Attractive boutique hotel but some practical things like a reading light/ bedside light would have been appreciated.

My second stay. Staff professional and approachable, helpful can-do attitude. Lovely room, the communal areas are not huge but they are lovely. A short walk from Central station, plenty of amenities nearby.

Stayed 3 nights

Stayed for 3 nights over a long weekend. The room we were given (305) at check-in was located right next to the lift, and upon inspection we realised it was in terrible condition and filthy. The carpets were so badly stained and looked very dirty, the single chair in the room was marked with stains and very worn, and there was hair between the bedding. We requested another room whereby we were told there was plenty of other availability for the room type we had booked. The balcony that we paid extra for was a waste as it faced the main street in front of the hotel where it was noisy, and also hot while we were there. The air conditioning in the new room did not work initially and when asked, the hotel manager was impatient and rude when telling me that the thermostat basically doesn’t work in the entire place. The bathroom was small but well appointed. Water from the mini bar was not free. For the price we paid, the size and service we received was not worth it. The only thing good was its location between the edge of Surry Hills and the CBD. This boutique hotel was a miss for us.
