Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable and very roomy. Very dog friendly and good selection of beer and Cider at the bar. We booked in for an evening meal and food was great and place was busy with a good atmosphere. Breakfast was wonderful too. Loved our first visit to West Bay and will be back! Just a short distance to the beach from the hotel and plenty to do and see!

We stayed for one night. Room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Some nice touches like local toiletries, a family board game and a coffee machine. Staff were really helpful. Lots of lovely choices for breakfast. Everything was cooked beautifully and excellent quality ingredients used.

Old pub, room nicely decorated and huge. Very quiet as pub part closed for the winter. Parking convenient and safe. Only one minute to the East beach and close to local restaurants. Breakfast was a bit basic, although full range on offer, no toast offered with omelette, although brought when asked for.

A nice hotel in a great location right on the beach with good parking in a safe area. Nice friendly staff with a chatty and pleasant chef. Dog friendly. The breakfast was excellent served by a super helpful young guy who did all he could to make our breakfast great. We really liked it. For a south coast beach hotel, this one ticks all the boxes.

We had a fabulous night's stay at the West Bay Hotel. We stayed in their suite which could accommodate 3 of us, a wonderful room looking over the beach. Breakfast the next morning was really wonderful, as was dinner the night before. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and next time will bring our dog. Thanks for looking after us do well!

Had a wonderful time at the hotel the owners made us feel as if we were at home. Staff were excellent throughout the 4 days we spent there . We ate fantastic breakfast at the hotel each morning and was lovely and tasty we ate in the hotel restaurant twice for evening meal which was delicious and large portions. The bed was extremely comfortable and was the best part of the room. The amenities were nice and the room was as depicted in the photos. The welcome was pleasant but cooled somewhat once they realised we’d booked through Hotels.com. We were told we wouldn’t get breakfast because of it. That’s fine but perhaps phrase it as “so that’s room only tonight” instead. Noise carries throughout. Whilst we couldn’t hear the noise directly from the pub, we could hear the conversation of people on our floor and the floors creaking throughout the night when people moved around. It wasn’t too bad but the discomfort caused would be subject to the behaviours of your fellow guests when you stay. The most disappointing aspect was the bathroom. Looks fine but function was poor. The shower was lukewarm, the toilet was fickle and required extra attention and the tap over the vanity was too short resulting in water over the bench top instead of on your hands, etc. Overall, the stay was satisfactory for the one night because the bed was so good.

We had a wonderful stay. The facilitys at the west bay hotel are great the room included a coffee machaine , kettle , clean towels and dressing gowns. The shower was powerful and big. It was clean , family friendly and breakfast was top quailty with lots of options. Me and my family will be staying again in the future. Thankyou for providing quailty service!

Spent one lovely night at this beautiful hotel. We stayed in the very beautifully appointed family room overlooking the beach. Also had a lovely and delicious dinner and perfect breakfast in the downstairs pub. Clean and located in a really lovely little town on the marina. Cannot say enough good things about it. We wanted to stay longer!!

Had a brilliant stay at The West Bay hotel. All the staff we very friendly and welcome. We had our lab with us and loved meeting their dog Elwood. The room was perfect & huge! Better than the photos showed. Top quality features and fittings and made for a perfect Birthday trip. Highly recommend and miles above the other hotels in West Bay.

My husband and I have just stayed here for one night. The room was beautifully decorated, had a comfy bed and pillows and nice attention to detail. We had evening meal and breakfast and the food is stunning. Staff were efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Old pub, room nicely decorated and huge. Very quiet as pub part closed for the winter. Parking convenient and safe. Only one minute to the East beach and close to local restaurants. Breakfast was a bit basic, although full range on offer, no toast offered with omelette, although brought when asked for.

We had a lovely long weekend stay. Ensuite room was lush with everything you need. Breakfasts were great and the staff super friendly and helpful. The hotel is right on the beach and great for exploring the area and Chesil beach.

Spent one lovely night at this beautiful hotel. We stayed in the very beautifully appointed family room overlooking the beach. Also had a lovely and delicious dinner and perfect breakfast in the downstairs pub. Clean and located in a really lovely little town on the marina. Cannot say enough good things about it. We wanted to stay longer!!

This Hotel has been recently renovated to a high standard. The room was was perfect for us, and the breakfast was with some great quality produce (bacon especially)! Staff were really nice and helpful too. Just there when you need them. No fuss. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have just stayed here for one night. The room was beautifully decorated, had a comfy bed and pillows and nice attention to detail. We had evening meal and breakfast and the food is stunning. Staff were efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Just a one night stopover but we were made very welcome and the beds (large double and sofa bed) were extremely comfortable. Free parking right opposite. A fab Full English breakfast, we didn’t need any lunch later. Would like to have returned but they were fully booked on our required date. Thoroughly recommend.

As a family of 3 adults and an 18 month old, looking for an overnight stay in West Bay or Bridport town, The West Bay Hotel popped up, we had previously visited the friendly bar, so we had no qualms to book, we have not been disappointed it was a spacious, clean room, friendly efficient staff and the best breakfast ever! Very nice hotel located well not far from all the goings on at West Bay. Good size room and a comfortable night sleep, breakfast lacked full breakfast option, instead opting for field breakfast but was let down by overcooked poached eggs.
