Great place to stay even thought he elevator didn’t work and four flights of stairs was crazy!! Would definitely do it again felt safe and secure. Staff was excellent and friendly. Great place to stay! Highly recommend

I choose this hotel after reading reviews of many others in the area and have been nothing but happy with the choice. I have been here for over a month for a military assignment. The hotel is immaculately maintained inside and out. Front desk staff is always happy and helpful. The housekeeps are wonderful. Laundry faculties work great and there is always plenty of parking. The location is in a great and safe part of San Antonio and there are plenty of stores for anything you need within a short distance. The only negative I have found so far is wifi connectivity and I don’t get great phone service/reception in the area. Otherwise, I would definitely stay at this location again and again.

I always love staying here but their elevator was not working (not super upset because they called and let me know ahead of time). Thankfully I was on the second floor so I didn’t have to climb a whole lot of stairs. Still highly recommend staying here.

No pool

Everything was great except for the elevator being out for those who truly needed it. I, myself, needed to take the stairs up 4 flights and to stop taking the easy ways. I know my Garmin enjoyed me walking up and down stairs and not down only.

The property is kept really clean at all times. The location is quiet and well lit, not to mention all the cameras they have up (and functioning) help provide an extra sense of security. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The whole location is very warm, inviting, and welcoming.

Considering that Woodspringa typically are low rated. I was skeptical of the high reviews of this property. It’s well kept and in a very nice, safe area. Little disappointed that you had to provide your own shampoo, as well as plate ware and silverware. Plus also no breakfast offered. Still a solid offer for the price despite a $100 pet fee. Only issues that we had was that the room had a slight marijuana odor, the elevator was very, very slow, and a small amount of guests seemed kinda sketchy but they had secured entry/exits and I still felt very safe. What’s weird is that you have to read and sign an extensive contract prior to getting your keys. Literally pages and pages of rules (including a $100 fine for dog poops that are picked up outside)

Everything was PERFECT...except the over-abundance of air fresheners in the lobby, hallways, and elevator. The smell from them was incredibly overpowering and strong...it gave me issues with my allergies, and I had to travel from the room to the parking lot and back with a handkerchief over my nose and mouth. I left feedback for the hotel asking them to do the research into how toxic these air fresheners are and remove them from the property. Otherwise, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Bed bugs got a bunch of bites all over me. Room was clean but apparently not the bed.

Elevator was broken. Stairwell had an awful smell. The third floor smelled like weed…sooooo strong. There are only blinds over the window, no curtains to block out light at all. Mattress felt very cheap. Took over 10 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to even check in. Wish I would’ve paid more money and stayed somewhere else. Will never stay here again.

For the price, this was a decent place to sleep. The walls are paper thin though, so we heard our neighbors a lot. The first night we woke up through out the night every time our neighbor dropped something and the next morning we woke up to the dog barking. The elevator was not working and neither was the coffee machine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Good value for money. The room was pleasant. Only concern was the noise! The air conditioning unit sounded like a freight train. The refrigerator was loud. There was a baby in the room next to ours whose cries woke us at 2 am. Lots of foot noise from the room above us. If you aren’t bothered by noise, this place is great.

Rooms are small but in good condition

Almost ZERO water pressure in the shower. I'm winded from running around to get wet :(

The shower head was shooting out water onto the floor, had to use the towels to soak up the excessive water. I got my socks and clothes unexpectedly wet. This is the only thing disappointed my stay..

Room was adequate and clean. Lack of sound barrier is poor. Could hear flushing toilet and someone walking above us at 2 pm. Location a little isolated.

Pillows are to thick and hard. Not comfortable at all.

Why the customer service at the front is very horrible. I never had anybody at the desk. Couldn’t check in on time because again no one was at the front desk ever other than the people that worked there at the hotel was pretty fine

Very awful stay at this below standard hotel. They only offer housekeeping based on what floor you are on. They knock on your door to leave so they can clean your room. If you aren’t ready, Cindy the “manage” says she will give you 10 minutes to get ready and wait outside the room. You can’t cancel the room service. We left the room 30 minutes later and return at night to find the room was not serviced or cleaned. Called Cindy at 2 different properties and she is too busy to take call and hasn’t called back. Don’t stay here!

We arrived at the hotel late in the afternoon. I am 80 my husband’s almost 80. we were tired from driving up from Brownsville. We were told we would need to pay and I told her that we had already paid Expedia. she said they had no record that we had paid Expedia and that we would have to pay them if we wanted to stay well because it was late in the evening and we’re old and tired. We decided to pay what they ask also I am disabled and have a small registered service dog that I had to pay $5/day for. I located the Expedia receipt on my iPad brought it back down and showed it to the desk clerk. She said that they could not refund my money that I would have to get Expedia to refund the money. Well, I called Expedia and they were very nice. They told me they would call her and check with her and once they determined that we had paid twice, they would refund my money and they did so I have no gripe with Expedia. My gripe is with the hotel. The next thing I noticed was we had stayed there two or three years back and it was a very nice place to stay. It was perfectly clean. The kitchen was a full kitchen had all the things that you might need like pots and pans and dishes and flatware can openers and all that, a full kitchen. Well, they advertise a full kitchen, but they don’t have one they had taken everything out. They had even taken the coffee maker out. Next day complained about no full kitchen. They said they have coffee makers, pots and pans they sell to anyone who wants

10:30pm Check in was a little stressful. The check in desk was closed with a roll down garage-type door. Took a little while to figure out what to do. The hallways and room were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The down side was that housekeeping knocked on the door at 10am to clean the room. Thank goodness I had a towel on, since I had just got out of the shower. With the door closed, I told her check out was at 11, but she just repeated she was there to clean room. So I cracked the door open, still in my towel and said it again. She repeated she was there to clean the room. So I said 11 in Spanish and she understood. I have never had to do that before. It was very uncomfortable.

The check-in process was quick and easy. The staff was very professional and friendly. The cleanliness of the building inside and out was very favorable. The location was great because it wasn't around any busy streets or commotion around. I will keep this place in mind for my next stay!

It’s right on the highway so if you don’t have a car, you might wanna stay away from this. But the main issue was that the staff apart from a few exceptions was really really rude.

I always enjoy staying here and this time is no different. It is always super quiet at night and it feels very safe. I highly recommend staying here whenever one comes to San Antonio. You are not too far away from anything and it is a safe area.

The only reason l didn’t give it a 5 star is for 2 reasons #1. Comes with a full kitchen which is great but you have to buy all utensils, plates , cups , pots , pans ect to cook and eat with. I have stayed in a long stay hotel with a kitchen that actually brought everything so l didn’t need to spend extra funds for things l really didn’t need to buy for that stay #2. The second reason is because our neighbors next to my room seemed to be having ruff loud porn hun sex every night between 5am - 9am l know this because they stayed 3 night from our 7 night stay smh mind you have my 3 kids and fiancé with me to wake up faithfully to this was a bit annoying l wouldn’t have mind if l was alone with my fiancé but l was with my kids and that’s a no for me plus my youngest is autistic and it wasn’t cool l did mention to the front they said they would mention something but who’s really going to listen because if they told them they definitely didn’t care Other then that it was great friendly workers and everyone was nice and accommodating to anything we asked for

Truly a lone-star review for a lone-star state hotel-- no-frills, no amenities (literally NOTHING except toilet paper, water and sheets).

The bed was horrible… it worked for overnight but I’d never use this place as an extended stay as it states! The bed is a METAL FRAME with a mattress that slides all over. No breakfast is served. The area is a little rough.

The location was perfect. I appreciated the full size fridge, small electric top, microwave and sink. The size of the room was standard size. Very clean. My only wish was they stocked the kitchenette with plates, bowls, utensils, cooking ware etc. I saw you could pay extra for that stuff but it would be very nice if it came included. It would have made my stay 10/10. If you even offered it as needed without charging people, that would be a nice benefit too. It’s sad how you pay a lot to stay somewhere and you’re nickel and dimed for other things you need.

Super beyond clean property. Staff very friendly and attentive. **even though it’s a long stay property with burners and fridge there were zero pots/pans/dishes/utensils/dish soap/paper towels** so we still had to spend money eating out since trying to cook with dollar store things on the fly wasn’t very convenient. Also lots of single working men out drinking and smoking throughout the night- not very family friendly!!

Bien, la habitación doble es amplia, el refri y el micro funcionaron muy bien. Hay café y chocolate gratis en la recepción las 24 horas, con vaso, azúcar, todo, muy completo. El baño bien, amplio, limpio aunque como es de larga estancia tu tienes que sacar y tirar tu basura y hacer las camas.

I booked a kitchenette and the description said ‘full kitchen’, My expectations were that it would include cooking utensils, and basic cookware, and plates. There was none, so it was a microwave styled dinner or cold cuts for the week. I don’t blame anyone except the copy in the ad that there should be a better definition of their kitchenette. Also, it would be very helpful to have a seating bench outside when waiting for transportation

For the price this is a good deal! Comfortable bed, room is nice size. Sparsely decorated and be sure to ask for a blow dryer, if you need one, when you check in otherwise you'll need to go to the front desk and ask for one. The room is not stocked with much but I think you can get what you need by asking.

This hotel is a gem! Value is unbeatable for the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and facilities. Convenient to stores. I will mention that it is an extended stay hotel so housekeeping doesn’t clean the rooms daily but you have availability to get clean towels and bedding as needed. Perfect for families because of the full size refrigerator and cooktop. I highly recommend.
