If I could give a 4½*, I would. 5* attributes included clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, good quality towels everything in the room was in working order, plenty of storage space, magnifying mirror, no noise from other rooms and hallway.The only downsides are the check-in was a bit frustrating and no parking at the hotel.

Breakfast on-site (not free) was a small menu of expensive bourgeois options that won't appeal to every taste. Entrance is tough to find (Maps took us to the wrong side of the building and the many one-way streets made it tough to circle back) and parking is a few blocks away in a paid municipal garage, though for my overnight (10PM - 8AM), I was only charged $1, so I can't complain too much. Facilities and rooms seem clean, modern, and well-appointed overall. In room, the limited light switch placement wasn't ideal and every switch handled multiple lights, making it hard to get just the specific lighting you wanted. WiFi is "free" but only if you have (or are willing to register for) a Hilton Honors account. Premium WiFi (unclear what that gets you) is an upcharge regardless. We only stayed an overnight and had little time to explore, but the area around the hotel does seem pretty cozy with lots of little shops, studios, cafes, and bars around. Seems like good placement to potentially do a lot on foot without having to get the car and fight for parking, which is nice.

Great location and aesthetic. Tight rooms but well designed, great lighting, and very clean. Nice lounge and bar / restaurant area. Offsite parking is easy to access. Appreciated the ice and water refill stations on each floor.

The hotel was wonderful. They really need to put parking and arrival directions on the website, though, because we wasted a lot of time driving around trying to find it. Eventually, we had to call the hotel to get directions on where to park. Other than that, the hotel was perfect. We especially liked the gym & how it had newer ellipticals/ treadmills.

The Hilton Canopy is a very nice, updated design with a great lobby, bar and restaurant that gives the place a nice vibe. They offer free bikes which is fun in Ithaca, and it is near the downtown commons for easy walking and great restaurants nearby. Service was very good, and I got immediate attention when I had a problem with my TV. My only comment is that there is no obvious parking on arrival, and it is confusing. There is a garage close by, but when I arrived I could not figure out where to put my car to unload. And the parking garage does charge. Other than that, it is a great place.

This hotel is right in the area you want to be in Ithaca. Literally walk 50 feet to the corner and there are tons of restaurants with outdoor seating, shops and all that you need walking distance. From the lobby to the rooms, this hotel is very nice, almost elegant. The woman who checked us in was bubbly and helpful. The room was gorgeous. Super clean, modern, the beds were comfy, big tvs, large shower, great bathroom lighting, and our view was super nice. We didn't eat there but there is a dining area in the lobby. It's open so you walk through it and around it at times when coming and going. The only bummer is there is no parking so you park at a garage down and across the street. Pretty close but I've never had the elevator work for me. Street parking is an option. We stayed just one night and loved it. The location is prime and the price is fair for how nice a place it is.

It's generally a nice hotel and close to the tourist area. When we checked in, there was a party at the lobby and was very loud, but back in the room it's very quiet. No parking but the garage across the street is affordable $10 a day when we visit. If you leave early in the morning and come back late at night, street parking is free if you can find one. There were a couple right next to the backdoor of the hotel. The only complaint is that the bathroom light switch in our room was semi-broken. I had to try it many times for it to work. Also the vent above the shower was clearly dirty and/or moldy. They really need to clean it.

There was a bed bug crawling on the bedside table. The staff were understanding. The general manager was dismissive and told me that the room was checked and no bugs. Which of course was untrue. I took photos which she didn’t want. She as well told me I was rude because I disagreed with her. Her customer service was horrendous and dismissive and disrespectful

I didn’t this property 5 stars because they left a pizza box and other garbage in the garbage can near the elevator for my entire stay and the ice machine wasn’t working and nobody fixed it (uncoinidentally it was adjacent to the pizza box). Otherwise, my stay was lovely!

Everything was wonderful, very enjoyable overall experience. Minor complaint about the shower pressure not being the best, but otherwise else was near perfect. The only thing was that our last night and the morning after, we found a small cockroach each time in the bathroom area, which we notified the front desk about.

Very clean , comfortable, great staff. Was concerned since dogs allowed in all rooms but our room was cleaner than most hotels we’ve stayed in. Would definitely stay again. Only down side is no on site laundry facility even though Expedia says it has. Expedia seems to put this in every description without verifying as it’s happened repeatedly. Regardless, they charge by weight (and not piece) to do laundry so is reasonable.

Nice hotel, close to the Ithaca Common and the State Theater. The only issue was regulating the shower temperature. The temperature seemed to fluctuate during our showers which was somewhat annoying and caused my wife to end her shower early.

Lovely and convenient but the walls are thin. You can hear all toilets flush I suppose along the same pipe line near the room. You can hear doors slamming all night. It’s difficult for a light sleeper.

Mike the GM couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating! He certainly is the friendly, helpful, & pleasant face of this operation. It most certainly is our favorite hotel in Ithaca.

I had already paid for my room through Expedia and since Canopy couldn’t find my reservation they charged me again almost twice as much. The staff was not helpful in trying to get this issue rectified and would not provide me with a refund. I ended up paying almost $1000 for a room. Will not be going back. Very disappointed.

This is a nice hotel however upon my arrival they informed me they had cancelled my reservation, despite it being fully paid. They literally gave my room to someone else. While I did get a reimbursement after an hour call with Expedia- can you imagine the stress and anguish of having to find another room during a busy holiday weekend? We had to drive 30 minutes away. I had my family with me and it was an awful experience. Not sure if I can trust this hotel again.

Our recent stay at Canopy was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the receptionist was exceptionally friendly. A truly thoughtful touch was the adorable gift bag she prepared for our little dog, Luna. It included a toy and a tasty snack that Luna absolutely loved – it really made her feel like a welcomed guest too! The hotel's location was incredibly convenient for exploring the area. We found it to be close to everything we wanted to see and do, which made getting around a breeze. Our room was clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable – we both slept so well! Finally, the check-out process was just as efficient and hassle-free as the check-in. We highly recommend Canopy Hotel for its friendly staff, convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms, and thoughtful touches that truly go above and beyond. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

I was displeased that there is no on-site parking and no other option than to park in the recommended Seneca St. garage. The hotel does not validate or cover the cost for daily parking in the garage. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant took a long time. We were told (after the order was placed) that the mini quiche is made fresh in-house and would take a while. Still seemed like an excessive amount of time for an omelet and some mini quiche. I liked that there was access to a water filling station for our water bottles, coffees and teas for guests at the inside entrance to the restaurant, and such close walks to dining, and movie theater.

Great location in Ithaca and very nice staff. The room was very clean and comfortable although the bathroom was oddly set up. The hotel bar was very nice and open late which was great after a show at the State Theater.

The Canopy Hotel is is a great spot in downtown Ithaca, looks great, has a warm open feel to it. The restaurant is very good and the rooms are very well organized designed. The staff is welcoming and efficient.
