This place had the best continental breakfast I’ve experienced. Everything else about the stay was good to excellent with one exception: with one elevator out of order, wait time in the morning to get to the lobby can be over 10 minutes.

We had a good overall stay at the Residence Inn in Calgary’s Beltline District. The location is central and made it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The hotel let us check in early—at 2pm instead of the standard 4pm—which was much appreciated after a long morning of travel. The suite itself was spacious, clean, and recently updated. Housekeeping did a great job, and check-in service was smooth and friendly. The on-site bar and restaurant was convenient with a relaxed atmosphere. One unexpected perk was the free computer service in the business center, which came in handy when my wife needed to finish a homework assignment. The breakfast buffet was another highlight—plenty of fresh options and well-stocked. That said, it would be better if it stayed open past 10am, especially on weekends. There were a few downsides to note. While the location is central, the surrounding area had some issues. We saw several people openly using hard drugs in the adjacent park and nearby sidewalks. It made walking around feel uncomfortable at times, especially later in the day. Also, the rooms don’t include any complimentary bottled water, which felt like a small miss for a hotel of this level. Very nice apartment. Appreciated the bathrobes provided. A few housekeeping issues: dining table wasn't clean and no face cloths. Front desk staff was great. Changed my room from the 33rd to the 16th at my request. The breakfast buffet is amazing!! The Happy Hour menu is also very good and budget-friendly. The outdoor deck and patio is huge and offers lots of seating.

Nice property with large, well equipped rooms. Safe and clean underground parking that accommodates all but the largest vehicles. Walkable to both downtown (8th Ave) and Beltline (11th - 17th ave) attractions and restaurants. Great breakfast buffet.

Otherwise very nice hotel, but the wait times for the elevators are insane. Waited 20 mins before deciding to walk down from the 18th floor. Extra doesn't help that the staircases don't lead to every floor so you have to weave between them. Breakfast buffet is pretty good. I imagine it must have been a particularly busy time because the staff seemed annoyed to say the least

I really like this hotel and love the beautiful get breakfast. I’ve stayed twice now in last few months. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and courteous. My only issue unfortunately is the last time we stayed. I had to ask to have the floor cleaned around the toilet.. I had noticed last time as well that the floors which are vinyl are not clean regularly. This is disappointing for such nice hotel and we would prefer to stay up, but I don’t think we’ll be back.. When I told the front desk, they did have the floor cleaned on the toilet immediately and apologize profusely put the rest of the floor remain dirty, unfortunately

We checked into our room on august 9th around 6pm and checked out on august 10th around 10pm. No one ever came to clean our room. There was still garbage in our garbage cans, we had no garbage bags, the bathroom wasn't clean, the floors weren't cleaned nor the counters. For such a beautiful hotel I can't believe they don't clean their rooms. I will not be coming back.

Really good size room with lots of space and lots of windows. Loved the corner unit. Has everything you need to cook your own meals which is a plus as well. Super clean and comfy. Sound machine in the room is a nice touch as well.

Room was very noisy. From train and traffic. Not happy. Mattress was awful. Too soft and sank in the middle so we were shifted and it was uncomfortable. The bathroom wall paper looked like it was in the middle of a Reno with patches and white cover up smeared all over. This was supposed to be relaxing from our busy lives and we barely slept and we’re sore in the am.

Staff didn’t recognize hotel member status and didn’t honor or offer any benefits. Biggest complaint is the comfort of the bed. We stayed in a king bed studio with a pull out sofa and the bed was so soft that we couldn’t sleep well. If one person moved, the whole bed moved.

Hotel not motorcycle friendly, rude bellman...our brief dialogue "you cant park here", but im checking. "This is valet parking only" "But I'm checking in" Then hurry up" There was no cars there, he would not even give me a hand with the luggage or cart. Then...took 30 minutes to figure out the parking arrangement, and wifi. Real bad start...room was spacious and good though

Great location, love the layout of the rooms, great space to just relax and have space. Tons of amenities within the room. Area is highly walkable but also easy to get transit. Cafe has good food tried the brisket sandwich and carrot soup. Love that there are lots of other options walking distance. Orchard is just next door and beautiful.

convenient location in Calgary downtown, 8 min walk to one of the busiest areas; the Core and Stephen Ave walk. 1-2 min walk away from Orchard great cocktails, are-Grub the best burgers we’ve had and Milano cafe for the best coffee.

we were very dissatisfied with the amount of drug addicts and homeless that were in the area. You could not walk anywhere without running into them. They were right outside the hotel often across the street and wherever you walked. They were drinking rooting through garbage taking their clothes off smoking crack, and the fentanyl users were hunched over sleeping. It’s a chronic issue that the hotel says they try to soft talk these people so as not to have retaliation. Unfortunately, it seems to be accepted around restaurants, coffee, shops, and the hotel For that reason we would never stay there again. it was very disappointing. The plus is for the hotel was that it was clean. The other issue was Wi-Fi. It often was not strong enough or you had to repetitively sign in. The hotel Had a great buffet breakfast valet parking and the rooms were kept very well.

The aesthetics of the lobby is contemporary which I liked every much. However, the room that I was assigned [3205] to was average. The flow of water was too wide in respect of the shower, making it super annoying to enjoy a nice hot shower. The bed was also very uncomfortable, it was not firm and I felt like my back was sunk in no matter the side I lay and I struggled to sleep every night of my stay. The buffet breakfast was average at best. There was very limited fresh fruit, the chicken sausage was stiff and bland, the eggs was also bland, there weren't any pancakes but a waffle station where you are required to make your own waffles. The hash browns were like potato wedges, so confusing. Overall, it was definitely the most disappointing buffet breakfast. The food at the bar however was delicious and the Stable Cafe is a nice spot to enjoy a quiet moment. The fitness centre surprised me. It was more than I imagined. There is ample equipment to get a good strength training session. It has a leg press, cable machine to work upper body, free weights and a bench press apart from the usual cardio focused machines.

Honestly worth staying here just for the breakfast! There are tons of options for all dietary needs, including gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. The room itself was perfect and very quiet for being in the city. The restaurant attached also had great apps and drinks to enjoy on the patio!

It was a pleasant stay. Great location. Walkable shopping and dining options. The King studio room was spacious. Enjoyed the separate comfortable sitting area including a dining table. Having a full kitchen was handy. The fridge and microwave especially. Things that could be improved upon: 1) the floors in our room were dirty. They need more than a sweep it appears. They need a mopping. Dirt and grime clings to the material that the floor is made of. Our bare feet got filthy. 2) The fitted sheet didn’t adequately fit our King bed. It kept popping off which was annoying during sleep. 3) The TVs don’t offer the ability to cast streaming services from a personal device. Seems odd for a new hotel. The tv or hotel internet even prevented us from hooking up our firestick to it. 4) The breakfast hours aren’t long enough. We are on vacation. The last thing we wanted was an early morning. Ending it at 10am on weekends (and earlier on weekdays) is premature in my view. In the end we opted not to go for breakfast, rather, enjoy the ability to sleep-in during our vacation and gradually start our day. The breakfast hours should be extended.

We only stayed one night but it was good. Valet was awesome. Front desk was polite and helpful. Breakfast was included but it was so busy at the buffet that you could barely find a seat and huge lineups. That was disappointing. They need to set up the buffet in a better way to allow for the flow of large groups of people. We would stay again but likely go out for breakfast.
