Room was infested with roaches. I was by myself to be there and do some painting on my son’s house so I was not very particular about the room I stayed in but this hotel is very run down to be a national chain. The room smelled of cigarettes. Garbage cans overflowing outside. Pool half full and water was green.

It seems like mgmt is trying... but they have a long battle ahead of them. We arrived late - typical flying West-to-East - the front desk girl was friendly and quick to get on our way, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, that would be the highlight of the stay. The room key would not open the door. Multiple attempts to recode with no success. Multiple staff couldn't resolve. Maintenance finally came and had to open a panel in the window to manually open the door. By now it's past midnight and we just wanted to get settled in. That wouldn't happen because 1) the room reeked of a chemical solvent, probably the cleaning solution (appreciate the attempt to clean but the smell was over powering). 2) we couldn't get any extra towels or pillows. The front desk doesn't have a key to laundry and that staff doesn't come in until 9am... and 3) the room just wasn't clean... the floor had a sticky residue, the shower curtain had what looked like someone else's boogers on it, and we found bugs (possibly roaches). Finally got towels in the AM and noted all the issues, including missing light bulbs. He promised it would be resolved. When we returned some if it was... but still no bulbs, the extra towels were gone, and front desk still had no key to get more. And the lock kind of worked but you really had to try multiple times. Red Roof Inn is not the height of luxury, I get it... but this just didn't even meet standards of decency...

The bed was made up, and looked fine but when I pulled back the covers it was extremely obvious that someone had leaked bodily fluids recently and the sheets had not been changed. The spots were not even dry. The floor was also dirty.

We stayed here a week and there were cockroahes everywhere. We did have anyone come in to give us fresh towels or clean the room at all the entire time we were there. The floors were dirty like they didn't sweep or mop before we got there at all. Overall, it was a horrible experience. I asked for a refund two days before because of how bad the room and room service was. They said they dont don't do refunds and we ened up leaving two days early and paying for the last two days as well.

Was given a room, the bed had greasy pillows, hair all over the blankets, the ceiling had paint peeling off, the fridge had another persons trash in it. We told front desk and the as given a second room. When the workers went to go clean it, they were complaining very loudly the whole time. The second room microwave was covered in burnt food. We just ended our trip that same day.

The place is old, pillows stained, there was blood smeared on bathroom door frame and found roaches. No room service until you leave the hotel. For 6 night stay, only two towels were provided, we had to ask for more. Had to buy toilet paper as there was only one roll and it was almost done. I had to book quick so I had no time to look into reviews. I will never stay here again. Front reception was fine.

I spend 4 nights and 5 days on that room and nobody went to clean the room, change the towels, the trash, nothing, I’ve asked towels two times on different days and the ladies of the housekeeping were very rude and didn’t gave me anything. Bed bugs everywhere. When we check in at the first day the towels and blankets on the room were dirty and looks like nobody changed it. The worst experience in hotels.

Worst day ever pull down the sheets and a roach crawled across the bed. Thought it might be just went to pick up the TV remote and two were on the counter. Going to get a refund. Do not stay here.

Initially, I had higher expectations upon checking in and finding my room pleasingly clean. But unfortunately it ended there. Absolutly NO room cleaning even after requesting daily cleaning. We stayed a total of 5 miserable nights.NO clean towels and even after requiring a visit to the office, I had to beg for towels. Each request they came up with another misc. rule not written anywhere or on any posted paper for why they couldn't provide towels, toilet paper, or a hair dryer. On top of which bathroom safety was a big problem. No grab bars in the shower with extremely slippery floor and tub surfaces. Without extra towels to use on the floor it was very difficult to get in and out of the tub/shower and its a miracale didn't hurt myself. The mattress was soooo horrible and uncomfortable to sleep on withthe springs coming through, that the floor would have been better. The last night was the absolute worst. We had barely any sleep due to the late night check in neighbors. They proceeded to screem, bang walls and doors even after I went politely and asked for them to tone it down. After several hours of this and it was well past 1:30 am, I tried multiple times to call the office, but no one answered the phone. I thought to then drive around to the office or even call 911 but was fearful that they may retaliate on my vehicle or me & my young granddaughter. So we struggled through the balance of the night with 3 hoursof sleep.

the reason for the two stars was that the fitted sheet did not stay on the bed. Also the mini fridge was leaking onto the floor. Bed did not have top cover. However it was cheap for the price it's probably about as good as it gets, and better than most.

We found living roaches in the bathrooms of both rooms we were in. The floors look 1/2 cleaned. The first room smelled like straight up smoke. The 2nd room had cracked window, door wouldn’t close correctly with the extra lock, could hear weird noises from other room, 1st room the sheets were nasty, no pillow cases, no remote. Horrible experience I will never stay there or recommend anyone else to stay there.

Desmond greeted me with a smile and cheerful attitude. When the smoke alarm started shrieking shortly after I got in my room (I don't smoke) Bonita was quick to get a maintenance man to my room to change the battery. On the negative side, the refrigerator not only wasn't very cool, but there was a live baby cockroach inside. I also found an adult roach in the bathroom which I quickly dispatched. Also, the exterior light between my room and 114 was out. Oddly, the TV was on when I entered the room and the tub was wet. The A/C was off, but it didn't take long to cool off.

Worst hotel by far I’ve ever experienced. 2 pillows, 1towel for the room. Toilet seat was broken, tp rack was broken and sitting on the toilet tank. Maintenance hauled out a fridge and oven around midnight from the 2nd floor and dumped them over the landing onto the ground.

Ghetto, no 24 hour front desk, if you decide to show up after they decide to close, good luck explaining to Expedia why you couldn't get your room they booked for you. Left cell numbers on the front door for "key service" which are personal cells seemingly full time residents of the hotel. Avoid like the plague.

Booked a room but upon arrival, the manager told me there were no available rooms. Was on the phone with Expedia customer service for over 25 minutes to get a refund. They then told me it would be another 72 hours until their department would decide if i get a refund or not.

There were 2 car accidents on my way delaying my arrival, unbeknownst to me I didn't know that you couldn't check in past midnight as nothing was stated on the website, so despite arriving 7 mind past 12 and calling the number on the door I had to stay the night in my car.

Arrived in the lobby, identified myself and the desk attendant immediately informed that they did not have an accessible room or one with 2 beds on the first floor. Preceded to tell us that she could give us a King bed. I asked how that would work for 3 people, she shrugged. My father asked if they had a bed or couch they could put in the room and she "I have nothing for you" I asked why we were not notified since the room was available when we booked it and she said someone paid to stay over. Again I asked why we were not notified and she shrugged. I told her I was not going to pay for somewhere that wasn't going to fulfill our reservation. She said that was between me and "my 3rd party booking". When I tried to cancel or alter the booking it only offered me to contact the property. So when I went on the Hotels.com app the only choice was to call the property. I told her that and she said could not do anything with changing the reservation but if they contacted them they would tell them no fee was due. Told her I wanted to make sure I would not charged since I would have to book another room so that my parents could be at their 8am appointment. She said contact Expedia????? So I opened the app and pressed the "Contact on the property button" and sat in the lobby as she answered the phone "Red Roof Inn Temple". To which I responded: "Yep, still me and I need to cancel my reservation." Her response was to half laugh and look around the counter "Oh, Hahaha"

Not due to the nice lady trying but i never got in my room and i didn't stay there. The property looks run down and nothing like the pictures on the internet. The office was nice and clean but the environment was scary.

Lots of arguments outside the rooms, had water bugs/ roaches in the rooms. Hand prints outside my window and on my car window. Looks like people were trying to look in. Just didn’t feel safe at all and the cleanliness was lacking big time.

We were not able to check in early. When we got in the room the refridgerator had food in it from the previous guests. We had to have a person come in to clean the room. the bathroom had toilet paper on the floor, no toilet paper on a roll. the toilet paper holder was missing. we paid a primium for our stay because of the eclipse, $120. to $300. per night. there was no maid service. The manager told us he did not trust his staff to be in the room when the guest was not present. With a four day stay there was never any fresh towles. There was no laundry room which was advertized, and no included breakfast which was advertized. The worst was the bugs, during the first night roaches started coming out into the bathroom and the main room area. the next morning we went to a hardware store and bought roach killer that we used every morning as we left. If it would have been posible we would have changed hotels, Because of the eclipse there was nothing available. The morning of check out a bug ran across my candy bar.
