Ideal location for our Metallica weekend. Great welcome with complimentary drinks. Twin room with balcony was of a high standard. All public areas were of a high standard as was the food in the restaurant. Lots on offer and we joined the free historical walking tour which was very informative. There was a friendly vibe around the place with facilities for all guests.

Limpeza é um ponto a ser melhorado no hostel. Os banheiros são muito sujos e só são limpos 1 vez ao dia (inaceitável pela rotatividade de uso), meu quarto também estava bastante sujo e havia muito barulho do bar do hostel todas as noites. É ótimo o bar ter música animada e drinks, mas deve ter uma acústica adequada para não atrapalhar os hóspedes que desejam dormir. Eu acho muito ruim ser cobrado para guardar a bagagem antes do check in ou depois do check out, o hostel deveria oferecer isso gratuitamente e só cobrar dos hóspedes que desejam deixar malas grandes por toda a estadia no guarda-volume da recepção. Existe a proibição de não comer nos quartos, mas não existe monitoramento disso! No meu quarto haviam dois hóspedes que comiam coisas com um cheiro péssimo e invadia todo o quarto. Para que ter regras se não há fiscalização?

Lo unico que no me gusto es que el servicio de guardar las maletas de equipaje es mucho mas costoso que en otras tiendas. Y deberian tener en cuenta que se pueden hacer excepciones por ejemplo cuando el huésped va a volver al hotel.

Fantastic hostel, which is more like a hotel! Everything is so clean and new. The place is really spacious - including all common areas, rooms, bathrooms, and it’s a comfortable place to hang out. Staff are really friendly- I don’t know all of their names, but I remember Clara at breakfast was helpful and sweet! The breakfast was delicious - better than most hotel breakfasts I’ve had. I have stayed in a lot of hostels and this is one of the best. The area is cool and trendy, with so much to do and Would love to come back again. The hot and cold water station was very much appreciated :)

Location was really good. I walked everywhere. The hostel was very modern and clean, almost felt more like a hotel. Having the cityplaza resto right across was very convenient for a bite and a drink. A few cons…had to pay to store my luggage. Every other place I’ve been to does it for free. No hair dryer in the room, had to ask at the front desk and the hair dryer stopped working after 2mins. The communal dinner doesn’t really seem to be a thing. The people at the city plaza didn’t even know what I was talking about when I mentioned it. But overall, I would still highly recommend

Okay, so I have stayed in a few Hostels and this one was very upscale for me. I like that there was every age and culture staying in the place. I used the 6 bed private bath for my first stay and it was only used by me and one other person, so it almost felt private. The beds are comfortable, the bar and lounging area downstairs are very nicely done and lovely. They have a Dj on certain nights and days. The breakfast was good for what you pay, but the pizza is amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. They have so many social functions every week, meetups, and workout sessions that it felt like a resort. It has been interesting staying with other people like in college or high school, but if you are social it is a welcome change. You need to rent a towel and they have reliable WiFi! I’ve decided to stay again for a week because it was centrally located and well priced. Most of the highlights of the city are walking distance or by easy metro subway system!

Excellent stay at this centrally located hostel. The shared room was spacious and very clean with 2 lockers for clothes and bags (you have to bring your own padlock). The lounge offered different spaces for single individuals and groups which made it easy to chill out. The breakfast buffet included cereals, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tortillas, breads, fruits, juices, cheeses, churros and hot drinks to satisfy most if not all tastes. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation for an enjoyable visit to this lively city.

This was the cleanest hostel that we were really impressed by. We are a family of 5- 2 adult & 3 kids, so we decided to book their 6 bed room. The room was basic but clean. The staff/ guest services was exceptional. They have 24 hr front desk which was very helpful. They answered our questions patiently. The look of this property is very trendy and has a good vibe. We also got their help to book a taxi back to the airport and it was very convenient. Overall had nice experience at this hostel.

Staff service was phenomenal! They were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and they were super nice and accommodated us and let us check in early. They also call the cabs for us whenever needed. The bathrooms were not the cleanest and you had to rent towels. Other than that, everything was great!

Nice hostel. Booked a private room as a single but was given a quad room with 4 beds. Unfortunately its layout then meant the main area didn't get cooled adequately by the AC and stayed around 25 degrees, so opening the window was the only option, with noise all night long.

Penthouse room was great for a group of friends. Only one bathroom, though, and no door on the shower. Get to the breakfast at the hostel if you can - it was excellent. Centrally located. Can walk to major sites. Subway stop about 2-3 blocks away.

This property was a great value for our family of five. The room is pretty much no frills with three sets of solid bunk beds with very comfortable mattresses. Exactly what we were looking for! The location is quiet and the blackout curtains on each bunk made for great sleep. The breakfast buffet was better than expected with multiple fresh options. All of the areas we visited in Madrid were within walking distance of the hostel. Lastly, the staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely keep this company in mind when visiting other cities as they do have other locations.

I like the location of this place that it is close to most attractions in Madrid including the Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor, but the Room space is very tiny, I don’t like bunk beds Bec can’t sleep with my husband, very noisy at night bec of the bars across the street.

Great hostel, I would highly recommend. The hosts are super friendly and assist you with any queries. Great location also, fairly close to the metro system with the major tourist attractions nearby. Make sure you do the free walking tour, this was a great opportunity for me to meet other fellow travellers and our guide Erika was super helpful. Thanks to the Hostel for making my trip to madrid an enjoyable experience.

Central House is a great place to stay, but the host was very poor and this particular one doesn't have a quite time like the one on Lisbon. The host never asked me if it was my first time in Madrid, didn't provide any suggestions, or directions, was very impersonal, and then he asked if I was OK with sleeping on the top bed? I said, I don't understand your question, do you have other option? He said "no" so I was like, what is your point? I will rate the "welcoming or host" service very poor. Not what you expect from a hostel. This hostel has a "bar" included (not part of the hostel, inside the hostel) and a patio...there was drunk people screaming and laughing very late at night into the early morning hours. Next time I will pick a different place.

Vi ankom til hotellet et par timer inden check-in. Receptionisten var i gang med en meget venskabelig samtale med, hvad der så ud til at være en anden gæst, og vi stillede os derfor og ventede ved skranken. Efter ca 10 minutters yderligere snak, kiggede receptionisten på os og sagde, at check-in først var kl. 15 og at det overhovedet ikke var muligt at komme til før. Kufferterne kunne opbevares mod betaling indtil check-in. Da klokken blev 15 og vi checkede ind var der - naturligvis - opstået en kø, og vi kom derfor først op på værelset ca. ½ time senere. Værelset er nyt, fint og nogenlunde rent (der var ikke støvsuget særlig grundigt, og vi kunne se hår fra tidligere gæster på toilettet). Vores oplevelse med hotellet var umiddelbart god, bortset fra receptionen, der på intet tidspunkt hilste, kiggede på os eller selv tog initiativ til at checke os ind eller ud. Og så skal det nævnes, at der hver aften vi overnattede her var aktiviteter i gården, der larmede en del…

The location and infrastructure of hostel is not bad but it got diminished from the get go by the staff that is quite short and unhelpful. The first day we did not have a toilet as the door was broken and we had to use the public bar toilet in a different building. We let the staff know and they said "we're not going to call a technician on the weekend because it isn't an emergency". Ultimately they just removed the door and lock so we could use the toilet but not close the door which was better than no toilet

Es moderno y bonito. Las camas cómodas y limpias. Fui en familia y tuve una habitación privada. Tuvimos la mala suerte que siendo primavera hacía calor y no apagamos el aire, así que no entendíamos porque hacía tanto calor en la noche. Finalmente lo apagamos y pudimos dormir. es en un barrio cerca a todo aunque no es el barrio más bonito. Pero si lo volvería a usar el hostel, las personas son súper amables y es muy moderno todo!
