Good breakfast and good fitness room

Great stay, lovely comfortable room, lots of space, great bar for evening drinks and breakfast was amazing. In a very central location in Oslo walking distance to train station. Would recommend

Overall really nice stay at the Clarion Hotel Oslo, staff were super friendly and the room was nicely decorated and spacious even for a budget room. The surrounding area is beautiful, outside the main hotel door is the tram station, so getting around was easy as pie! We tried the Shutter Bar for one night with a live Jazz/Dance DJ, really lovely eating & drinking experience. Waiter was really friendly and added some humour to our evening. Only downfall was we ended up staying with around 100 business men and women so breakfast was a bit of a battle - getting around and trying to find a seat. However the selection was really amazing each and every morning. Highly recommend the pancake table where you can watch them being made! Would recommend a stay here!

Has a good gym for a hotel

Hotel Clarion is in a very central location to everything. The hotel is clean, the breakfast was great. Even the gym is quite well equipped compared to other hotel gyms. We checked in a couple of hours earlier than the usual checking time and the hotel was kind to let us do it without charging us any extra. It was a great experience staying for a couple of nights and we will recommend it to everyone.

Loved the hotel. Room and location were excellent. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. The one disappointment was the only place we could see to get a drink was the attached bar and restaurant, which was soulless and not comfortable for relaxing after a night out. We wanted somewhere to chill on a comfy sofa, not a DJ. That aside, would definitely stay again.

Dollar for dollar an absolute steal. Stayed 2 nights and wish we'd stayed more. Great 24/7 gym, walking distance to Munch Museum and Michelin 3* Maaemo. Lovely staff. Great breakfast. Flawless WiFi.

Hotel centralissimo, in zona adiacente la stazione principale di Oslo e alcuni dei siti culturali più importanti della città ( museo Munch, Opera House, La meravigliosa biblioteca Deichman Bjorvika). Le camere sono piccole ma curate, la colazione è sontuosa per qualità e quantità. Le parti comuni non sono molto ampie e nei corridoi la manutenzione latita ( moquette macchiata) ma nel complesso, nonostante i costi norvegesi ( quindi molto elevati rispetto agli altri paesi europei) è un posto dove tornerei. Un plauso alla gentilezza del personale alla Reception.

Til denne prisen, hadde forventet mer. Vi valgte dette hotellet etter å ha hørt mye positiv omtale og ekstra mye om frokosten. Renhold kunne vært bedre. Det var synlig støv, glassene var ikke helt rene og lakenet hadde en flekk på seg. Minibaren fungerte ikke. Lyset var på, men det var ikke kjøling i den. Dette var ekstra frustrerende da jeg hadde med en niste jeg ville legge kaldt. Det er heller ikke en så behagelig å drikke varm brus. Isbitmaskin i gangen hadde vært en ide, men det hadde ikke hotellet heller. Frokosten var derimot en veldig fin opplevelse. Utrolig god og mye å velge i.

Rask å smidig møte med resepsjon når vi kom til hotellet. Fikk ikke info om hvor og når frokosten var, men det fant vi ut selv. Rommet vi fikk først var kaldt (vindu stod oppe) og badet hadde en merkelig lukt. Når vi tittet på sengetøyet var dette skittent. Det var ikke bra! Når vi sa i fra til resepsjonisten som het (Anna Maria??) møtte vi en svært hyggelig og god service. Vi fikk et nytt rom, med oppgradering. Dette syns vi var hyggelig! Det nye rommet vi fikk var litt større, og holdt en mye bedre standard enn det vi opprinnelig hadde! Møtet i frokostsalen dagen etter var svært hyggelig. Veldig imøtekomme personale og det var til og med live pianomusikk. Eneste vi har å utsette var at hodeputene kunne vært litt bedre og om du ikke liker bylyd, så er ikke rom mot gata med trikk og annen lyd. Dette plaget ikke oss! Kommer vi tilbake? Ja! Riktig god jul og et godt nytt år!

Great Hotel. Location is excellent, on the water, close to the railway station. Rooms are a good size - clean bathroom, comfortable bed. Breakfast is excellent - so much choice, barista coffee. Staff are friendly and very efficient.

We had an excellent experience at the Clarion Oslo. The service was outstanding every member of staff we met was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of the main attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront.

Far from a 4-star experience. It’s unfortunate because this place has some potential … but overall falls incredibly short on 8/10 expectations. The beds are just mushy, smashed bed platforms? I honestly don’t know how to describe what these “beds” are but they aren’t mattresses. It’s just a smashed, mushy, zero support “bed” with a smashed, mush topper on top. If you sit on the edge you will fall off onto the floor because there’s no structure. MY BACK IS DESTROYED. The pillows are also just air and mushy, smashed messes. The rooms are TINY. The bathrooms get 100% wet after showering, you’re lucky if you even have a shower door. You’ll then have to use the 1-2 star bathroom towels to dry yourself (don’t get scratched though because they are old, hard, and TINY) and then use it to dry up the floor after it’s soaked from the shower so you don’t slip and fall…. Fun! They also have random old rugs in the rooms? So weird and feels dirty. Are you telling me they wash these rugs in the washing machine? Doubt it. So strange … such depository for dander and dirt. Also, there’s no AC… just “natural” air … that does NOTHING to cool the rooms … so you have to open your window, which = LOUD from the street noise. Did I mention there’s NO closets or drawers to put any of your clothing or other personal items? Well, there’s not. They have a few random hangers hanging from a bar and a light fixture and that’s it. The shower also has ZERO places to put any toiletries.

Excellent breakfast and great location and rooms. The only minor snags were a non working fridge and if you are staying in a room on the road side it can be slightly noisy.

This property is perfectly located for walking around Oslo. Very good breakfast and very clean hotel

The room size was very nice and the breakfast was superb. I would give it a full five stars if the television programming was sufficient. I don't go to Norway to watch tv, but in the evening I prefer background noise while working (and sleeping to prevent being disturbed by hotel noise) and they had about 10 channels and none were in english. There was no streaming availability and they only offered Youtube, but it didn't even work. That really needs fixed, but otherwise I love the location and it's a very nicely decorated hotel.

No air conditioning. Uncomfortable bed. Only one person on the front desk so always had to wait.

The hotel is in a great central area to do lots of things in Oslo, the breakfast is great with loads of choice. Unfortunately the lighting system in the room is a bit crazy and with no instructions, you spend ages working out which switch to use, with a pad at the door. Also single duvets are not ideal in double beds and disrupt your sleep.

Emplacement idéal dans le magnifique quartier Barcode à deux pas de l'opéra, hôtel très propre et beau, personnel adorable, chambres confortables (super literie!), un excellent petit-déjeuner avec une grande variété de plats... impeccable! Si je devais trouver un seul petit point négatif : notre chambre manquait un peu de rangement (aucun placard fermé où mettre ses vêtements)

Great breakfast, friendly staff and fabulous location. Only drawback was room size, which was smaller than expected and no wifi connection on 6th floor. When we reported this to reception we were told that it was because our room was too far from reception and advised to stay in the lobby if we needed to use the hotels WiFi

Coming off a red-eye from North America, I was hoping to get into a room a bit early. None were available. Everyone was told to sit around and wait, but they'd definitely have rooms available at 3pm. At 2:55pm, they had "no rooms". At 3pm, they quickly gave out the keys to a dozen rooms. They lied about room availability. They wouldn't accept payment for early-checkin. And they forced many people to sit around waiting in the lobby for hours for no good reason. Would not recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was a quick walk from Oslo Central Station and extremely walkable to several main attractions. Staff were professional and efficient. Room was clean and breakfast selection was amazing!! Special thank you to Aurora at the front desk for going the extra mile for us!

Staff were nice, room clean, breakfast good. My only complaint was the heating in my room doesn’t work. I increased the temperature but the room never warmed up. I have informed reception on this issue twice. Both (different staff) gave the same answer and both times I said I did what the instructions said but it’s not warming up. They said they will have maintenance look into it. Never got a response and the room stayed cold. I just gave up.

The room was immaculate!! Great location. Staff is excellent and friendly. Aurora is a gem. Gave us great information for dining. She’s so personable. Breakfast was excellent in every way. Staff were top notch!!! Highly recommended.

Great hotel with clean, quiet, spacious rooms that is super convenient to exploring Oslo. The service friendly and efficient and the breakfast was a huge spread…so good!

Let down by check in confusion- room not ready until 4.30pm. Great location, breakfast and restaurant/ bar area.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but what really made our experience outstanding was the help we got from front desk team, especially from Tom and Danny. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their warm hospitality turned a good stay into a great one, and we’re so grateful for their help. The location of the hotel is outstanding—close to everything we wanted to see and do, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. On top of that, the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of delicious options to start the day right. We highly recommend this hotel not only for its facilities and location, but especially for the exceptional service at the front desk. We’ll definitely be back!

The hotel staff was so kind, thoughtful and efficient. When I mentioned that I will be checking out early before the breakfast time to catch a train, they even offered to prepare a breakfast to-go. The room was clean and had everything a traveler would need. I would definitely stay gere again.

Exceptional place to stay while in Oslo. Walking distance to the train station and to any attractions including the Munch Museum, Opera House, harbor, public Library and many resturaunts.

Excellent location. 6 mins walk from Oslo central station where you can catch the Oslo express direct to the airport. You can walk to wherever you want from here

Great location outside bus and Tram stop. Clean, very friendly staff. Only sampled the breakfasts but oh my its amazing, everything you could want and more!

Excellent location near the waterfront.

I had to leave in the morning before the hotel's official breakfast started (at 7 am) and therefore I ordered myself a breakfast bag, which I picked up at 6 am. The bag contained only one apple, a little apple juice and one small bread, with two small slices of cheese and no more than one slice of ham in between. On top of that, the bread was dry. The content of the breakfast bag was a big disappointment, considering that the hotel night cost almost 400 €.

The breakfast was amazing, selection was impressive, staff was friendly and excellent in making delicious latte! The safe in my room was not working, front desk was able to switch me to another room with a functioning safe. Location of the hotel can't be beat, very close to the central train station, and near an Oslo sauna/bathhouse (highly recommend btw). I wish I've heard of this hotel chain earlier, I would have booked Clarion hotel at Malmo (my next destination).

Be sure to opt for the amazing breakfast buffet that includes made to order omelets and more delicious healthy choices than you can imagine. If you prefer indulgences no shortage of those either. Fantastic location next to opera house, Munch Museum and the not to be missed public library. Yes public library. Start at 5th floor and work way down. Seriously consider dinner at the terrific restaurant? Oslo loves its citizens and demonstrates it powerfully.

2 nights stay. Breakfast superb first morning. Had early start 2nd morning so ordered a take away breakfast, unfortunately it was poor. 1 sandwich an apple and some orange juice.
