We had a lovely stay. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel has been recently restored and it’s still a work in progress with the rear of the hotel being turned into a new restaurant and kitchen. The bar is well stock and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We sadly missed eating in the bar as we were unaware that they stopped serving before 8 pm on a Sunday night. The upstairs ditty are for hotel guest only is lovely to watch the sun go down on an evening.

This is a beautifully renovated property. The rooms are amazing - very luxurious and ornate furnishings and wonderfully comfortable bed. Beautiful front balcony to sit and sip on a drink and great bar. Check in and bar staff very friendly and professional Upstairs balcony for guests also great though lots of interested people wandering in for a look was not ideal. As it's still being renovated, food was being prepared from vans and off site which was not ideal.

Fabulously restored heritage hotel. While the rooms aren’t large, they are well equipped with everything a hotel room needs. Decor is beautiful and the bathroom just stunning. Staff friendly and helpful. Only negative- the ocean view, its there but far off in the distance. Pike’s restaurant, best Italian food I’ve ever had.

Beautifully restored and presented traditional town hotel. 8 lovely large rooms with luxurious beds and bathrooms. The informal bistro serves delicious pizzas, from a wood fired ove my, and Italian themed dishes. There's a large courtyard available. Currently, building work to complete the hotel's restoration is underway but it has been organised so that it in no way spoils the ambience and experience. It will doublessly enhance your stay once completed. Eden is an amazing little Australian town with a very important story to tell. The Whaling Museum contributes to this wonderfully. It's well worth visiting in its own right but makes an entertaining stopovers on the drive round the coast from Sydney to Melbourne.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Australiasia. The rooms were boutique style and lovely and clean and our particular room also had a balcony. The room comes with all amenities needed and also complimentary drinks and snacks in the room. The bar and restaurant are also very nice and the best in Eden. Staff are friendly and hotel is conveniently located on the main street. Only negative is the WiFi is not very strong.

Excellent property. Very clean and stylish. Very generous with bathroom amenities and comfort details. Coffee machine, teas, shaving kits. Tasteful renovation etc. If I were to make any notes, perhaps a slightly better breakfast should be provided but really, no complaints at all particularly when compared to where we are staying tonight for similar cost and other places we have been. I recommend this hotel really without reservation.

The boutique hotel felt warm and inviting and well located in the Main Street. We stayed in the Boyd Room which had era furnishing making our stay even more interesting. The bed was comfortable although I would recommend reducing decorative pillows as they take up available space in the room which is reduced already by a bath tub that would seem unnecessary in a small space. The pizzas were amazing, very tasty and cooked to perfection.

I liked the cleanness, the style and the ambient of the hotel, but there were a few issue worth mentioning: The shower draining was terrible causing water flow on the floor, had no tables inside and no racks for the suitcases, finally the room was quiet small.

Stumbled on this gem on a little road trip. We stayed in the Bass room. My ONLY complaint is that there was no door on the bathroom at all. So hard to have privacy when you need to do your business. Otherwise it was a wonderfully pleasant stay

A beautifully restored property with quiet, spacious rooms. Our originally booked room, “The Bass” named after George Bass, was designed without a door on the toilet. Why hotel architects make these decisions is beyond me, but thats for another time. Upon enquiring if we could swap to a room with a door, we were upgraded to a larger room at no extra charge. The king size bed was super comfortable and the room had all the amenities we needed. The lounge downstairs, with a warm gas fireplace offered the perfect spot for our evening game of cribbage while enjoying a cocktail from the bar, the Negroni was magnificent! Dinner that night was in Pikes restaurant and it was full of happy diners. Food was good, without being spectacular. All in all a great stop halfway between Wollongong and Melbourne.

What we did not like about the room: it was very very small, nowhere for our suitcases to go as floor space was minimal. Put our luggage out on the balcony so that we could get around easier. Hadn’t realised that the room was smaller when we booked, only once there we found out there were much bigger rooms at much bigger prices. I think we paid a premium price but was disappointed with the size of room. The room presented well with lots cushions on the bed but again when we took the cushions off again where do we put them! So they ended up on the wardrobe.

This hotel is beautifully decorated and has an attached bar/restaurant. Unfortunately we were only there for a brief stay and didn't get to fully take in the town. We were served a small free breakfast in the morning. The only thing that I found odd was that there was no bathroom door in our room and you can see into the bathroom from the bed, which was uncomfortable.

This historic hotel has been beautifully renovated. My room was spacious and decorated appropriately to fit in with the historic theme of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was included which was all I needed to start my day. Would stay here again if in the area

A historic hotel, amazingly & tastefully renovated. In the centre, a few steps from the bus & coach stop (for those not coming by car), within a walkable distance to a stunning beach and coastal lookouts. All members of the staff we met during our short stay were helpful, pleasant and professional, even those working 12 hrs shift - no weariness was shown in their interactions with guests. The manager waited for us to arrive very late, another staff member made sure we had something to eat on our early morning trip back home, as we missed on the continental breakfast. A range of ages & backgrounds are employed by the hotel, but each staff member provides equally exemplary customer service, making it quite an efficient hospitality industry team. We had a lovely stone baked vegetarian pizza & beer as a takeaway lunch and dinner at the restaurant, a local fish for seafood lovers, quinoa & veggies for vegans. The breakfast room is a delight to start morning at, including comfortable plush chairs, chandeliers, paintings, period features, high ceilings with ornate metal tiles, a lovely china, it also doubles as a restaurant for dinner. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with all the inclusions needed for a memorable stay. Suggestions: to fix the lock on the balcony door for added security, to provide slippers to the existing bathrobe, and to adjust a step leading to the toilet to prevent tripping over. We plan a dolphin&whale watching, staying at this hotel.

We have travelled around Australia and New Zealand and this is one of the best, if not the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The room we stayed in was the Bryley, which is exquisitely presented, the decor of the entire hotel is beautiful and then there's the staff......welcoming, friendly, attentive and simply fantastic! Great price, great location.....posting this review is probably to our own detriment, because next time we want to stay, it'll probably be booked out!

Querky decorations and furniture. No issue with parking. Felt they missed an opportunity with the restaurant which was distinctly bland although better than the alternatives in Eden. Eden cries out for a better restaurant. Service generally was OK but erratic, especially breakfast where over 3 breakfasts we got coffee in mugs, cups or glasses/ one or two plates/ one, two or no knives/ 4, 2 or no butter/ only vegemite and incorrect cereals! Would recommend the hotel as it is very unusual but be prepared to chase for your breakfast. And apparently they don't stock sparkling water?

Beautiful rooms in a magnificent hotel, the only downside was not much to do in Eden apart from a headland walk and museum. So given that the price is pretty up there, but I can’t fault the room and wonderful breakfast supplied.

Great stop over from Sydney to Melbourne. Easy to find and very accommodating staff. The place was renovated 2 years ago and it shows in every room. The tubs in the room are cute and the en-suite bathrooms were lovely with a shower. Off season was great. I was told it is very busy during summer months.

A historic hotel, amazingly & tastefully renovated. In the centre, a few steps from the bus & coach stop (for those not coming by car), within a walkable distance to a stunning beach and coastal lookouts. All members of the staff we met during our short stay were helpful, pleasant and professional, even those working 12 hrs shift - no weariness was shown in their interactions with guests. The manager waited for us to arrive very late, another staff member made sure we had something to eat on our early morning trip back home, as we missed on the continental breakfast. A range of ages & backgrounds are employed by the hotel, but each staff member provides equally exemplary customer service, making it quite an efficient hospitality industry team. We had a lovely stone baked vegetarian pizza & beer as a takeaway lunch and dinner at the restaurant, a local fish for seafood lovers, quinoa & veggies for vegans. The breakfast room is a delight to start morning at, including comfortable plush chairs, chandeliers, paintings, period features, high ceilings with ornate metal tiles, a lovely china, it also doubles as a restaurant for dinner. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with all the inclusions needed for a memorable stay. Suggestions: to fix the lock on the balcony door for added security, to provide slippers to the existing bathrobe, and to adjust a step leading to the toilet to prevent tripping over. We plan a dolphin&whale watching, staying at this hotel.

This hotel is right in the heart of the Eden town with walking distance to coffee shops, boutiques and the beach. It is less than 5 minutes drive to a cute ocean pool. We loved everything about our stay: the rooms, the decorations, the amenities and even the artwork on the walls. There's coffee making machine in the room and a tiny but practical fridge. The room we stayed was compact but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Highly recommend this place.

The boutique hotel felt warm and inviting and well located in the Main Street. We stayed in the Boyd Room which had era furnishing making our stay even more interesting. The bed was comfortable although I would recommend reducing decorative pillows as they take up available space in the room which is reduced already by a bath tub that would seem unnecessary in a small space. The pizzas were amazing, very tasty and cooked to perfection.

Excellent property. Very clean and stylish. Very generous with bathroom amenities and comfort details. Coffee machine, teas, shaving kits. Tasteful renovation etc. If I were to make any notes, perhaps a slightly better breakfast should be provided but really, no complaints at all particularly when compared to where we are staying tonight for similar cost and other places we have been. I recommend this hotel really without reservation.

We loved the renovations that had been done to the building - it was superb. My only criticism was the breakfast - the cereals provided (rice bubbles & something) was insufficient choice. You should have at least some weet-bix, cornflakes & muesli, and perhaps some sliced ham and cheese until such time as you can offer hot breakfasts.

Fabulously restored heritage hotel. While the rooms aren’t large, they are well equipped with everything a hotel room needs. Decor is beautiful and the bathroom just stunning. Staff friendly and helpful. Only negative- the ocean view, its there but far off in the distance. Pike’s restaurant, best Italian food I’ve ever had.

Room was absolutely beautiful, spotless clean and beds comfortable, I was travelling with my Mother so the 2 single beds were very much appreciated! Staff were really lovely and helpful. We didn’t get to try the breakfast because we had to leave by 7am and it didn’t start until 7.30am which was a shame. It would be really nice if maybe a curtain was installed to give some privacy to the bathroom from the bed rooms or at the very least section off the toilet but other than that zero complaints. A great place to stay.
