Clean, well equipped room. Excellent breakfast. Able to use swimming pool and spa area which was of a high standard. Plenty of parking spaces.

We had a lovely stay, we spoke with staff members, David and Clair. They were lovely and gave us some local knowledge. Facilities were good, it was a shame the hydra pool wasn’t working. But overall, we would recommend staying at the hotel, the atmosphere was great, good clean place. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas.

Great hotel except disabled access to pool was a long walk for me outside as I use a mobility scooter, then really struggled to access the jacuzzi up steps. Again not disabled friendly.

Really relaxed stay. Lovely, well maintained, clean room. The facilities(pool, gym etc) were a bonus. Reasonably priced too!

Hotel and room was nice, facilities just not big enough for amount of rooms i.e pool and spa very busy all time. Food was excellent both evening meal and breakfast although bar says shut at 11 and actually closed at 10 so couldn't get a drink after that and breakfast was really busy no tables cleaned and waiting on food to be brought out was bit of a let down, a few bits in room needed sorting, plug for kettle not working and no wash in bathroom had ran out would stay again .

Only spoiled by a staff member who told “leave the pool as we are closing now” 20mins before the pool was advertised to close. “If you don’t leave, you will not be able to access the hotel”, which actually happened. Despite jumping from pool and promptly getting half dressed, the attendant locked the hotel door 10mins before closing, prompting a walk in rain out side hotel and back! Really quite unbelievable service. Would have been fine if I was asked “can you help here I have something I need to leave early for”, but “get out or I will lock you in” as the first contact !!! I can’t imagine how this actually came about

I don’t understand why this place has such a high rating, and the price seems unreasonable (even in central London, you can find much better hotels for the same price). The staff has no sense of hospitality: check-in is at 4 PM, we arrived around 5, yet they still asked us to wait without offering tea or coffee after our journey. In the morning, I informed them that there was no shower gel, shampoo (a 2-in-1), or conditioner in the bathroom—the bottles were empty. I was told I should have come down and asked for it myself! For over £100 per night, do I still need to go ask for basic amenities? The hotel also doesn’t provide slippers or a robe, and there was litter on the bathroom floor and bits of what looked like leaves on the bed. The carpet looks dirty. I chose this hotel for its advertised spa facilities. I called a day before to check if everything was in working order and was assured it was, yet the steam room was out of service with no prior notice. There’s a small sauna that’s almost always full, a hot tub, and a small pool. This is not a true spa experience; the sauna is only worth it if you use the gym as a member. The wet area is moldy, and the paint is peeling (it should really be tiled). On the positive side: the furniture is new, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is a standard English breakfast, there’s parking, and the shower has good pressure and consistent temperature.

Lovely setting, room was very clean modern and bed large and very comfy. Ideal location for exploring the peak District, ideal safe parking for our Motorcycle.

Not a luxury stay by any means and not worth the money. Spa area is nice but bar and dining areas very dated, shabby stained and ripped furniture and dirty floors. Bathrobes are hard. Very disappointed

Beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean. Lovely staff. Food in the Club bar was excellent as was the service. Entertainment was ok, too loud in Friday night.

The property was clean and well maintained. The air conditioner was very noisy. The facility is well maintained. It’s not close to any major shopping but for us it was very quiet and relaxing for visiting family. The food menu was bland and not very good. Breakfast was the same every day. Bar menu was tired and in need of a refresher.

The hotel is very nice, in great condition and has all of the additional services to make it a very good 4 star hotel. However I could not get WIFI in my room and had to work in the bar (including a teams meeting). For golf or a romantic weekend I would have given this 5 stars as a business traveller I had to down rate it.

Stayed here for a wedding in the local area, bright modern hotel with great sports/Gym facilities. We had a large room with great bathroom.

Really nice place to stay, modern, quiet, great gym and pool. Room was spacious, had everything I needed, clean, comfortable bed. The only thing I would say is that the breakfast wasn't up to the same level as the rest of the experience, which is sad.

Everything was A1 except for poor and sometimes non-existent wi-fi in the room

I arrived at 2:15pm to be told in a robotic way that the check in is at 3pm.. then was told the room wasn't ready! The room was just a basic room. Tow single beds merged to make a double bed with an annoying line in the middle. But, it was quite with a nice window view.

Hotel of a good standard, room spacious although lighting was poor. Good facilities, pool was nice. Unfortunately as hotel only guests, we felt that the club members were treated as a priority. Breakfast was very disappointing, a paltry offering of cooked items buffet style which were luke warm. Also, on the second morning, the breakfast location changed with no signage to indicate this. Previous breakfast area had half decent coffee machines but today there were some urns of a horrible, weak coffee only.

Great price and facilities. Only issue was that my "Double" bed was two singles pushed together with a noticeable dip in the middle.

What a lovely place to stay. Room is very well appointed with a comfortable (and massive) bed and a beautiful bathroom. We will happily stay here again next time we are in town.

Nice hotel and rooms,unfriendly welcome at reception not helpful at all,room wasn’t ready till nearly 4 o clock,bar advertised as shuts at 11,last orders was actually 1030 even for residents,at 11 someone came in hoovering!

The staff are absolutely lovely, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Especially the brunette woman on the reception (sorry didn’t catch her name!) She provided with us extra towels when needed, gave us plates and cutler for our room because we decided to get a takeaway as their was a members party on on the night we stayed and we just wanted a quiet night! She had a great sense of humour and made us feel really welcome. The room was massive and modern with a brilliant power shower and the bed was really comfortable. The spa was brilliant with a huge jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. We went twice over the weekend and both times was quiet enough to relax! We noticed they actually offer a crèche as well for children so you could play sports and go the spa for an hour even if you take your children which we thought was brilliant and we definitely be bringing our children next time. 10/10!

Lovely hotel, very modern, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the staff just didn’t seem to want to be there! Receptionist upon checking in barely acknowledged me. I tried to let him know that if you click on maps directly from the app it takes you 1/2 mile down the road. I said I thought I’d mention in case other people struggled to find the location. He shrugged his shoulders & told me it was probably my sat nav! Bar staff were better but kept going awol leaving people looking to get served for several minutes at a time with no one behind the bar. I had a great nights sleep, comfortable beds and lovely shower. I thought maybe the hotel was a little short staffed the night before and that maybe my experience would be better in the morning. Sadly after standing for 10 mins at reception the lady at the desk didn’t even bother acknowledging that myself and 3 other people were standing there waiting. In the end both me and another guest just left our keys on the desk.

Only two things let it down: the fire alarm going off at 4.10 am and the very slow service in the restaurant. We asked the waitress for a little more time to decide as my daughter with an eating disorder was finding it hard to work out what she would be able to manage. The waitress then ignored us for half an hour, not even taking a drink order, while serving others and studiously avoiding looking in our direction. In the end I had to go to the bar to ask for our order to be taken.

We had a very comfortable stay, the room was spacious and had everything that we needed. All areas of the hotel were kept very clean throughout our stay and the reception staff were very helpful.

Extremely overpriced drinks at the bar. member of Staff not very friendly on reception at check in only 1 set of towels in the room ( there were 2 of us )

Lovely property with lovely room and facilities. Breakfast was disappointing on all days with either no coffee, no plates, no cutlery, no pastries or no bread. Staff ill trained and dismissive (at breakfast). Very very poor for such a nice place.

Great stay en route to The Lakes. Lots of amenities & close to good dining options. Fabulous walking too.

Lovely two night stay at Tytherington. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The club itself is also very nice and has a pool and a gym. Food was good as well. Would happily stay again. The hotel was a good location for visiting the many gorgeous villages in the surrounding areas.

nice and quiet, convenient for macclesfield. We shall be returning. Very comfortable super king bed. We didn't try breakfast as our son is very close. The air conditioning was excellent too. Fab shower, all super clean. very friendly and helpful staff.

Comfortable room and bed with a view of a flower bed and car park. I stayed for one night and the room was lovely. For the price though I would have expected breakfast to be included and the limited access to the spa (it’s prioritised for members) was disappointing. The spa is great though it has very confusing lack of signage to show you which of three changing rooms to use. Also to get back to the hotel (once again poor signage) I had to walk outside in the snow and up a treacherous slope to get back to my room. The guy on reception was very rude and suggested I was an idiot for going the wrong way. (Despite the electronic gate giving me no option). This hotel is not suitable for business travellers as the spa only opens 9-11am. I have never seen that in any hotel before.

It was a short getaway from London and we were looking for a Hotel that is close to Peak District. The hotel truly met our expectations. Its a very nice property and so close to Peak district. There are a few restaurants around the Hotel + the amenities in the Hotel were nice. We enjoyed swimming, sauna, hot/cold room, game of paddle, walk around the park etc. Would definitely recommend this to others

Check in was ok. Seems that they were lacking trained staff though and had to wait to ask a colleague something. Room comfortable and amenities decent. The pool/spa is really nice. Breakfast ok, but we booked for dinner and the whole thing was an absolute shambles. Food quality, wait time and (non) service. Maybe a lack of trained staff between Xmas and New Year, but was dreadful all round. Other than that, at a reasonable price it was decent.

Overall the room was lovely. Disappointed with our dining, cost us £100 for 4 meals. The steak was not worth £26.00 and when complaining to the staff they also agreed this. Service was slow, steak didn’t come with the peppercorn sauce and had to wait for that. Deserts were poor and not worth the £8.00. Overall hotel room was lovely but would not visit again.

We are a couple and had two nights as a break away from normal parenting duties. The room was lovely- spacious, modern and clean. Staff all welcoming, friendly and helpful. The health club facilities were also excellent, we loved having access to the gym, spa and group exercise classes. The only reason I didn’t give 5* is due to the breakfast. It was a bit disappointing- only sugary cereals, basic “fry up” and basic sliced bread. If this can be improved upon, I’d would definitely get my 5*!!

The food service was terrible and bad service. My husband had a food poisoning because the squid wasn’t cooked properly and it was raw. The staff was not caring at all. The service was terrible and very slow. They took ages to bring the food out

We enjoyed our stay. The room was great. The pool area was really well kept up. Breakfast was decent. But we would recommend not eating at the “restaurant”. Although the food was fine but basic, the service was not good. Food was coming out and no one knew what table they went to. We were told the wrong table number and not shown to our table. We were told to order at the bar despite it being a restaurant. And then once we ordered someone came and asked had we ordered. So still confused about that. It was just a bit chaotic. But overall we had a good stay.

The restaurant was closed at 9:05 pm the I got to the hotel (Thursday) all that was available was a packet of crisps and a milkshake. On the Saturday night of my stay, I tried to order food at 8:10pm and the kitchen wasn’t taking any further orders. Fortunately, the young lady who worked in the restaurant took pity on me and let me order a pizza. There was a 50 minute wait.
