The carriage house was very spacious with a lovely tub and shower. The bed was very comfy. We never met the owners. That part felt kind of impersonal. They were out of ice (per text) and there was no water supplied in our room like there was in the house. Otherwise, the room had most of what we needed. The breakfast coupon was for a truly spectacular restaurant with incredible service.

There is no staff at this location. You let yourself in with a code. You had to go to the Lowell Inn for breakfast. No ice or wine glasses available. Our room had jetted tub but no shower. The carriage House was awesome; spacious, meticulously period decorated, lots of lighting, a very capable fireplace, comfortable bed and an abundance of seating. The private parking was just another wonderful perk.

Stay was very good. The hot tub in the room is actually a luke warm tub. However I kind of understand, as hot water would probably create moisture problems in the room over time. Very well kept historic house. The chocolates when entering, and in the room are a nice touch. Nice place!

My husband and I are staying for a little anniversary get away. Amazing experience! The rooms are beautiful, immaculately clean, and there are thoughtful little touches for guests throughout. I’m 28 weeks pregnant with twins and the jetted tub has given me life!

Aurora Staples was very quaint, with beautifully preserved Victorian architecture. It was clean and quiet, and within walking distance to restaurants and shops downtown. Rachelle was a wonderful and accommodating hostess. My husband and I would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful visit to the Aurora Staples. It was just a little away from the main area, so it was quiet and convenient. Very Charming. We stayed in the Riverview room which had a small porch and a hanging swing. Very nicely decorated. Touchless entry was convenient and flexible.

We booked the St Croix Suite to celebrate a milestone birthday with mom/adult daughter. The room was lovely with a seating area and fireplace, so we settled in before walking to a nearby restaurant for dinner. It was dark, but we felt safe. A good hill climb, and more time relaxing. We didn't use the hot tub, but it is big enough for two. The bed was a King, and very comfortable. You do not feel movement of the other person, and we slept great. I would definitely book here again!! Also breakfast at the Lowell inn, just down the hill was delicious. We both ordered the eggs benedict and were not disappointed.

This establishment is situated in an old restored home. It still has the original wooden floors, doors and fixtures. Internet access was very simple and worked perfectly. Location of this house is within walking distance of Main Street, home to many restaurants and antique shops. A walkable linear path over the lift bridge. Very good customer service. We experienced a power outage which lasted 5 hours. We received a partial refund. Even though it did not affect us, a tree was blown down during this recent storm. It was clear out before midday. Would recommend this place for quiet stay.

The property is quaint and rustic. Very close to downtown and very walkable to all things. If you are coming from out of town and Uber-ed from the airport as we did, there are little options to assist with luggage. They did ultimately let us check in early which was helpful. However, if you assume you can drop your bags prior to check in, that is not an option. It states BnB but the breakfast is at another hotel a few blocks away and you have to make reservations 24 hours in advance. Also, the check in check out is all done on your own. Feels more like a shared air bnb than a BnB. Nothing wrong with this but it’s not as transparent online.

Super comfortable room. Beautiful house. Everyone was quiet the night I stayed there. Walking distance to the central district. The sun room off the Riverside Suite has a nice table for work and the territorial view is quite pleasant. Would stay there again.

The Aurora Staples Bed & Breakfast is beautiful! My wife couldn't stop taking about how amazing the room was. Downtown Stillwater is a short walk away, so it was a perfect spot for us. Hope to stay here again someday!
The Aurora Staples Bed & Breakfast is beautiful! My wife couldn't stop taking about how amazing the room was. Downtown Stillwater is a short walk away, so it was a perfect spot for us. Hope to stay here again someday!

Aurora Staples was very quaint, with beautifully preserved Victorian architecture. It was clean and quiet, and within walking distance to restaurants and shops downtown. Rachelle was a wonderful and accommodating hostess. My husband and I would definitely stay there again.

The carriage house was very spacious with a lovely tub and shower. The bed was very comfy. We never met the owners. That part felt kind of impersonal. They were out of ice (per text) and there was no water supplied in our room like there was in the house. Otherwise, the room had most of what we needed. The breakfast coupon was for a truly spectacular restaurant with incredible service.

We had such a great time. Loved the house! We were a bit disappointed at first when we found out they didn’t actually have the breakfast there. We had to leave and go to another inn for breakfast, but the Lowell Inn is historic and the food was amazing, plus it was just a five minute walk down the street. I would definitely stay again.

I love old houses This one is a meticulously kept architectural dream . Well kept and wonderfully decorated. Bed was comfy. Breakfast at the Lowel inn was delicious.

There is no staff at this location. You let yourself in with a code. You had to go to the Lowell Inn for breakfast. No ice or wine glasses available. Our room had jetted tub but no shower. This is advertised as a bed and breakfast but since there were no host in my mind should not be advertised as such.

This property is so charming and beautiful. It looks exactly like the pictures. The location is perfect. It's close to the main street in Stillwater. They made me the most amazing vegan breakfasts. She asked me on check in if I had any dietary restrictions and I was just planning on not having breakfast but when I mentioned I was vegan, she accommodated it on the spot and with delicious food. We could not have been happier with our stay.

We booked the St Croix Suite to celebrate a milestone birthday with mom/adult daughter. The room was lovely with a seating area and fireplace, so we settled in before walking to a nearby restaurant for dinner. It was dark, but we felt safe. A good hill climb, and more time relaxing. We didn't use the hot tub, but it is big enough for two. The bed was a King, and very comfortable. You do not feel movement of the other person, and we slept great. I would definitely book here again!! Also breakfast at the Lowell inn, just down the hill was delicious. We both ordered the eggs benedict and were not disappointed.

The property is quaint and rustic. Very close to downtown and very walkable to all things. If you are coming from out of town and Uber-ed from the airport as we did, there are little options to assist with luggage. They did ultimately let us check in early which was helpful. However, if you assume you can drop your bags prior to check in, that is not an option. It states BnB but the breakfast is at another hotel a few blocks away and you have to make reservations 24 hours in advance. Also, the check in check out is all done on your own. Feels more like a shared air bnb than a BnB. Nothing wrong with this but it’s not as transparent online.

Beautiful, stayed in the carriage house didn't make it into the main house. Was disappointed that the breakfast wasn't at the house. Breakfast was at the Lowell inn a couple blocks away reservation was required. Didn't see anywhere on the website that breakfast would be else where. Probably wouldn't have booked as it defeats the purpose for us.

Beautiful Victorian home full of antiques and charm. We stayed in the Giverny room, which was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. Check in was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully maintained “mansion” with wonderful rooms. Quiet, huge room, comfortable bed, great shower and jetted tub. Fridge and coffee in the hall. AC. Nice breakfast spot just down the hill. Great location—right next to the amazing library and a couple blocks from downtown.

This is a beautifully maintained historic home in a great location. The staff were very responsive. The room was clean and comfortable. It was listed as having a separate tub and shower, but there was no shower. The tub is in the same room as the bed, so there is no privacy. In addition, there are no closets and only one small mirror in the toilet area. The house has a shoes off policy, which may not appeal to all guests (especially older people). I recommend updating the descriptions so there are no surprises.

Self check in/out made the process simple! The room was large and had a great air conditioning window unit. The walk from downtown Stillwater was around 10 minutes and it was nice to be removed from all the bars/noise.
