Nice rooms at The Ship. 2mins walk to the train station, 5mins into town. Can hear the pub music but they turn it off promptly at closing. Shower was strong and beds are comfy. Staff are friendly and welcoming, easy to check in and check out. Would stay again.

The staff very helpful and food excellent But room 7 seems to be over a cellar so noisey throw the night. And brick wall covering window.

Lovely old pub right next to Chelmsford rail and bus stations. Very welcoming bar staff. Rooms are really nicely decorated with tea and coffee making and separate secure access. Really great value and centrally located for all Chelmsford has to offer.
