Hotel Gracery Osaka Namba

Small first floor, lobby is actually on second floor. There are only 2 elevators for 12 floors and they run quite slowly, especially during breakfast time(keep in mind when checking out) . The elevators are also really small and narrow. Would be able to only fit 2 guests with 2 large suitcases. They have self storage so we could leave our bags, but keep in mind everyone has access to this room it is not privately accessed by just staff. There are locks to lock bags in place and you are provided with that key. In the morning it was pretty empty but by 2pm (check in time) I could barely move my luggage from back of room to front as it was practically full. Room is very small, which is common in Japan, but makes it hard for two people to open suitcase or sort things out. Bathroom has a bathtub, the amenities offer bath salts which was nice. The bathroom floor had some stains on it, maybe from beauty products, the material of the floor likely makes it harder to clean. The bathroom is musty as there's no ventilation or fan, that I could see. There as a hair hanging from ceiling, minor cleaning error not a big deal as it could be easily missed. Otherwise the room was clean. The bed was a little hard but had cozy blankets. The TV does not have access to YouTube or other streaming channels and only a handful of Japanese networks. Check out was easy at the machines but the elevators were painful. Not far from Namba station (exit 7) easy walk to shopping and sites. More info on google

とても綺麗でよかったです。エレベーターも二つありチェックアウト時もあまり待つこともなかったです。ウォーターサーバー、製氷機完備。部屋にもミネラルウォーターもありました。大浴場はないけど、その分バスルームが広くて、子供と一緒にゆっくり入れました。駐車場は一階に7台程度のみ、宿泊者は24時間1800円で止められました。猛暑なので道頓堀までタクシー利用しましたが、季節がよければ歩けると思います。また利用します。

This place is terrible. The worst property I have been to in Japan. Check in was slow, for some reason we have to do the work to check in even though we don't work there. Having the guest do the labor is disturbingly common in Japan, not a fan and I avoid properties that insist on this role reversal. Only nice part was they allowed us to store a few bags in the lobby prior to checking in. The elevator is SLOW. Two elevators for 12 floors means tons of traffic. Room is tiny, even by Japan or Hong Kong standards. No walking room after we loaded our 4 rollerbags for our return flight. Bed was chiseled from granite. Daily housekeeping available. Location is decent - there is a subway exit right across the front the hotel (#32), but you're still a long way from Namba Station proper. Walking distance to Dontobori, which is nice and action packed all the way to the river. A few restaurants around the hotel itself, none were appealing to us. Zero (usable) amenities on property. Don't bother with breakfast, it's prison-cafeteria level. You can do way better at McDonald's for ¥1400. Don't bother with the laundry - only 2 very small, expensive machines that seemed to take hours to dry. Go up the street 100m to a vastly superior and less expensive 24hr laundromat. Guest does the employee's work at checkout too. Lovely. Best part of our stay was walking out the door for the last time ever. I'll never stay at a Gracery property again.

Nice hotel near train station, good size room with separate bath/toilet. Clean and quiet, the staff was exceptional in helping with all your needs! They will help store your luggage when you come in early before check-in time (secured room). About 8 minutes from Dotonbori. Highly recommended when staying in Osaka area!!!

The location of the Hotel is good as it’s close to a food street. However, when we checked in on the first day of our arrival, we were not able to park at the hotel and needed to look around for a carpark. And then on the second and the third day after we came back after golfing, we were not able to park the car at the hotel. It’s very disappointing.

Room was clean. AC was strong. English speaking staff that was very helpful with our luggage transfer and check in/out. One star loss for location to station and elevators. Walk is maybe 10 mins. But elevator and layout of hotel is not ideal. Two elevators, one very narrow and not ideal with luggage’s. Lobby is on the 2nd floor. Many times we had to wait for another elevator and/or it was very congested.

The check in is not efficient. First start with a staff, than go to a super slow machine. If you have a staff there why waste time with a machine? Elevator is also very slow.

Very nice hotel staff and amenities (toothbrush/comb/bathsalt/lotion/scrubber/towels/ microwave). Check-in and out is easy. Staff spoke Japanese/ Mandarin/ English. Onsite washer (300 yen for 30 minute washer/ 200 yen for 1 hour dryer). Breakfast with a fee. Across the street from Lawson and Namba subway entrance. Few blocks from Dotonburi.

The room was very clean, big, and comfortable! They also provide you different bins to dispose of trash and recyclables. The bathroom was huge and also very clean! Breakfast was really good with lots of options. The staff were always so kind and helpful! Very good location too! It’s within a 10 min walk to Dotonbori and there is also a train station right outside the hotel.

The room was very clean and it was really nice to have a shower room. The amenities were also really nice. I especially liked the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Staff were friendly and polite. There were many shops and food places nearby.

The hotel itself is dirty starting from the front desk to the room. The room are quite small and the carpet are dirty and the smell coming from the bathroom are bad. All you can smell when you go the bathroom is “Urine”. I would not recommend that hotel to any of my family or friends.

The staff and team all spoke great English and were extremely friendly. However, I cannot recommend this hotel as upon arrival late at night, our room smelled like cigarettes - including when we got into our bed our sheets smelled like smoke. We were too tired to change rooms immediately so we told the front desk and went to sleep. The next day we called them and they can only offer us a new room if we packed up our luggage again, brought it downstairs, and checked out at 11am and will be given a new room at 3pm which seemed ridiculous for something that was not our fault. We didn’t have time to check out (and frankly preferred not to) and stayed in the room since we were also only staying for two nights. They changed our pillows and sheets and it helped - which makes me question, why would a new room that should have just been made that day have pillow cases and duvet that smells like cigarettes? Were they not changed from a previous guest? As I said, the staff were extremely friendly and helped us ship our luggage, breakfast was decent, I never usually write bad reviews but this was a bit unacceptable.

I stayed at the property for 4 nights with my husband and 2 kids. Initially, when we arrived, we were only provided with two towels, two glasses, and two mugs. I asked reception for two more, but when the housekeepers cleaned the room the next day, they only left two towels again. After speaking to reception once more, they finally provided the correct number of towels. On the positive side, the location is great close to restaurants and public transport. The rooms are clean and well maintained, although I did find them a little dusty.

Staff was great. Personally did not like the location and hotel seemed to be outdated. There were fruit flies in our room for our whole stay and had no idea where they were coming from which made the room felt a bit dirty.

The cleanliness of the hotel is disappointing. The floor in the room is dirty, the carpet is covered with dust and hair, and the floor in the lobby is also dirty.

This is a great hotel for those looking to explore Osaka. It's close to the train system and walk able to Dontonbori and other attractions. The rooms are smaller but they are reasonably priced and well maintained.

Twin room is spacious. Bath room is big with bath tub. Breakfast is good though not many varieties.

飯店位置很好，3人房也夠大，可以放三個28吋行李箱，可以靠牆打開。唯一美中不足是安排的房間靠主幹道，窗戶應該不是氣密窗，如果怕吵的人可能會不好睡。服務人員非常nice, 英文也很好。飯店還有免費咖啡可以喝。提供泡澡粉，超讚。

We stayed for one night, a quick stop off before we flew home. We booked a cheap room for two people. You wouldn't have been able to swing a cat. There was no window. The bed was comfy enough. When we went to check out, the lifts were very busy, and we had to wait at least 3 times because the lift was full. There is no stairs either.

Everything was perfect & clean… The staff were the BEST with great hospitality, generous & very helpful. But the room was very small for us, 2 people.

Super convenient location. Staff are very helpful and can help place reservations for restaurants. Toothbrush, towels, and bathrobes are replaced daily. Rooms are cleaned and bedsheets changed every three days. Free water bottles offered daily. Great amenities and travel guides offered on 2nd floor.

Better price and room size options than Gracery in Tokyo. We had a very large bed and room compared to the four hotels we stayed in. Best staff servic we had during our long trip, three city four hotels stay. Loved the staff at hotel Gracery Osaka. Great service!

Staff was great especially Hwu who helped me coordinate the shipping of an item which I left at my previous hotel in Tokyo. I’m so grateful!

This is a great hotel for those looking to explore Osaka. It's close to the train system and walk able to Dontonbori and other attractions. The rooms are smaller but they are reasonably priced and well maintained.

Close to Namba

The room was normal-sized for a Japanese hotel but the bath area was very spacious. The location was excellent with a 5-10 minutes walk to Nankai Namba station to take the Nankai Rapid to and from KIX.

The property is very conveniently located near all the likely neighborhoods places for a tourist to visit. It is an excellent value. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. Water and ice were only on the check-in lobby floor. Luggage room was strictly self-service. Our only issue was that the property description indicated this was a 4-star hotel when it is really, at most, a 3-star hotel, thus unreasonably setting our expectations. Still, we'd stay there again.

交通便利，距離機場巴士總站很近。

There's a rental car company just underneath the hotel which was very convenient. And that's the reason why we choose to live here again. Walkable distance to the busy area and restaurants. And it was very near to the namba station.

Beautiful hotel, very helpful staff and the breakfast buffet is delicious and has a lot of choices. It’s also in a central location in Namba Osaka and nearby the subway station.

Breakfast was not great, felt musky and dirty.

Conveniently located near train stations and plenty of shopping and dining options. Rooms are small and a bit dated but they make up for it with excellent customer service, useful amenities and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend!

Lobby on the second flooor is the only inconvenience. Otherwise its a good hotel and location. When you book, it may day include breakfast but it does not include kids

Location of hotel is-so convenient to Dotonbori n train stations. Walk across the road to convenience store. Japanese buffet breakfast was amazing n they even provide face mask n bath salt. I read date wrongly n missed Sakura competition for chopstick set. We stayed for 4 nights but wasn’t ask to join Gracery Club as our next hotel in Tokyo is also part of Gracery group. Checkout is easy-machine. When we are next back in Japan we will consider Gracery
