This was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were attentive and endlessly helpful. The design, magnificent. The restaurant, fabulous. Great breakfast, amazing dinner. The rooms are stunning, comfortable and equipped with everything you can possibly need. Even loofa pads in the bathroom. The only thing to be aware of is that you cannot drive up to the hotel. Google maps is no help. But there is a taxi stand just around the corner. the location is wonderful, walking distance to almost all of the wonders that Krakow has to offer.

Fabulously designed Boutique hotel, located close to the Market Square. The Reception staff were enormously helpful and pleasant, although when requesting trip booking assistance as offered upon check in, we were advised there was no availability so we went to the local tourist kiosk where there was plenty of choice for the duration of our stay. There are no communal spaces or a bar for a drink, so use of the hotel is restricted to your room only. We didn't have breakfast as the menu seemed somewhat limited and didn't use the restaurant as there were so many options to eat fabulous local food much cheaper. We were disappointed to be advised that the hotel didn't (wouldn't) honour the Expedia VIP Benefits e.g. an Upgraded room and late check out, but were offered wine which isn't quite the same.

Perfectly situated next to the Castle/near the Vistula River and equidistant between the main square (market place) and the ICE convention center. Lots of churches, shops, restaurants on the walk through old town to the main square. Fiorentina restaurant at this hotel is excellent as well.

It’s a superb boutique hotel . It’s a shame there’s no bar , on site spa or common areas to use but that doesn’t detract from the beauty and location . Would stay there again in a heartbeat

Hotel Balthazar is located in a very good location. The hotel is richly designed and beautiful. The 5 star rating of the hotel is however questionable because they lacked alot of 5 star ticks such as no room service after 10pm, 1 lift, no 24 hr porter, etc. The bathroom toiletries were nolton brown which were great. Our room was on the 3rd floor which didnt give us any view outside as the windows are positioned very high. The room was also quite small.

Hotellet ligger i gamlebyen - ca. 10 min. gange fra oppgitt parkering - og eier har klart det mesterstykke å legge ut en link som Google Maps ikke finner. Etter to oppringninger til resepsjonen var det begrenset med hjelp å få. Noe mer amatørmessig skal man lete lenge etter. Vi brukte to timer på å finne p-plassen, som ikke er den nærmeste fra hotellet, som er kraftig oppskrytt - styr unna!

There was no parking nearby and no one to help us with the bags. We were told to park at least a kilometre from the hotel then waited for over 40 minutes for a taxi to take us and our bags to the hotel.

A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location right next to Wawel Castle and only a 5 minute walk to the main square, just follow the road the hotel is on! The room was lovely, with a large comfortable bed. The hotel has a fantastic (fine dining) restaurant but unfortunately does not have a bar area for guests to relax and enjoy a drink without sitting in the formal dining area. Highly recommended considering this luxury hotel if visiting Krakow.

We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and a beautiful aroma that filled the reception area. If set the scene for what was a brilliant hotel. Lovely decor everywhere that was different and individual. Spotlessly clean and great choices for breakfast.

Our room was lovely but unfortunately was to back of hotel so no view and other ac units running meant we couldn’t sleep with windows open. The hotel is in an excellent position walkable to bars, restaurants and historic buildings. Very clean and comfortable room

Beautiful hotel. We were in the attic room which even though we were not tall, when getting out of bed the ceiling is low so got a few bumps on the head. More storage space, drawers or tables would be useful and a light in the wardrobe to assist with finding items in the shelving areas. No Netflix on TV as advertised, IPAD provided buffered. Lovely staff and very near to market square.

This is a stunning hotel in a perfect location. Travelled with my adult son and was surprised with huge room with two separate sleeping areas and - best of all! - two bathrooms. Lots of nice touches - welcome liqueur and biscuits, daily replenished water and coffee, complimentary bottle of wine. Loved this and would definitely return.

The hotel was in a fantastic area (right in old town) and the service was great. If you are traveling solo and book a single room buyer be ware that your room may be right next to the elevator...and when I say right next to the elevator I mean right next to!! It was very noisy! Don't do it. Also if you open your window and are staying in 201 smoke will waft in the courtyard. Bring your ear plugs!

We had an excellent stay. The hotel is very well located in the old town. We had the breakfast, which was very good (both in quality and variety). The staff was very helpful and professional. Room and bed were comfortable. We would go back there when visiting Krakow again.

Superb hotel. Hotel staff initiated helpful email communication once booked which was useful for booking airport transfers. They also promptly responded to my queries about booking excursions. Their driver Kasper, met me at the airport and was warm and welcoming, as were reception staff on my arrival. The service was amazing e.g., hotel staff helped me to work out how best to get to Auschwitz via public transport. The hotel itself is beautiful and my room was gorgeous, with a lovely welcoming drink and biscuits. Lovely traditional stories/ myths left on the table each morning to learn more about Krakov and attention to detail like weather forecast cards every morning too. The hotel is located conveniently near to the old town and is also close to Kazimierz. Everything was stress free including arranging a driver to pick me up from the hotel at 5am to get me to the airport for a 7:20am flight. I would recommend booking to dine at their restaurant Fiorentina, as the food and service was amazing too. Can’t recommend enough, if visit Krakov again in the future, I will definitely stay here. Thank you all.

The staff at Balthazar were exceptional. We arrived late in the evening and were exhausted. From bags to drinks, the staff were so kind. They are knowledgeable about the city, helped with reservations and transportation. The room was clean and cozy. Truly the staff that made a difference though, can’t say enough about them.

Just back from a fantastic 3 day trip to Krakow. Stayed at the Balthazar Design hotel. Excellent establishment, spotlessly clean, very central to Old Quarter and Jewish Quarter. Staff were exceptionall, welcoming, friendly, helpful to the point that nothing was too much for them. They organised our airport transport both ways, takeaway breakfasts when we had early morning excursions booked and all with a smile. Would highly recommend this hotel and would be my first choice if I visited Krakow again.

Nice, clean hotel with good service. Great location near Wawel Castle and the Jewish Quarter, in the pedestrian area of Old Town but just a few steps from the road where taxis and Ubers can pick you up or drop you off. Breakfast was good, but on the expensive side. Overall a great choice.

Wonderful little hotel that's located in the perfect spot between the Old Town and Kazimierz. Wawel Castle is literally around the corner at the end of the block. The room was a little small, but it's what I would expect from a boutique hotel in a very old part of town in a European city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everywhere we wanted to go during out 4 days in Krakow was within a few minutes walk in either direction. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but we did have 1 dinner on our first night at the hotel's restaurant--wonderful and an incredible value coming from the US.

The hotel and room was absolutely stunning. The service was perfection and everyone who worked there was helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a Michelin star and was delicious for both dinner and breakfast (which you order from the menu).We truly did not want to leave!

Wow, what can I say! This has to be the most beautiful and elegant boutique hotel I have ever stayed at. On entering, the foyer is small but beautifully decorated and the staff make you feel very welcome. Check in was quick and efficient and we were shown to our room by a kind gentleman. The room, a superior double, was stunning. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. The room looked onto the street and it was wonderful to hear the horse and carriage trotting by every so often. The bathroom had all the amenities you would need. The bottle of wine and amaretto was a lovely touch. The breakfast is out of this world! We ate numerous times at the renowned Fiorentina restaurant which is part of the hotel. The food and service were impeccable. Krakow is a beautiful city and Balthazar hotel was just the best place to stay to enjoy everything krakow has to offer. We had a very early return flight and we were given a wonderful breakfast box away with us which was delicious. Thank you so much Balthazar hotel for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back next year. Don’t hesitate to book this!
