one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed at. our rooms, the patio and the bar area were beautiful, very well decorated. but as fabulous as the property was, the staff was even better. just extraordinary people. really went beyond. we loved this hotel and the people.

I had a very pleasant three-night stay here in room 14 on the third floor overlooking the Prinzengracht. Everyone at the hotel was very kind, gracious, welcoming and warm. The room was compact but spotless, with an excellent shower, dual sinks, safe, small mini-bar, and comfy king size bed. WiFi was fast and reliable--there is no dinner restaurant, only breakfast, which I didn't elect to have. Overall excellent location and a stunning view of the canal if you opt for one of those rooms.

Jättetrevligt hotell med väldigt personlig service samt bra läge i Amsterdam. Varning om man har dåliga knän, då det inte finns hiss och är väldigt branta trappor till rummen. Visade sig att frukostlokalen på hotellet renoverades när vi var där. Fick ingen info om det innan och vi erbjöds istället en frukostpåse till rummet. Helt ok men känns som de borde kunnat kompensera på annat sätt när man betalt för en frukostupplevelse.

Habitación muy amplia y cómoda, con muchos detalles que nos hicieron sentir como en casa, o mejor! El personal es muy amable y todo el tiempo estuvieron al pendiente de nosotros. La propiedad es una casa antigua por lo que no cuenta con elevador, sin embargo nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje.
Habitación muy amplia y cómoda, con muchos detalles que nos hicieron sentir como en casa, o mejor! El personal es muy amable y todo el tiempo estuvieron al pendiente de nosotros. La propiedad es una casa antigua por lo que no cuenta con elevador, sin embargo nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje.

A very nice private hotel in a great area, conveniently adjacent to a tram stop. Relaxing inner courtyard. Well appointed furnishings, and staff and service quality are excellent. No lift however, but the stairs work. I highly recommend checking out this lodging.

Amazing place to stay in Amsterdam. Location is excellent right on a canal and near tram stop but also easy walking distance to many places. Rooms are beautiful, charming and helpful staff, lovely continental breakfast. They gave us complimentary breakfast when we arrived from our very early flight while we waited for our room. The building is original architecture with updated rooms, very comfortable if you can handle steep stairs! The staff will carry your bags for you.

Personel, temizlik, odalar herşey harikaydı. Personel çok nazik, güleryüzlü ve ilgili. Odalar yepyeni, geniş. Banyo harika, kullanılan ürünler mükemmel. Otelin yeri de harika, sokak başından teamvay geçiyor ve merkeze çok uzak değil. Yakınlarda yiyecek alternatifi var. Bir daha gelsek kesinlikle yine burada kalırız.

El hotel está muy bonito, pero tiene muchas cosas que mejorar, el desayuno es lo mismo todos los días, pero la persona que atiende es de lo más amable, las almohadas son muy duras e incómodas, la limpieza del cuarto deja mucho qué desear, creo nunca lo aspiraron ni limpiaron en 7 días, solo tendían camas y cambiaban toallas, había una telaraña dentro del cuarto entre la puerta y el mini bar, también había una araña en el techo a un lado de la litera de donde dormían mis hijas.

It’s in a lovely area of Amsterdam, a favourite area of ours to stay in. The staff were pleasant. We did not like that the WIFI was not secure. In fact, we had a warning when we tried to connect saying that it was not trusted, so we did not use it. The staff constantly asked for our room key when we left the building. In fact, the first day we stayed the cleaner did not even lock our door after cleaning the room. The breakfast was incredibly expensive and not very plentiful. The walls in the bathroom had dirty marks. They were obvious to us so they should be to the cleaners.

Great central location for sightseeing but silent at night, right on the canal side and walking distance to everything. Lovely classic hotel with very attentive staff. One of the comfiest beds ive slept in and only downside for the whole stay was the room did not have an window and given it was at the bottom of the property felt a little like staying in a basement and didnt match the picture. If I was in a different room I would happily stay ago.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was so lovely - welcoming, friendly and helpful. I was surprised they could get our heavy luggage up the steep Dutch staircase. The hotel is in the perfect location - on a canal and close to restaurants and shopping. We were able to walk everywhere. Our room was cute and well-appointed though small. But it was just my husband and me on this trip, and we don’t need much. Would definitely stay here again!

I've stayed at hotels all over the world but this was the best service I've ever experienced, hands down. The staff really cares and will go to any length to please. My family and I were very impressed! It's a boutique hotel, so small but very charming. The location is perfect and my daughters enjoyed the bunk beds. We'll stay there again, without question.

We loved Hotel 717! The bathroom was newly renovated and beautiful. The bed was comfy and the location was unbeatable. Not bad for a 450 year old mansion!

This is perhaps my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I have stayed in hotels all over the world. This hotel is in a large converted canal house. The designers and staff have thought of every last detail. The artwork is interesting and thematic, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms are well-appointed with heated floors and high-end amenities. We stayed in a family room. My daughter loved the bunk beds and we loved the fresh bottled water brought daily and the incredible bed and pillows. Breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room was so relaxing. We visited in the evening to take advantage of the complimentary cake and to read, etc. The rooms were very quiet and very dark for sleeping, and ours had a leafy view into the walled garden. But it’s the staff that make this hotel exceptional. Giorgio made breakfast a fantastic experience each morning with prompt, friendly service. And when our infant fell ill, the staff were very helpful at giving us options for medical care should we have needed it. They recommended delicious food, made us tasty welcome drinks and ensured all our needs were met. If we find ourselves in Amsterdam again, we will certainly stay here!

Charming lovely hotel with excellent service and great location. Breakfast was delicious and served in an elegant gorgeous salon. Located only a 10 minute walk from major museums and a one block walk to the tram, this is the best place to stay in Amsterdam in our opinion. We would love to come back some day.

Beautiful property and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We loved the welcome drink, the walkability of the hotel to the rest of Amsterdam, and the employee’s attention to detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We left Houston, TX to escape a hurricane and they ensured that we could check in early. So appreciative and will definitely be staying with them in the future.

Camilla, Wolf, Victor, and other 717 staff members provided simply outstanding customer service, from walking us to nearby restaurants at dusk to drawing diagrams of the tram for easy use to providing the perfect food recommendations. This is perhaps my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I have stayed in hotels all over the world. This hotel is in a large converted canal house. The designers and staff have thought of every last detail. The artwork is interesting and thematic, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms are well-appointed with heated floors and high-end amenities. We stayed in a family room. My daughter loved the bunk beds and we loved the fresh bottled water brought daily and the incredible bed and pillows. Breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room was so relaxing. We visited in the evening to take advantage of the complimentary cake and to read, etc. The rooms were very quiet and very dark for sleeping, and ours had a leafy view into the walled garden. But it’s the staff that make this hotel exceptional. Giorgio made breakfast a fantastic experience each morning with prompt, friendly service. And when our infant fell ill, the staff were very helpful at giving us options for medical care should we have needed it. They recommended delicious food, made us tasty welcome drinks and ensured all our needs were met. If we find ourselves in Amsterdam again, we will certainly stay here!

One of the comfiest beds ive slept in and only downside for the whole stay was the room did not have an window and given it was at the bottom of the property felt a little like staying in a basement and didnt match the picture. If I was in a different room I would happily stay ago.

We booked Hotel 717 last minute since our flight got canceled and we absolutely loved our stay to the kind greeting from the staff to a perfect room for our family. The location was easy to get to and central. We would definitely stay there again.

The area is nice but location is relevant to what you what to do. If you need to be close to the train station, this isnt for you. The hotel offers a continental breakfast that isn't worth the cost. Lots of places around to get breakfast. The hotel has many stairs and narrow steep stairs. Not at all for people who cant do stairs. Rooms was TINY and the bed very soft. I wouldn't not recommend this hotel, but I wouldn't recommend it either.

Jättetrevligt hotell med väldigt personlig service samt bra läge i Amsterdam. Varning om man har dåliga knän, då det inte finns hiss och är väldigt branta trappor till rummen. Visade sig att frukostlokalen på hotellet renoverades när vi var där. Fick ingen info om det innan och vi erbjöds istället en frukostpåse till rummet. Helt ok men känns som de borde kunnat kompensera på annat sätt när man betalt för en frukostupplevelse.

El hotel está muy bonito, pero tiene muchas cosas que mejorar, el desayuno es lo mismo todos los días, pero la persona que atiende es de lo más amable, las almohadas son muy duras e incómodas, la limpieza del cuarto deja mucho qué desear, creo nunca lo aspiraron ni limpiaron en 7 días, solo tendían camas y cambiaban toallas, había una telaraña dentro del cuarto entre la puerta y el mini bar, también había una araña en el techo a un lado de la litera de donde dormían mis hijas.

All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the neighbourhood. No elevator but staff took our suitcases both up and down from our 3rd floor room. Great breakfast room with good food and coffee. Would not stay here again because of room size. We had to take turns opening our suitcases because lack of room. For 1 person maybe fine but not suitable for 2 people. Check room size carefully when booking. Overall good experience.
