The location is very convenient. Everything was clean and functional. The bed linen was soft and comfortable. The common living and dining area was bright, spacious, and stylish — so was the shared shower space. The staff were kind, polite, and always smiling. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they provide a meal voucher that can be used at selected local restaurants nearby.

Overall, this hostel was very clean and well kept! The front desk was very friendly, and the breakfast meal vouchers had a lot of great local options nearby. Wifi was fast and reliable, and the common area is a great place to hang out with filtered water, coffee, and tea included. 10/10 would recommend staying here for a solo trip!

being a hostel, we had access to the common area even though our room had its own amenities. it was great being able to take a nap before our room was ready because we arrived early, as well as on the last day to rest for a few minutes, repack, and fill up our water bottles. fantastic place, 5 min walk from the taipei main station airport line (walk directly north across the street)

I am there for business, this is really the best I can find. Location is just 2mins walk from exit Y13,just beside is 7-11 Come with lift which some of the hostel nearby doesn't. Level 4 public area also very comfortable if u want to relax they also provide free coffee.😊 And locker that fits in your cabin luggage, feel safer. Highly recommended for solo who want to look for cheap but quality stay. Last but not least staff are very friendly.

Stayed here previously a few years ago and liked enough to stay again this trip. Spacious without feeling cramped but definitely need to take turns opening luggages when staying with friends (at least in the double and triple room). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was allowed to leave our luggage overnight since my friend & I were going to return after a one night stay in Jiufen. Love the additional bathrooms & showers on almost every guest floor; the shared spaces are pretty clean. On property washer & dryer are a big plus as well. Great location as it is right by Taipei Station (HSR, MRT, local trains, and long-distance buses) and near multiple other subway lines within walking distance.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the interior was new and comfortable. The common area is quite nice for hanging out/relaxing, and seems like it would serve for getting work done, too. Shower room is shared among all genders, although I noted that there was a women-only shower on the floor below, which would be good for those who want that. The storage space was on the smaller side, which was my main complaint.

They provide a washing machine. The only negative thing ro mention that breakfast invludes is misleading as you just get vouchers for stores nearby but those will not be enough for a drink and meal sin any of those.

No phone inside the room to call front desk. Took long to get the clean towels once requested. No sound proof - can hear the footsteps from the floor above. No window for ventilation. No clean smell in the room - when entered the room you can smell the moth ball. The shower booth was not clean - the walls and floor had water stains and black molds; the showerhead had water stains and was dirty.

Everything is efficient. Helpful staff. Room and bathroom is clean. The only not so good thing is I got a roommate coughing throughout night, then I heard air con a bit noisy and the car pass by occasionally, ear plug could help.

This ‘double room with balcony’ was very small, the lumpy bed was wedged between walls, there was no closet or hand towels, no 110v outlet, there was a foul odor, there was poor lighting and chipped paint, and overall quality was very poor. We left immediately to stay in a much nicer hotel nearby.

Pros: Great Location! Next to Taipei Main Train Station and Airline Metro. A lot of nearby shopping and dinning options. Facilities just looked like the pictures provided in Expedia. Cons: The sink in our room is way too small. Also, there is no counter space for toiletries. I would recommend the hotel can buy some bathroom stand alone shelving units from IKEA that won’t occupy too much bathroom space and providing some spaces for toiletries. Bed room size was decent but can be improved by putting some wall units for storage.

Booked a private room with balcony. Sink is outside of bathroom which is mildly inconvenient, and they do not give extra towels upon request. No iron in room. Breakfast is not in hotel but vouchers are given, which is inconvenient but does let you try local cuisine. Close to Main Station, but still takes a decent walk to get to the actual trains, as the station is very large. Mainly a hostel for backpackers, so do not expect hotel service. Still quite clean and safe, and staff do try to be helpful.

My overall experience with this property is Great. There was just one mishap - they checked me in at the wrong room and asked me to move the next day. They put me in their deluxe balcony room instead of their regular balcony room. It was no big deal but still an inconvenience. I appreciated the meal vouchers and the restaurant options - all were delicious!

Wow! the staff here truly made the experience exceptional. They went above and beyond with recommendations, booking activities, and even helping call my Ubers. Jai at the front desk was especially incredible, so kind, welcoming, and helpful. The location is also perfect for walking around and exploring the area. The hostel is very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

Good: Location is good. Very close to the Taipei Main Station. Easy to find. A 7-11 convenient store just downstairs. The room is decent size and clean. A little bit of the Muji vibe. An small basin in the room. Staffs are friendly. Can be improved: The communication can be better. I requested a late check-in. Originally the information I got was the hotel will provide me an instruction and passcode for getting the key after regular checkin hours. But I didn't receive any follow up. Good: Location is good. Very close to the Taipei Main Station. Easy to find. A 7-11 convenient store just downstairs. The room is decent size and clean. A little bit of the Muji vibe. An small basin in the room. Staffs are friendly. Can be improved: The communication can be better. I requested a late check-in. Originally the information I got was the hotel will provide me an instruction and passcode for getting the key after regular checkin hours. But I didn't receive any follow up. I stayed at Meander 1948 as part of a longer trip. I cycled around the entirety of Taiwan, starting and ending in Taipei with Meander 1948 as my “base”. The staff is lovely. They even agreed to keep my (quite literally) enormous bicycle suitcase while I was cycling. Free of charge.

Stayed here previously a few years ago and liked enough to stay again this trip. Spacious without feeling cramped but definitely need to take turns opening luggages when staying with friends (at least in the double and triple room). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was allowed to leave our luggage overnight since my friend & I were going to return after a one night stay in Jiufen. Love the additional bathrooms & showers on almost every guest floor; the shared spaces are pretty clean. On property washer & dryer are a big plus as well. Great location as it is right by Taipei Station (HSR, MRT, local trains, and long-distance buses) and near multiple other subway lines within walking distance.

We stayed 4 days at the hotel. The most impressive point is the convenience of commuting. It is the Y-13 exit of the Y underground shopping area of Taipei's main station for the hotel. It takes only 1 minute from the exit and it is very convenient for those who use public transportation. Just remember that Y-13 is your exit. The area is pretty busy with many people coming and going. And the streets with many popular restaurants and street food. But the room (we stayed on the 3rd floor facing the street) is very quiet. Even outside has much traffic, and I heard no sound inside. No need to mention the facility is always clean and tidy and the hospitality of the staff is so good. I highly recommend it if you wish to enjoy Taipei with public transportation like the MRT. Of course, I'll stay again for the next chance.

The property is near Taipei Main Station. There are lots of restaurants, shops, and malls around the area. The hostel is quite clean and comfortable to sleep in. I especially love the common area where you can hang out and relax a bit and also meet other people. All in all I had a great time during my stay at this hostel.

Overall, this hostel was very clean and well kept! The front desk was very friendly, and the breakfast meal vouchers had a lot of great local options nearby. Wifi was fast and reliable, and the common area is a great place to hang out with filtered water, coffee, and tea included. 10/10 would recommend staying here for a solo trip!

In addition to being very clean, spacious, centrally located, vouchers are provided in lieu of breakfast to redeem from their partner eateries in the area. We thought of the vouchers as a brilliant idea. It eliminates the onset of boredom of same breakfast on your second morning. It added excitement to your day because of the variety served by the different partners from breakfast to lunch and Taiwanese dessert. Definitely a repeater when in Taipei again!

The staff was super friendly and the room I stayed in was not very large but clean and comfortable with a nice balcony. A breakfast voucher for NT$70 is included, and you can enjoy delicious local food at Li Ji Soy Milk (李記豆漿), a 3-minute walk from the hotel.

Here are some points that haven’t been mentioned in other reviews: • Towel, toiletries and slippers are provided • Hair dryers are not hot if you use them too late • breakfast vouchers (TWD70) are provided for local stalls around the hotel, really nice initiative and enjoyed the food a lot • 1 floor, 2 bathrooms 2 showers. Toilet gets clogged easily, saw somebody’s big floating poop • Common area is not crowded and lovely for relaxing • I found 1 bug on my covers but so far doesn’t seem to be a bed bug.

I really enjoyed my stay at Meander. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They even had an event to see the fireflies. Although the rain made it impossible to see them, PJ (the tour guide) still made sure we had a good time and took us to see a water show by the bridge. Speaking with other people gave me the same impression I had of the hotel/hostel. It is convenient, comfortable, clean, and one of the best stays I have had. I stayed in a single room with a private bathroom and it was very clean with the best pillows (most hotels have terrible pillows). It is close to the main MRT station and next door to a 7-11. I can't recommend it enough.
