This is legit JUST a place to stay. They are renovating. So you can’t enter through the front entrance. You have to check in through the side door. The front (guess I should say side) desk attendant said they thought the renovations would be done by now but it probably won’t be until October/maybe November now. Restaurant and pool was closed. The room is solid. There are no room number signs on the door. Just post it notes with door number. The bottom lock didn’t work because it wasn’t aligned with the lock hole. The door gets stuck when opening/closing. So make sure you force it closed. The shower is really nice and the bathroom mirror looks great. The bathroom vent was filthy though. Think the maid overlooks it every time or something. The Wi-Fi didn’t work. Went downstairs to the attendant because there’s no phone in the room, and the front desk phone wasn’t working because of the WiFi. They said they don’t know why it’s not working. Probably something due to the construction. “But there’s always something wrong around here.” That wasn’t very reassuring to hear. Continental breakfast was offered on the second floor, but the waffle iron didn’t work. Bed was comfortable….. Overall, I definitely don’t feel like this is a 3-star hotel at the moment and that needs to updated to reflect as such. I do not feel that I got what I paid for and would not recommend this hotel for future stays.

This hotel is under construction with limited amenities advertised being provided. The cleaning staff were great, but little can be done with features not being well mounted or missing. Pool, gym, recreation room are not available. Elevators have graffiti in every wall, parking lot has construction material in different areas. Rooms were clean and had the basics with the exception of internet or phone.

No Breakfast, Staff said they could not find the key to unlock the breakfast room. first floor fire alarms were wrapped in plastic, because of construction. Only 1 elevator was in use. On a positive, the renovated room layout and furnishings were nice.

The hotel was comfortable, the room was beautifully redone, bathroom was very nice, furnishing were all new and good quality. The room was great. It’s a dog friendly hotel which worked out well for us, plenty of area to walk your dog. There is major renovation happening at the hotel, seems like it’s been under renovation for years with not much progress. The lobby, what should be a bar/restaurant, just all torn up. Only 1 elevator is working, so if you are on an upper floor be prepared to wait. The breakfast was very good, selection of hot and cold items. Overall, pleased, will stay there again.

It was not mentioned during reservation that hotel is Under renovation, poor customer service, dirty pool, room numbers are with sticky notes on the door, nothing like pictures… total disappointment

Breakfast wasn't bad, staff was friendly at check in. Renovations haf all of the amenities closed. Don't plan on utilizing anything like the pool, restaurant, or game room. Sketchy people in make shift lobby overnight.

First off, on the Expedia website this property was not listed as under renovation. The bar and restaurant were closed which was my major want. The whole hotel smelled like weed in every floor. We came in late after a baseball tournament and people were smoking weed in the lobby with no care who saw them. Meanwhile the front desk person was hanging out with them. I had to walk my son through a cloud of weed smoke. Although the room was supposedly remodeled recently, wallpaper was already peeling off the bathroom wall and the shower drain barely drained. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Wyndham and La Quinta should offer full refunds for this nasty hotel.

Booked and had a 3pm check in but waited almost an hour and was told later that my check in was supposed to be at 4 when confirmation showed 3pm. They then had my card in hand but attempted a different card more than a dozen times with charges at 2x what the room cost was. Once that was resolved I got two different knocks on the door to see if someone was in the room by different people. The reason I booked here was for the pool and hot tub which were not available. When I reached out to windham they made it sound like these were my issues and not issues of the hotel. Will never stay here again. Should mention all people checking in had these same issues.

If you have any other alternatives, take one. This hotel is undergoing renovation (and from what I’ve read, it’s been ongoing for a couple of years). Our room was one that had an “updated” bathroom, but it was shoddily done - paint splatters all over the floor. The rest of the room (and hotel) seemed stuck in the 90s and smelled funny. The pool and weight room were closed. The bar/restaurant was closed (except for breakfast). The “game room” had wires and cables hanging down from the ceiling with notices to parents to watch their children because of it. When I booked the room, I only read a couple of the low star reviews - saw that they were complaining at the lack of an exercise room and pool, but since we were only there for a night on our way back home, I figured it didn’t matter; we didn’t need a weight room or a pool. It’s a La Quinta, after all, and I’ve always had good experiences with this chain. I’m frankly shocked that they’re allowed to keep the name. I left a pair of shoes behind (a favorite pair) and when I called the next day to see if I could send a friend to get them, they claimed not to have found them. Actually, I called the next day, but the housekeeping staff had already gone home, so I had to call again the day after that (which leads me to wonder why there isn’t a centralized list and found that is accessible to the front desk folks). It was the *only* place they could be since I’d worn them there, but wore a different pair home. Won’t be back.

Our first room was dirty and had to get another and had to wait 25 minutes to get our room and then another25 minutes to get the new room! I understand the remodel but to walk in a dirty room was disappointing…

Friendly staff. Hotel is under major renovations. Room was mostly clean. I’m sure when renovations are done and the hotel is properly staffed things will improve. Hallways stunk of weed. Guests were noisy. Saw one spraying room spray into the hall because clearly partying and smoking in there. Garbage in hallway. Piles of garbage and dirty bedding in hall.

The property could use quite a bit of TLC, though the staff was very friendly. Breakfast options were limited, and unfortunately, I saw a roach in the breakfast area.

The room was dirty and in poor condition. Not like advertised. Dead bugs dirty sheets. Pool was closed the weekend we were there. The whole place was being Renovated it was a construction zone. Stayed on the 4th floor and the whole floor smelled of weed. Kids running up and down the hallway all night. Right by the stairwell so every time someone took the stairs the door slammed and was woken up all night. The parking lot had a huge hole while being poorly lit so my car went right in it and it messed up the front of my car.

Filthy hallways, elevators and floors. Rude staff at check-in. No shuttle as advertised. No restaurant as advertised on sign. Free breakfast was stale bagels and expired yogurts set up in an emptied out room on the 2nd floor.

Not so good. Spotty hot water. Poor security. Anybody could walk in without a key. Room numbers on post it notes. Breakfast not complete during time indicated. No phone or clock in room. Pot holes in driveway leading to parking lot. Graffiti in elevator.

They have ants all over the places, including the bed, and the night stand table.

Where should I start first. Upon receiving our room keys and entering the room we found that the room was never cleaned. Beds were a mess and there was trash in the trash cans. There are no phones to call down to the front desk, so I hauled all of our luggage and the children back down to the front desk at 9 PM at night to try and get another room. We were assigned another room. Room smelled like it had not had any fresh air in 10 years. Could not crack a window to let any fresh air in. There's no enforcement for quiet hours after 10 PM. Heard people laughing and carrying on and talking loudly in the hallway, and slamming their room doors throughout the night. Breakfast is borderline tolerable. Skeeves you out when there's tons of construction going on all over the place and then you have to eat food around this. Who knows how safe it is when you're walking around when the ceilings are exposed and wiring is hanging out. Who knows what other dust we are breathing or getting in our food with all this construction going on. Had to travel down 3 floors to get ice, and then who knows if dust is getting in these ice machines where there is construction going on right on the other side of plastic barriers. Carpet, walls, ceiling in hallways all worn and beat up.

Under Construction inside and out, Nothing like the pictures. Roaches, Noisy, and Vagrant parking lot. Never told this was under construction by anyone!! Expedia you need to do better

We were not able to locate the entrance and had to ask some men hanging out in the vicinity. I didn't like the outside designated parking area. It was dark and scary. The room was clean and beautifully done.

The hotel was comfortable, the room was beautifully redone, bathroom was very nice, furnishing were all new and good quality. The room was great. It’s a dog friendly hotel which worked out well for us, plenty of area to walk your dog. The property is dated, looks and smells dirty. The hallways on the fifth floor where I stayed were not vacuumed at all. It was debris everywhere. The door to the room I stayed was crooked, and I had a big crack at the bottom. The iron didn’t work, and, the water poured out of the iron ruining my pants. the bathroom toilet area did not have a place for the toilet paper to hang and inside the shower there was no area for soap or condiments to be stored.

The new upgrades were very nice. I loved the shower. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Though I was told that yours was a "smoke-free" hotel, the smell of marijuana was overpowering on the fourth floor. The ice machine on the fourth floor was not working.

The gentleman at check in was very nice and friendly. I woke up in sweat because the air kept shutting off, and we had no toilet paper or towels in the room. It was ok, not terrible but not good either.

Disappointing stop on our way to outer banks. Though our room was newly renovated, it only had two bath towels, the TV didn’t work and after three trips to the desk the manager said I wish I had a different room to give you but I don’t.

The hotel is under renovation so that was expected. The room I checked into had not been cleaned and made up. I went back down to the desk and the night manager was completely unhelpful. He goes on to tell me that they don’t make up the rooms everyday. I said I just checked in and the room is not cleaned or made up. He still wants to argue with me so I told them I was leaving and to refund the cost to my CC. More nonsense from the manager, so I left. He never asked if he could set me up with another room. Absolutely a terrible experience. Don’t stay here.

Overall it was a good stay. But my spouse was laying in bed while I go smoke and house keeping unlocked my room door and walked in with out knocking or not even saying house keeping before entering my room.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, my recent stay at this hotel was far from what I expected. I arrived to check in an hour after the posted check-in time, only to be told my room was not yet ready. There was no real explanation or apology—just a vague "we're still preparing it." After a long day of travel, being asked to wait with no clear timeline was frustrating and unacceptable. When I finally got to the room, things went from bad to worse. Upon unpacking, I discovered a pair of used men's underwear in one of the drawers, which was not only extremely unhygienic but also emitted a noticeable odor. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned, raising serious concerns about the overall cleanliness standards of the hotel. I reported the issue to the front desk, but the response was underwhelming—more of a shrug than an effort to resolve or apologize. I expected more care and attention from a property in this price range. Overall, this experience left a lot to be desired. A clean room ready at the stated check-in time is a basic expectation, not a luxury. I hope management takes steps to ensure future guests have a better experience.

My stay was very unprofessional, unsanitary and aweful, aweful customer service. Manager April is the worst. Im nit sure what this world has come to with allowing someone with her attitude and unprofessionalism to even work there and interact with the customers. My ADVICE, NEVER EVER BOOK A STAY AT THE LAQUINTA BY WYNHAM @ 300 South Salisbury Blvd, Salisbury, Md 21804. They are renovating the facility. But my opinion they need to renovate their STAFF AS WELL. The worst ever. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and I have never been treated so rudely, nor have I ever dealt with this level of unprofessionalism. Attorney and Too level of Managment for the Franchise have been notified. DONT EVER BOOK THERE!!!!! Part 2 with updates will be posted.

We just stayed Thursday to Sunday and it would have been nice to know before paying all this money that the hotel was in the middle of major renovation and did not have a bar or arcade on site (pictures and description show it). We were told free hot breakfast and the first morning there was no milk, coffee or orage juice just apple juice and cold sausage. The staff was very nice, but I wish we would've known about the renovations before I paid over $600 for a few nights.

Everything was pretty good with the exception of customer service. When we first arrived and entered the lobby (bags in tow), the young man at the front desk just looked at us. He didn’t welcome us, or greet us or anything. He just stared until I broke the ice and said good evening, I have a reservation, we’re here to check in.

Staff hospitality here is unsurpassed. Most accommodating, friendly, caring folks, took care of all that we needed! Convenient location, access to everything.

Very spacious and comfortable. Staff makes you feel like family. Only thirty minutes to Ocean City.

Close to the hospital since I had surgery at 6 am.

The room was clean and the bathroom recently updated. The bed and linens were comfortable. However the public areas were not clean. Had not been vacuumed at all. The lobby smelled. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast host/server was attentive and kind.. the area around the hotel is a little sketchy. The riverwalk is nice but watch for duck poop as it’s everywhere.

The guy who checked us in, John, was great. Unfortunately the neighborhood of the hotel is sketchy.

The place was under renovation and was a mess. There were homeless people loitering around. The property was not well lit.

The location relative to main street is great. The area is very walkable during the daytime. You are greeted upon your arrival by front desk attendants not in any kind of uniforms or attire that indicates they are employees sitting at the front desk diligently working on their cell phones with their feet up. Then got my key and proceeded to the elevator that had its fair share of carvings in the wood accent to make you aware of your surroundings "ghetto" . I can see evidence of the remodel but the job of the remodel is shotty at best the newly installed wall paper is peeling on the edges already , the design layout of the room and outlets is less than convenient had to unplug the microwave to work the coffee maker - because a lack of fore thought to provide the appropriate number of outlets. They have cabinetry to house the refrigerators but the fridges are too tall to fit in them so they are sitting beside the cabinetry that was ordered to house them . The A/C made a crazy noise when on and failed to cool the room even when on 64. The water in the shower is warm - not hot not cold - just warm and the water pressure is less than desirable- I get better pressure at home. I see why this is rated a 2 star hotel. The personnel despite their attire is friendly and did their jobs but clearly this hotel is lacking proper leadership and corporate attention

The person who checked us in, was very proud to say that we were staying in a newly renovated room. Workmanship was very poor. I could provide a whole punch list of things that were not done properly or finished at all. When making reservation, There was no indication that the hotel was being renovated. Entrance and check in we’re in a dark dreary small side door. Not a welcoming or comforting atmosphere. Linens were stained and thread bare. Breakfast was provided in a small conference room with limited seating. Food looked unappetizing, gross. We could not bring ourselves to eat there. I feel terrible that they are investing, major finances into a remodeling that is sloppy and incomplete in what they considered to be a finished room.

Our room was clean and comfortable and I think recently renovated with much better shower for mobility challenged people! The breakfast was nice but hard to find as the facility was still under renovations since our last visit a few years ago so it was in a 2nd floor room. Breakfast was from 6 to 9 but was unattended so 2 mornings at 8 there was no coffee, (even after calling front desk and asking for someone to fis issue) 1 morning no potatoes, and every morning very unsanitary as no one was cleaning tables or food area. Same gigantic pot hole in back parking area as last visit a few years ago.
