamer/sugar per pod. Coffee in the room is one of the most important luxuries of staying in a hotel. There also seemed to be outside patrons who weren't guests of the hotel milling around in the lobby and speaking to the front desk staff which kind of made us uncomfortable so we immediately left the lobby.

Gentleman at the front desk wasn’t very friendly or helpful. When we returned later that evening we planned to stop at the front desk to request an extra bath towel and blanket but there were a few people checking in so we went to the room waited about 30 minutes and then called the front desk to request what we needed and to also find out what time breakfast was served(we were not told at check in and we couldn’t find it written anywhere) the phone was never answered after 3 attempts! We gave up and solved the issues ourselves. Other than that everything else was very good.

The hotel met my expectation as far as cleanliness and comfort go. They do charge $3/day for parking which I did not see mentioned when booking. Also, the breakfast this morning was disappointing. We came down when there was still 30 minutes left in service. They had run out of yogurt and there was no bread in the display case. They also ran out of plates leaving many people to eat their waffle out of the bowls for cereal.

The room was clean, the staff friendly, but, as you would expect, in the Baymeadows area of Jacksonville, a tad noisy. The worst part was the "breakfast." The area was destroyed by a busload of students, and the staff seemed to consist of one uninterested woman, therefore there was just some soggy eggs, no protein, no waffles (out) no juices (out) and generally a total mess. Several other people just walked away in disgust.

Just have to pay $3/ day to park but plenty of space. We were here for our wedding reception and the accommodated our guests. Very friendly staff and clean hotel. Loved the breakfast, it had bagels, waffles, yogurt, fruit and cereal. Coffee and juices too! Very nice, love the area, would definitely stay here again when we come to Jacksonville!

This was a very clean hotel, and my room was lovely. The person that checked me in was absolutely amazing! The breakfast was absolutely horrible. All they offer is fake (and cold) scrambled eggs, cold sausage patties, packets of instant oatmeal, and a small container of vanilla yogurt. The hotel fees are super expensive, so I expected an outstanding breakfast. I was super disappointed to say the least.
