Long View Waternish

We enjoyed this stay so much that it redefined some of our life goals. The home was amazing and the views were absolutely stunning. The home is immaculately clean and very comfortable, equipped with everything you could need and the accompanying tablet in the home has informative videos to show you how to use all the features. Communication was very clear with the hosts. We loved the area so much we can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful time at Longview. The house is very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. The kitchen had everything we wished for. The bathrooms come with wonderful thich towels. We really did not miss a thing. The location is outstanding. It was very quiet and relaxing. And the view was really loooong. Just meadows and the sea, an occasional deer or sheep. What a wonderful place. We could have stayed indefinitely.

The house in Waternish is amazing! The picture window views out to the view across the water are STUNNING! The house is perfect with everything you need for a stay off the grid and away from it all - log burner with a large TV, bookcase full of books - highly recommend and will definitely be back when we come back to the Isle of Skye!

The waterfront house is beautiful with stunning views. It was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of towels, paper products and toiletries. The washing machine was an added bonus. We were 3 couples and appreciated each of the 3 bedrooms having an en suite. The house is not centrally located…with the exception of 2 restaurants, it’s a quite a drive to get places…for us, it was worth it.

House was perfect for our group of 5 adults! A very well designed home with private, spacious bedrooms each with their own washroom. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and socializing and we enjoyed every meal looking out the large windows to the spectacular view! Highly recommended by all 5 of us!!

This property was absolutely stunning. We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids (ages, 11, 14, and 16) used this property to explore the Isle of Skye during a two week vacation in Scotland. The views from the huge windows were breathtaking. It is such a peaceful location. The house itself was spacious and clean. With a 5 of us it's always a challenge to find a property where we are comfortable. With 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, everyone was able to have their own space. The washer and dryer were essential as this was the midway point of our trip and we had quite a bit of laundry to do. The only suggestion we have is to provide instructions for how to use the stovetop. We had to Google the model to learn how to use it. We would love to return to Skye and stay in this property again.

Just stunning, beautiful situation, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. Even saw the Northern Lights on our last night. Perfect.

Beautifully presented house with tasteful decoration, lots of space and in general good facilities. We had a wonderful x2 weeks in Longview over Christmas and Hogmanay enjoying the amazing views over the Minch when we weren't out walking the hills. unfortunately when we arrived the satellite TV and remote control wasn't working properly. Our attempts to communicate with agency managing the property were problematic and in the end we just gave up. The shelves in the fridge door were cracked and broken. The only way to make them usable was duct tape. Having x3 ensuite bathrooms is fabulous - they go great with the fluffy towels provided. Just weird that no bath mats were available! In reality these are not major things. The house is really nice and we made allowances for things being fixed given it was Christmas. However at this price range you expect things to be pretty much perfect going. Especially as one assumes all of the above were obvious issues to anyone.

We only stayed 3 days and wished we could stay for 3 weeks! Stunning water views and a beautiful home. The house was very clean and very comfortable. Nothing like a hot shower and a cozy sofa after a long day of hiking! We also enjoyed our neighbors! Sheep, deer, bunnies, friendly cats, cows, chickens, roosters and a variety of birds! The best Skye has to offer!

Hi We had a very great stay - the house is large and beautiful, with an amazing view of the sea. What a wonderful way to wake up in the morning seeing the sea from the windows. We found the house very clean and the communication with the staff very easy and responsive Recommended

We had a great trip to Scotland, but our experience with this rental could have been much better. We initially booked a separate rental owned by this owner. However, a few weeks after our booking was confirmed we were notified that it was being canceled because the owner wished to use the property for our dates. We were offered this property as an alternative. It was disappointing that this happened. We were told that the rate would be matched, but we ended up being accidentally charged a higher rate for this property that we were rebooked with. We were refunded but due to the exchange rate, we ended up not receiving the full amount we paid. I understand the owner does not have control over exchange rates but after the disappointment of being rebooked this added further frustration to the process. As for the property itself — it has outstanding views. The house is very modern and updated. However, upon checkin we noticed not all of the toilets were cleaned. There was also a food stain in the refrigerator. We also noticed oil dripping from the vent fan over the stovetop. This would be a perfect property if it were better maintained. Part of being able to relax on vacation is feeling you are in a clean place. We did not get this feeling while there. I notified the owner of this the evening we checked in but did not hear back until two days later. We very much enjoyed the views, we will rebook elsewhere when we return to Skye.

This house was perfect for 6 adults. It was very clean and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. The location is great for touring Isle of Skye. Wish we could have stayed a few days longer!

Beautiful house! Cleaners need to check the windows better, there were lots of spider eggs in them...also flies...

I stayed here with a few friends over New Year for the second time in a row now, and it was just as good as the first time around. Lovely modern house with a homely feel and stunning views all around. I would definitely stay here again!

Long View is amazing inside but the real stunner is definitely the views!! Wow!! Could not get over the beauty outside of ALL the windows that face the water (and most of them do!) If you want to stay someplace on Isle of Skye that will take your breath away this is it! We cannot wait to return!

One of the most remarkable places I’ve ever stayed, it’s definitely a journey to get out to the house, but the views were amazing, the house was exactly as described, and communication was great. Highly recommended!

The pictures of the property don't do it justice. Not only was the home immaculate and beautiful inside, the sweeping views just added to the whole peaceful experience. Hosts responded to quickly to enquiries making this the perfect ending to our family Scotland tour.

We met local Waternish folks and loved watching as new lambs were born every day! We will all treasure our time together in this gorgeous home. We loved the views, the layout of the house, all the natural light and space, the stocked kitchen, the mud room, and the separate washer and dryer. We all slept peacefully and enjoyed cooking and relaxing here. We want to visit again.
