Lovely room, if a little small. I wouldn't call it "superior" but it was adequate. Much appreciated were the water cooler in the lobby outside the roooms, and fresh milk in the fridge. Good menu choice for breakfast. Obliging staff. Definitely recommended.

This was close to perfect. Everything I like in a B&B / Hotel. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Great oldie worlde pub part, but super modern rooms with everything you need. Lovely and warm, hot towels, clever little communal tea, coffee area just outside the rooms with real milk in a little fridge. Really clever layout. Cracking little bathroom, perfectly clean… loved it. Booked a meal and it was beautiful, home made lasagne & cottage pie with fresh veg, salad, garlic bread… breakfast was great, too… lots of choice and a nice large or small cook breaky… Highly recommended.

Parking perfect - space allocated for the room. Meal in the pub very good and fairly priced. We had to leave before breakfast service but nice bacon sandwich provided to take with us. It worked very well. All staff very accommodating.

Booked for a 1-night stay for work. Great welcome and shown to room (in room 3). Lovely room, good TV and wifi. Bed was very comfortable, ensuite was great and heated. Own thermostat in room. Small desk to work at (if required). Nice touch of being able to get fresh milk for tea and coffee in lobby just before going into room, as well as bottled water. There is 1 car park space for each of the 4 rooms, car park is free. The breakfast (included in my price) was brilliant and hot (I went for the cooked breakfast). I also ate here on the evening I arrived (had the chilli & rice) and the food arrived to my table quickly, and it was tasty. Possibly the best place I have stayed this year (2025)!

I believe this is the finest B & B I’ve ever stayed in . For context that is a long list , I usually stay away at least once a week, most weeks. The room was perfect in all aspects , very high standard of decor , extremely comfortable bed , bathroom modern and well appointed . Reception lounge was well appointed with fresh milk in communal fridge, water cooler . Breakfast was of high standard , freshly made , quality produce used. A lot of quality touches throughout the room . 10/10

The Trust and Crown is a lovely spacious pub with friendly staff, a good menu and drinks selection, bonus of outside seating for sunny days. The room was very clean and well thought out, with kids of nice little touches. The mattress and bedding was amazing and I had a better sleep than I do at home. I look forward to visiting again in the future

Room was a great size, very clean and bed was super comfy. You are next to a road where you can hear cars passing, but it wasn’t an issue for me at all. Lovely breakfast in the morning and the pub food was lovely

Very pleasant one night stay enroute from Brighton to Torquay. Warm welcome from the innkeepers, delicious dinner and breakfast in the pub downstairs, and a very comfortable and quite night's sleep in a newly renovated room.

We were impressed with the room, very modern and comfortable with a great en-suite shower, my wife really liked the decor, we had a evening meal which was great, especially enjoyed the breakfast but every meal was home made and quality, will definitely stay again and recommend

Much better than I expected from the photos. Only disappointment was that breakfast starts at 7:30 and I had to leave at that time, but the chef made me a breakfast sandwich to take with me which was much appreciated.

What a lovely place! Would highly recommend a stay here. The room was great, it is very clean & the one we stayed in was spacious. The area is quiet & you can’t hear any noise from the pub below. Breakfast was included, there was a good selection and it tasted delicious. The staff are very attentive and friendly. If we visit the area again, we would book another stay here in a heartbeat.

Room was a great size, very clean and bed was super comfy. You are next to a road where you can hear cars passing, but it wasn’t an issue for me at all. Lovely breakfast in the morning and the pub food was lovely

We had a comfortable one night stay. Our room was clean and tidy and breakfast was excellent. The staff where very friendly. You need a car to get around (although we did not need to investigate public transport).

This was close to perfect. Everything I like in a B&B / Hotel. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Great oldie worlde pub part, but super modern rooms with everything you need. Lovely and warm, hot towels, clever little communal tea, coffee area just outside the rooms with real milk in a little fridge. Really clever layout. Cracking little bathroom, perfectly clean… loved it. Booked a meal and it was beautiful, home made lasagne & cottage pie with fresh veg, salad, garlic bread… breakfast was great, too… lots of choice and a nice large or small cook breaky… Highly recommended.

Booked for a 1-night stay for work. Great welcome and shown to room (in room 3). Lovely room, good TV and wifi. Bed was very comfortable, ensuite was great and heated. Own thermostat in room. Small desk to work at (if required). Nice touch of being able to get fresh milk for tea and coffee in lobby just before going into room, as well as bottled water. There is 1 car park space for each of the 4 rooms, car park is free. The breakfast (included in my price) was brilliant and hot (I went for the cooked breakfast). I also ate here on the evening I arrived (had the chilli & rice) and the food arrived to my table quickly, and it was tasty. Possibly the best place I have stayed this year (2025)!

What a beautiful property. Its a credit to its owners who have not missed anything that makes an overnight stay comfortable. Super clean, upmarket, comfortable and with all the little things that you expect - tea, coffee, biscuits - just those nice little touches. Then, there is the pub, which is simply superb. A classic English pub. What's not to like? And the breakfast was sensational. Highly reccomended.
