Canopy by Hilton West Palm Beach Downtown

Convenient location downtown in walking distance to everything including the convention center. Pleasant staff, dog friendly, beautiful lobby, clean modern rooms, comfy beds. The only thing is the Internet was choppy, and the walls are pretty thin, but I used earplugs to sleep.. Other than those two, everything else was perfect. The rooftop pool and the restaurants are excellent. I love they offer a gym as well which I sadly didn’t get to use but instead walked along the water every night, which is super close. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to places nearby. I appreciate it the late check out when I requested it. We’d definitely stay here again.

Last year we visited the hotel for the first time we had a great experience. This year was even better Santiago the hotel, assistant manager is phenomenal. He embodies the term hospitality recommend this hotel anyone visiting West Palm Beach walking distance to restaurants, shopping parks. They have a terrific rooftop lounge, great food and drinks.

Great location and property was well kept. Be warned if you want to use the rooftop pool and hot tub after 7pm they turned it into a night club to cash in and no swimming allowed. Seems every night they give ‘free entry’ to guests but facilities are closed which sucks if you plan on relaxing in the roof top amenities they boldly promote. During the day. the limited loungers are behind a roped off section as they have them for outside ‘resort pass’ purchasers. Cash grab seems heavy with guests playing second fiddle.

We really enjoyed the Canopy and would stay here again as well as recommend it to others. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile. The rooftop pool was very unique and offers beautiful views of the marina. The rooftop bar served great drinks and delicious food. Everything in our room was extremely nice and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is also in a prime location with everything within 10 minutes. Lastly, we enjoyed the extra amenities including the hotel bikes and shuttle service that takes you within a certain vicinity of the hotel at no charge. Overall, this was a 10/10 stay!

We stayed at the Canopy hotel over Memorial Day weekend. Everything was clean, food was good and location was ideal. Easily able to walk to shops and restaurants. Only wish there were a few more lounge chairs at the pool. Otherwise wonderful hotel.

Last couple times I was there they had DJs etc at the pool and bar area at the rooftop.. They close the pool early and the guests cannot use it. It is dominated by people who are not even hotel guests there. Then the music at the bar and lounge area is so loud is ridiculous Plus you cannot find a seat by the pool during that time

Booked a room for myself and my two young children for a one night “staycation”. We were excited to swim in the rooftop pool for a few hours, and then had plans to retire to our room for movie night and dinner via room service. What a disappointment to find out upon check in at the front desk (and only because I inquired about the hours) that the pool and adjoining restaurant were closed for the rest of the day, due to a private event. My children had talked about the rooftop pool our entire hour drive up from Ft. Lauderdale, and could hardly contain their excitement as we pulled up to valet out front. Just ten minutes later, they were both devastated (my 7-yr old in tears) that their trip had been “ruined”. It broke my heart to see them so upset. I was determined to make it right, so I told the gal at the front desk we were leaving, and we went down the street to the Marriott, instead. There must be a better way to communicate with your guests about amenities being closed BEFORE check in. I wasted so much time in line for valet, unloading luggage, standing in line at reception, and walking through almost every single step of check in, before I knew anything about the 13th floor being closed. I understand hotels make a substantial amount of revenue from private events, not unlike the one we were at the mercy of tonight. But how much revenue have you lost from people like me, who will forego disappointment the next time around, and avoid staying with Hilton in the future.

I booked this hotel last minute. It was a great choice due to location and amenities available. It was very clean and modern. There was a conference being held that weekend but that did not inhibit traffic or wait times for anything.

I had higher expectations for this hotel based on the many glowing reviews, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. I arrived around 9:45 PM after a long day of travel, only to be given a room that was clearly not cleaned—bed linens were piled on the desk, beer bottles were scattered on the floor, and the room was in an overall filthy condition. To their credit, the front desk staff was apologetic and courteous. They quickly issued a new room and offered two complimentary breakfast vouchers as an apology. The next morning, I ordered the avocado toast, which consisted of a single piece of bread topped with one egg and a scoop of guacamole. I added a berry smoothie, which somehow cost an additional $9—even with the $30 breakfast voucher. The toast came with a side of fruit, which unfortunately had hair in it. My companion ordered a side of bacon that never arrived, and we had to call the front desk to have it brought up. The second room was an improvement, but not without issues—there were multiple hairs on the bed sheets. I’m hoping they were left behind by the housekeeping staff and not previous guests. Another downside: this hotel does not offer parking. Your only options are $44 per night valet service or finding street parking nearby. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this property based on my experience.

The front desk and valet staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel appeared clean and had a pleasant scent. Our room was mostly tidy, but I noticed the floors could have used a better mopping, and the rug under the bed wasn’t vacuumed. However, the linens and towels looked and smelled fresh. My wife and I felt that the management's execution of their ideas could use some improvement. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for one night, and we chose this hotel partly because it features two bars/restaurants. Unfortunately, the restaurant near the lobby was closed until dinner, leaving us with only the rooftop bar for cocktails. Although it was only 2 PM and not very busy, the indoor DJ was far too loud for the space, making it impossible to have a conversation. It felt more like a nightclub in Vegas than a relaxing bar, although both bartenders were friendly and welcoming. Our experience was different when we returned for breakfast the next morning, as the bartenders were less inviting. We walked by the pool a few times, but it didn’t look inviting. It was crowded with high-top tables and chairs, while the lounge chairs were cramped together on one side, all occupied. To make the most of our stay, we decided to explore downtown, which is conveniently walkable from the hotel. The hotel also offers a golf cart service to transport guests around the area, which is definitely a highlight.

Bugs in room woke up with bug bites on my body

The staff was super friendly. Whoever we walked into was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival in our room we tried to lay on the bed and found ourselves in a whole. The mattress was overused and didn’t have any shape anymore. We asked for another room with a better bed and they did switch us. The new rooms bed was better however it was not as clean. We found black long hair everywhere and there was rice left overs by the toilet which made me wonder why there was food around the toilet. Other then that we slept great, it was quite and the room is spacious. Staff was very nice!

Check in was 4pm and room was not available until 4:30, chaotic lobby and dirty carpet in the room . Would not come back to this property

The hotel is great and the staff do try their best to serve. Unfortunately I booked 2 nights, first day left early in the morning hoping to come back to a clean and services room, and at 10 pm when I came back no room done, no clean towels. I called to see if that was a service I needed to request and no, it’s complimentary they just skipped my room… NOTE: I did not leave outside the door the sleep sign. Front desk just said I’m sorry

Overall would stay again. The walls are a bit thin and there was a random noise that woke us up at midnight. Still not sure if it was someone above us hitting the floor or the sound of the water pipes in the ceiling. Our shower also dripped after use even though we turned it off. Stunning city view from the 8th floor and the room was gorgeous. Rooftop is worth the stay.

Rooms are nice, but l guess they working on them. We looked the ceiling and all we saw was a rough unpainted cement ceiling lol .. overall we loved everything.

You can hear everything at night and it’s very nosey

The hotel is trendy, but the quality was sub par in comparison to other hotels nearby in the same price point. The room has zero ventilation, pillows are huge making sleeping uncomfortable, paper thin walls, and no privacy with sliding bathroom doors that don’t lock or stay closed.

Our hotel room (604) was spacious and the two queen beds were comfortable. The air/co worked perfectly. The room had everything we needed, from a safe to an iron and mini fridge. The sliding door for the bathroom didn’t really work - it was too thick and constantly smashed into the sink. The hotel itself is close to the Brightline train station, which we used to arrive in West Palm Beach. The area around the hotel is fine. We have no complaints and would likely stay here again.

As a Hilton Gold Member, I had high expectations for my stay at the Canopy Hilton in West Palm Beach, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Over my 3-night stay, there were no towels in my room for two of the nights, and I had to repeatedly call the front desk to address the issue. Despite my loyalty status, the staff seemed completely indifferent and offered no sense of urgency or care. To make matters worse, housekeeping skipped cleaning my room entirely on one of the days, which added to the frustration. When I brought up these issues, the staff’s apathetic attitude was shocking, and there was no attempt to resolve the situation or acknowledge the inconvenience. As a loyal Hilton guest, this experience fell far below the standard I’ve come to expect. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone seeking a comfortable or well-managed stay.

This hotel has the worst service I've ever experienced -- particularly at the rooftop. Took forever to get a drink, and then forever to check out. Staff often ignored us.

Everything! Property is absolutely beautiful, the staff could not do enough, and the views from the rooftop pool was gorgeous! Santiago and Dylan went out of their way to make sure our stay was fantastic and it definitely was. We will be back!

We had an odd experience at this hotel. We booked a 2 night stay, and the second day we returned to our hotel room to be locked out, and once let in, all our belongings were gone, all our food and drinks in the fridge emptied. They mistakenly thought we overstated our checkout and took all our things out. Upon getting our things back, including a large tote and wallet, we had a large sun of cash missing. Sadly because it was cash there was nothing we could do to prove it, and the front desk never followed up with us and we did not get reimbursed in any way for our loss. Sadly it would not have happened if they had not mistakenly taken all our things prior to our second night stay. I thought they should have tried to offer something for their mistake which resulted in us getting our cash taken while our stuff was being held and in non secure area.

The hotel was very accommodating and everybody was extremely nice and personable. I want to put a special thanks to Bernie at the front desk for making my 20th year anniversary with my wife very special and we will definitely be recommending this hotel for any of our friends that are staying in West Palm Beach. Excellent location and great amenities and restaurants bars.

We had a good stay. The only negative is that it was very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. We wanted to order some food at Banter and they would not answer the phone. We called the front desk and he transferred the call and they still did not answer.

This hotel has really gone downhill in recent years. The property looks dirty, and the staff—especially the manager, Jasen, was very rude. The neighbors next door started partying at 3 AM and didn’t stop until 7 AM, so it was a sleepless night. When I called the front desk to complain, manager Jasen told me, “Don’t come next time.” I’ve never heard anything like that from hotel staff before. On top of that, they don’t provide synthetic bedding and offer no services in the evening. The hotel feels more like a party house, with noise and disturbances all night long. I will definitely choose a different hotel next time I’m in this city.

The check in staff was really courteous, friendly and helpful. The immediately sent up the extra pillows we requested. The rooms are spacious, I liked the industrial decor and the large bathroom. The room was outfitted with in room coffee and an empty fridge for leftovers or drinks. There were plenty of outlets but no speaker. No in room bar or snacks but did have an empty water carafe to fill at the ice station which we loved so we didn’t have to pay $5 for a small bottle of water. The pool area was small with a few chairs and a few loungers. They also had a seating area with couches and a few basic cabanas for rent. The pool had a great view and the pool and hot tub were very nice. I’m Not sure if they were extra busy due to Mother’s Day weekend but the staff was not sufficient for the number of guests they had. The drinks and food took an extraordinary long time to be delivered. Of note, there is a $45 a day valet fee which fortunately I saved due to a friends spot in a nearby building but that fee is kinda a bummer. In the future, I think I’ll take the brightline up and save the parking fee. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown WPB and you are within walking distance to everywhere downtown. There is also a free/low cost shuttle downtown that will pick you up and take you anywhere in the downtown vicinity and even to the island. Overall a wonderful stay and would stay at Canopy by Hilton again as it was a great value for the money.

The Canopy is beautiful! We had a wonderful time! We got off the Brightline train and walked just a few nice blocks to check in. They held our luggage since we were early and we explored City place on bikes for lunch and shopping. When we came back to check in, they had already put our luggage in our room... nice touch. The room was large and clean and super comfortable with a great view of the city. We enjoyed the rooftop pool which has a connected restaurant and bar. The walkway around the pool is narrow, but the seating was adequate. There is a view of the ocean in the distance on one side. The Service was 7 out of 10. I only say that because we had to ask 4 times for pool towels. We ate breakfast in the downstairs restaurant, that is created to be like underground, like under a huge tree, in a cool way. Food was delicious and they had healthy options. We always look for Canopy hotels wherever we travel.

The hotel was a beautiful hotel that is centrally located for easy access to many restaurants and shops. We had to notify maintenance about our outlets and USB ports were not working. The issue of the outlets were fixed, but not the USB ports. The front desk was able to provide us a box in order for us to charge our phones.

Beautiful, clean property & that also goes for the rooms! We were very pleased with our stay from the valets, to the lobby staff & both restaurant’s staff - very professional, everyone had great customer service! We had 3 meals there (2 at Treehouse & 1 at Banter) and ALL of our food and drinks were fantastic! My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Canopy & the next time we’re in town, they will definitely be our go to hotel - thank you for a great experience and we look forward to coming back!

We booked for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and our stay was top shelf. Hotel is classy with a contemporary, green vibe. Loved the bar and well made drinks at happy hour. Breakfast was expensive. The Treetop and roof pool area was inviting and even though we were here in July there's a nice breeze with comfy shaded cabanas. The staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

There no service at all on Sunday afternoon, no bar, no restaurant no nothing. You do not have bottles of water in the room for free. You have to ask the front desk for water and they give you a small bottle. I won’t stay here again

The location is a bit odd but the hotel is lovely. Very industrial feel with a terrific roof top pool. The people were friendly and helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were good but slow. In fact the bar service was slow too, but its Florida.

The hotel was clean, and it’s located in a great location in the heart of downtown Palm beach. The rooms are clean, great pool with a view over the city. The parking situation is not convenient, you have to pay a daily fee to park or park nearly two blocks away for a small fee. Although the concierge was helpful and professional, I can’t say the same for the restaurant workers there. I was charged twice for the wrong amount by the restaurant in the lobby and the one in the rooftop by the pool.
