Good location . The restaurant was closed for two nights which meant we had to go elsewhere , very disappointed . The carpet in the room was stained , the towels “grey” and the lighting didn’t work in the bathroom. All of which are avoidable , we won’t come Back.

Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. Vieles ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar, auch Straßenbahn und U-Bahn. Der hoteleigene Parkplatzes sorgt auch für einen entspannten Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und die Zimmer schön.

This was a great hotel. Very clean and staff very friendly. Room is well equipped and the shower is very powerful. Great breakfast and also evening cocktails 👌. I would highly recommend this hotel if you don’t mind a little walk into the main part of pest. The hotel is about 15 min walk from the castle and there is a lovely traditional Hungarian restaurant across the road. If I ever return to Budapest I would immediately book this hotel.

Lovely Hotel. Close by to Castle. Tasty South American food in restaurant. Only bad point was the restaurant was a BBQ. So Smoke did get into hotel. Also bar was closed too early around 10pm. Mini bar in room available though. Thanks to all the team for making us so welcome.

Quaint stay! Love that this old Monastery is now a boutique hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of daily assortments. If driving here, reserve parking ahead of time. Easy driving to and the parking is behind the hotel but reception needs to open the gate for you. Garden parking and fit our XXL van with no problem. Easy walking to everything including Parliament. Some amazing restaurants nearby that reception recommended. Carpet did have a stain in one of our rooms but eh, who cares. Room bathroom was amazing and there was product in it. AC worked very nicely even though it was hot outside. Bed very comfortable and I liked the fluffy pillows. Staff was nice.

Very nice hotel. On the quiet and less touristy side (Buda) which made it very convenient. The neighborhood is walkable and has great access to transport. Breakfast was excellent and the Russian attached restaurant and the Hungarian restaurant crossing the street are amazing! The staff are very nice.

The staff at the front desk was excellent! They were all extremely friendly, were extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. They spoke English fluently as we did not speak Hungarian. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The shower was the best we have had in 2 weeks traveling with n Eastern Europe. The only complaint was that the rugs had stains both in the room and in the hallways.

The hotel offers very good access to the Duna river, nearby restaurants, Metro etc. Convenient location and great, friendly staff. My only key issues are if youre travelling in summer be prepared for 33 heat and rooms that, while AC available, limit temp to 20 which might seem good but they dont cool to that point. Felt bit uncomfortable in that environment. Other issue was tub only access to wash oneself. Dont understand why no shower facility in bathroom You could use shower handle attached to tub but very messy and difficult to use. The free breakfast, however, was a great convenience.

This is a modern hotel, any thoughts to the monks who used to live here are gone. I unfortunately had a very small room compared to others in our group. Very little room around the bed, and the bathroom was quite small. Others in the group had much larger rooms and huge bathrooms. My room was right off the lobby, convenient yes, loud YES. I heard people in the lobby and restaurant. If you get stuck in 007, ask for another room

Only minor point was lack of storage in the room. There was a small wardrobe and a cupboard but no shelves at all so had to live out of the suitcase. (Cupboard had no shelves, assume for luggage, if you could have emptied it!)

When you’re a hotel attached to a Monastery. cannot go wrong. Our room was surprisingly spacious. High ceilings. With one wall-natural stone from original Monastery. Great location. Easy access to get around via public transport or uber. The only drawback was, the room temperature ran a little to warm for us to sleep comfortably. Even putting on air conditioning did not help. Other than the one drawback, this was a great hotel & we enjoyed our stay.

The room was very large but the bathroom was on one end, separated from the shower on the other end. And a bathtub was in the living area taking up about 60 sq. ft. It was very strange unless you like taking baths in front of people, while watching television. The hotel is a long walk to either bridge which take you to the shopping and dining parts of the city. Finally, there was a sound above our room that sounded like an airplane high above or wind coming through vents. Not real loud but it never went away.

We had a wonderful four night stay at this unique boutique hotel, part of a monastery which has been renovated and converted to a small, elegant and comfortable hotel. Beautiful king room with several chairs, wifi and large tv. Large, walk-in shower. Delicious full buffet breakfast served in a pretty, glass conservatory. We ate at one of the restaurants, an outdoor barbecue kitchen and eating area. Best steak ever. Location is just a block from the Danube on the Buda side, almost across from the spectacular Parliament Buildings. Would definitely recommend.

아주좋은 객실의 부티크 호텔 다웠어요. 호텔정문은 화려하지않아서 부티크호텔느낌이 덜한데 내부는 인테리어가 잘되서 아주 좋았습니다. 욕실 배수도 잘되고 유리문없어도 샤워기물이 변기쪽으로 흘러들지않게 구배를 잘맞춰서 배수가잘되도록해놓은게 신의한수라 생각했어요. 어메니티는 한명당 3개씩 쓸수있게 갖춰져있었고 조식도 훌륭했습니다. 직원들도 모두 친절했으며 체크인전 짐맡기려는데2시가 안되었는데도 체크인해주셔서 감사했어요. 퇴실하는날에는 무료짐보관을해주셔서 감사했구요. 좋은호텔이었습니다.어부의요새까지 도보이동가능하고 세체니다리건너국회의사당까지도 도보이동가능했어요. 교통권24시간권끊었는데 4번밖에사용못해서 여기 투숙하실거면 교통권은 그때그때 끊는걸 추천합니다.

The hotel was lovely. The room was on the small side, but nice design and huge ceilings. The only negatives we had was there were bare foot prints in the plush carpet when we arrived, which says they didn't fully vacuum the room. The other was we were offered a ride to the airport the next morning, but were absolutely not told we had to pay the driver. We assumed it was a taxi and the hotel would charge us and pay (or at the least, the taxi would take a cc). Only when we were just outside the airport did the driver ask for the cash. We had turned in all our Forints the night before thinking we didn't need cash. The driver said her cc wouldn't connect (probably not true) and eventually took us to an ATM to get cash. The amount paid was fair, but did not appreciate driving around looking for an ATM at 3:00 a.m.

The hotel is very nice and located in the heart of the city. The management has to work on the service. - The reception is polite but not knowledgeable and not greatly helpful. Long waiting time on reception. Despite mentioning 3 times, the issues in the room, zero actions were taken. -The cleaning is way below average and no attention to details. - At the end the invoice was wrong adding breakfast to the room we did not take.

A week or so before our stay we added a third nite, so this is for August 18-21. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT!!!! The first nite was in a standard room, nice bed, pillows could be fluffier, awesome bathroom, heated polished concrete floors. Carpet could have been vacuumed a little better. The next 2 nites we moved into our deluxe room, a bit bigger. The hotel is so quiet, the breakfast spread was excellent! Location was excellent, literally 2 minute walk to the Danube shore, great to watch the August 20th fireworks. Walking to the side street leads to the stairs to the Fishermans Bastion. The staff was 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, they were friendly and attentive. They even held our luggage after checkout, our train was leaving in the afternoon. Note: #19 trolly from Kelenföld train station will drop you off in front of hotel end of the street. No doubt, we will stay here agan! Köszönjük Szépen!

The Monastery Hotel great location, easy access to Public Transportation and Tour Buses - The Hotel Personnel were helpful, Courteous, very polite - The rooms very clean. The Hotel personnel we spoke with didn’t have knowledge of the area, nor maps on hand of the city to give / they lacked extreme knowledge of Budapest especially for first time visitors they were no help. We opt for Breakfast at the hotel - there seemed to be no thought putting the breakfast together, I say this because each morning the breakfast was the same each day, even leftovers were served - once a new addition was added Bake beans in tomato sauce. I tried to asking for a poached egg, the personnel refused pointed to an already boil egg previously prepared. I noticed on previous reviews about the same old breakfast served each day, my thinking if the hotel is aware of this compliant but still haven’t changed anything about the breakfast what does that say about the hotel management, why give a review, why respond with a Thank you but do nothing to change the breakfast menu?

The staff told us we could stay a third night in the same room same price, we checked back on third day and they said they were full but had one room left we asked to have that room and find another at a hotel near by, the manager raised the price by $50.00 on the room. It was poor service

Great location w easy access/walking distance to Fisherman's Bastion, St. Matthias Cathedral, Buda Castle, the Danube promanade (w terrific views of the Hungarian Parliament Building) and the Chain Bridge. 1 block from the public trams and busses and a 0.4 mile walk to the Metro. We do walk a lot, so the location was excellent for us. We also used all forms of public transport!

Beautiful property in a prime location. Previous monastery, walls between rooms very thick so extremely quiet. Steps from transportation, the Danube, and several excellent restaurants. Staff members very professional and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with multiple choices served buffet style.
