Hotel Frank since 1666

Check in took a long time, then upon entering my room I discovered an unacceptable stain on the bed. The receptionist eventually changed the linen but it was an ordeal. Then when checking out at what I would consider a sensible time of 7am, the ‘night porter’ was asleep with his feet up in an armchair with a baseball cap over his face. This is not what I’d expect from a +€200 a night hotel. I won’t be back.

Lovely clean rooms. Set in a quiet street with lots of eateries within minutes walk. Most of the townhouse style hotels have quite steep steps, so good mobility a must. Would stay again.

Great historic building that they have ruined with modern decor. Black painted walls and modern furniture, extremely small rounded dangerous staircase we nicknamed the stairs of death because they are covered in black carpet so you have problem seeing the steps. Light system option is to turn every single light on or off - you can't go to the toilet at night without turning every light in the room on. Room poorly lit and black walls made is worse. Neighborhood has become severely touristy and noisy. Bring your earplugs. Upside is at room was very clean but there was a sewage smell in the lobby area.

Staff were great… room was really clean and shower fantastic ! Great location
