Hyatt Place Sandestin at Grand Blvd

My review based on horrible and missable sleep for 7 night stay. The bed very was uncomfortable and made my body hurt, pillows are turning hard like a rock after laying on it for 1 hour or so. It hurts head, numbness in the arms its very bad. Also tried to go to the pool to swim and had to run off upset because it was stinky like rotten eggs and the water was slimy:( I would never stay again at this place or recommend to anyone. We travel 2 weeks of every month and staying at hotels, this is definitely was a bad pick.

Good size rooms, beautiful pool, friendly staff, free breakfast, plentiful free parking.

Great location, very nice pool, plenty of parking. Room was spacious and quiet. Sometimes the property seems like they are understaffed, especially the front desk abd also, housekeeping. Enjoyed our stay!

Our favorite place to stay when in Destin. Good breakfast, clean rooms, nice gym facilities and pool. Highly recommend!

Second stay at a Hyatt property in last two months and both stellar experiences. Specifically this hotel had a great staff and an incredibly spacious double queen room. Larger than some luxury resorts we have stayed in. Very nice breakfast each morning and an unbelievable happy hour. Small location but big on service and amenities. Would stay here again easily.

Hotel very clean, it’s not close to Destin, it’s a 25 minute drive. Beach is not close. Closest beach it’s a 15 min drive. The pool at the hotel it’s super small.

Hotel was a good option for our family and the breakfast was good. A downside was that ther a was only one washer and dryer. Front desk staff were great when i had questions!

The place is beautiful and clean. No parking fees and with complimentary breakfast which are delicious and with many choices daily. Amenities are available like pool and laundry. Staffs are friendly and kind.

Breakfast was decent. Room was clean but bedding had a strong pungent smell. Overall it wasn’t bad.

I've stayed at Hyatt Place properties before, however, this was my first time at this particular location. My stay was beneath the Hyatt reputation I was accustomed to. The first night My Sisters and I did not have access to the streaming app which caused us not to have our movie night. I called front desk and we were told that maintenance wasn't available until the next morning. Once we got up the next morning, one of the beds had a bed bug which bit the person in the bed. We switched to a second room and there was another bed bug in one of the beds. Thankfully it was discovered upon turning the covers back to spray the beds with Lysol spray. This was also done on the first night. We were switched to a third room. Everything seemed fine but we're too paranoid to sleep under any type of covers. We purchased blankets to cover the beds and couch and blankets to cover with along with our own towels and washcloths. The switching of rooms cost us our morning which cut into our activities we were planning to do. No financial compensation was made. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS PROPERTY!! I would add the photos but the app is not allowing me.

It was ok, our room was on the third floor and the carpets were damp, and the bottom of our feet and socks were quite disgusting after walking on it. Very dirty.

The lobby area was filthy. The room was very clean though; We quite enjoyed our suite. Our room had two separate TVs and the one in the sitting area had a lighting issue…was so dark which made it useless to try and watch. The bed was literally the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on. Other than that, the room and location is nice. PLEASE GET NEW MATTRESSES. It should be a crime to torture someone with the current mattresses you have…awful!

The hotel is nice and fairly new. It’s located in a good area with several restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but when I requested housekeeping, unfortunately, they didn’t change the bed sheets. Another issue is that there’s no safe in the rooms. The hotel offers a fairly good breakfast, and overall, it’s not a bad place to stay.

Air conditioner was very noisy. Hard to have a good night sleep.

The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, and great location. The reason for the overall “3” is due to the bad mattresses with sink holes. Very uncomfortable, even the sofa bed made noise with every movement. All beds need to be replaced. Other than this issue it was a great experience.

Not happy! Soon as I arrived I was told they were overbooked and had to stay next door at Residence Inn. A email prior would have been nice. After unpacking I had to pack up and drive across the street.

We checked in 5/31/25 around 5:00pm. It took 10-15 minutes before someone came to check us in. Got checked in went to the room to shower and didnt have enough towels. I called the front desk and they said they would bring some NEVER came. Went to the desk around 9:45pm and the lady says they are out of face towels. Wake up to the fire alarm going off had to evacuate the building. No one let us know what was going on are was it safe to return to our rooms once the alarm went off. My wife and kids were very upset because we didn’t know if it was safe for our kids. All around bad service.

The area is beautiful and the hotel is well kept. The pool area smells like sulfur so we didn't use it like we had expected we would. We did have an issue with our stay that we had never experienced before, so I was surprised a hotel of this caliber in this area would have this issue. We needed more towels so we called at 6am requesting some be delivered anytime in the morning before noon. The front desk assured they'd be in our room by then since house keeping wasn't there at 6am. We understood. At 1:00 we got to our room to get ready from being at the beach all morning. No towels had been delivered. We called the front desk, spoke to the same person. She ensured they'd be delivered in 2 minutes. 25 minutes later I went down to the front desk while my husband stayed at the room. I told her why I was there and she left a message with housekeeping. I explained I'd like to stay and wait to ensure towels are delivered. Ten minutes later they had been delivered. I understand things happen, but having to ask three times in one day for fresh towels, is strange and inconvenient. :) Additionally, we missed our lunch reservation because we were waiting for towels. That was frustrating, but didn't ruin the stay. It just put a bad taste on whether we would stay again. We were looking to come again in December. I hope they figure out this type of communication issue so others can put a five star review in the future. I do want to reiterate the staff was friendly.

In my entire life traveling, I have never ask for a late check out and was told in order to get a late check out it will cost a extra $40. It was strange to me and I felt really bad.

I am not happy and more than pissed off. I arrived on the day of my reservation and I was early. I understood that I couldn't get a room at that time but asked if I could go ahead and pre check in and was told no. I am on a motorcycle and just rode 490 miles so I check in my luggage. I have ticket in hand when I arrive back to be told, there are no rooms available. I asked for a manager and was told they were home. The hostess did find a room close by but I made reservation at the Hyatt. I was offered points. I didn't want points, I wanted to stay at the Hyatt. No happy.

Great place and location.

We stayed one night and found that this was a great place. Loved the shower, comfortable bed, location ( near to shops and restaurants). The staff were very friendly. We took a walking trail in the morning to the beach. The breakfast was good. Recommend.

The location is perfect. 5 Mins walk to Grand boulevard. Not far from accessing the beaches. The sitting area was so pretty and cozy.All the team members are very nice, polite and friendly.

We had an awesome stay at this property, it was everything we needed. All the staff were amazing. We love the happy hour. The food we ordered was delicious. The morning complementary breakfast was good. Hotel clean and beautiful inside and out. Good parking for this property and we felt safe. The surrounding area was top notch.

Very nice hotel. Clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was really good but they waste no time in closing it. If you are even 2 minutes late, you will miss out. Overall, I loved the area and I would definitely stay again.

It was quiet and close to places we visited. The breakfast was outstanding. Enjoyed the flavored water they had out during the day.

Hotel was amazing, clean and attractive space. Our kids loved the pool and the breakfast was well stocked with lots of variety. One change I would suggest would be to have a free coffee bar 24 hours. Also the coffee available at the breakfast was not good.

Room was clean and spacious. The floor was very quiet and no kids running up and down and doors slamming. Very restful after a full days excitement. Breakfast bar was adequate could use some sweet rolls. But was just right and the coffee is wonderful. Truly will be returning.
