We loved everything about this property, excellent interior design and well thought out common spaces and rooms. We got in late when everything around us was closed, so we ordered food deliver (El Furniture Warehouse) then ate & played pool in the lobby! Love the selection of goodies at the front desk, staff was warm, friendly and inviting. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great working spaces in common areas for when I needed to get some work done. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Modern hotel with pool table and board games in the lobby. Room has a 10 ft ceiling in some parts. I opted for a larger solo room, but the extra space amounted to an extension of the hallway. Otherwise, the room is quite nice with large windows and a great view of the Bow River. The gym is too small and the East Village a little out of the way. Otherwise a good stay.

Modern hotel nicely located by the river - a bit sketchy at night. Lots of homeless folks around. No hotel parking but done available on street or public lots Rooms have comfy beds but are small. Weird semi transparent panel between bath and bedroom so when lights get turned on in the bathroom the bedroom gets lit up. Electronic controls for everything. No real restaurant but there’s a breakfast place next door open until mid afternoon and a sushi place open in the evening. Many options in the area and grocery store a couple blocks away. Very slow elevators. Pleasant helpful staff. Pet friendly and lots of places to walk just outside the door.

The Hotel was awesome. He only complaint was the elevators. One broke down and limited to people or weight for luggage. Long line up after concert to get to the rooms. Took stairs.

Parking isn't always great but the rooms are nice and the staff is helpful. It's very clean. The only parking is public parking. Just be aware of that. And in an area that isn't too far away from where a lot of crime happens in the city.

This is a beautiful modern hotel with exceptionally well-designed rooms. The bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom was light and spacious. The lobby has a pool table and space to gather and work. My room overlooked the river, which was pretty, except for the incredible amount of spiders and webs in between the floor-to-ceiling double-paned glass (not in the room). So I kept the curtains closed and didn't enjoy the scenic cityscape the room would have otherwise afforded. Also, because of the river view side, there was an event below in the river park with a DJ that played dance music until about 9:30pm on a Saturday night. I would definitely stay here again, but would likely ask for a non-river view if I stay on a weekend.

The room was beautiful and the bed was super comfortable. Views are also breathtaking and the area close to all the best downtown has to offer. The noise from the hall was quite a bit and the shower layout was terrible. Also the shower sprayer was difficult to operate and water pressure was not great. I would stay again, but the beauty of the place outweighs its faults.

I absolutely loved the hotel. The design feels pretty modern and very intuitive. With all the lights, room service and curtains all managed on one board with touch keys. Another thing I loved about this hotel that I honestly haven't seen in other ones is it comes with Fast and free internet for up to 6 devices as well as chrome cast on TV to play my movies and shows from my phone on to TV rather than watching random channels. The blackout curtains were amazing as well giving full privacy and darkness when needed. Definitely would come back to this hotel again.

Its a hip smaller hotel right by the riverwalk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, nice decor with a Nespresso and the beds very comfortable. Only one flaw was the design of the bathroom. The wall to the sleeping area is glass so the light from the bathroom shines into sleeping area. But still highly recommend the hotel.

I booked Alt hotel for three nights. Upon arrival, the front desk staff who were checking us in, was rude and unwelcoming. There seemed to be discrimination involved because when she was checking a business white male, she was friendly and wished that guest a nice stay. However, with us, she didn't bother to make us feel welcome; she was rude and very short with us. Hotel hallways are very dark and there rooms extremely small, no mini fridges any of the rooms, and this hotel is not very clean especially the bathroom. Also it's a area where there are a lot of homeless people, drug addictions in the area. The worst stay.

As someone who stays in different hotels almost every week due to work, it's pretty difficult to find anything remarkable about most hotels these days. The Alt, however is definitely worthy of mention. The room was large and well planned/executed. The facilities were all clean, fresh and new and worked as you would hope/expect. The shower was spacious and included good quality toiletries. I particularly liked the fox image on the shower screen. The reception staff also deserve a special shout out. Extremely welcoming, helpful and courteous (with a cheeky sense of humour too). Our room maid was also very friendly and helpful (supplying us with specialty tea.... Hush hush say no more) Great location so close to the riverside walk and in the heart of the East village it's hard to fault it in any way.

A fabulous hotel with great staff. Mia on reception was an absolute star. She helped us find places to eat, things to see and also sorted out our jet lagged brains with the car park! Lovely local eateries and scenic walks are around the hotel. Will stay here again!

Hotel and service is great. The area immediately is good though if you want to walk downtown is a different story. The area on the way downtown is very sketchy and the homelessness and drug use is rampant. I would be cautious if you want to walk downtown

We've been to this hotel three times. Lovely location by the Bow river. In downtown Calgary with lots to do nearby. The hotel is really clean with friendly staff and some of the rooms have excellent views over the Bow river.

This hotel was great. The room was what we were expecting. The only negative was that there aren't fridges in the room (which I knew going into it) and there is only ice on two floors. The only downside to the location was you have to walk through a block or two of some questionable areas to get to the heart of downtown. My daughter and I did it numerous times and were fine, but worth mentioning. It was easy to access the hotel driving and quick to get in and out of the city.

This hotel is nice and modern, location is meh, its trying to be a upscale neighborhood but the biggest homeless shelter in the city is a block away so its hard to avoid the inevitable. Hotel could use a proper restaurant/bar, was very unimpressed with the breakfast option, a diner in the lobby that had no fresh fruits or juices as advertised and had the most bland eggs ive ever had, and i believe thats their specialty.

Excellent clean hotel with a Nespresso in the room (phew!) great water pressure in the shower, breakfast, lunch and dinner available and good lobby meeting spaces. Not a lot yet, but some dining nearby in this recently and still developing area, but make sure to see the stunning Calgary Public Library just a few minutes away. One of the most significant (comparatively) new builds in all of Canada.
