The hotel is quite new, just 4 year old, and it is in an excellent state of repair/decoration. It is located on a service area off the A30 to the south of Bodmin and has excellent road links to local services, bars, restaurants etc. We are a 3 person family (Mum, Dad and young son) and with the fold out sleeper, the room was quite cramped. Not a sound from the A30, the insulation is really efficient, and there is an electrical car charging station next to the hotel.

We booked this hotel simply because it seemed an OK generic hotel on the way to our destination but we liked it so much that we ended up extending our stay! The location is just off a major roadway and being incorporated into a major services meant that petrol and food were just a stroll away. The room itself impressed me with its plentiful and well-located plug sockets with USB ports. Windows gave us views of my parked car (I'm paranoid about people hitting my car whilst parked) and lovely rolling hills on the other side of the hotel. The decoration was modern and soothing. Just what you need after a long day out. Staff were kind and friendly. Special thanks to Katy and Chloe who were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable and filling and the dining area was never crowded. There were always fresh croissants with Nutella (OMG my favorite) to be had. Yum.

Stayed for three days and had a few days of golf, the hotel was perfect for a stay in Cornwall and was in a great location for touring Cornwall. The MC Donald's on site was handy for a late snack 😋

This is a lovely hotel, we would highly recommend it. The hotel and all areas are spotlessly clean. The staff are so friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. This is our second stay within 2 months, and when we are in Cornwall we would always choose to stay here.

This is a lovely clean and modern hotel. Although very near to the busy A30, the sound insulation is first rate and you cannot hear the road noise at all. The room was clean and bright. The open plan restaurant area is spacious and modern. The breakfast was very good, laid out in a buffet arrangement with replenished dishes regularly provided. Staff are helpful and pleasant.

Great hotel wirh lovely staff. The only issue I have is that the rooms are far too hot. Temperature can be turned dien by staff to 18 degrees which feels like 30 degrees centrigrade in the room. No air conditioning! I was boiling hot all night and the room was airless.

We had an excellent stay, Donna the receptionists who checked us in was so very polite and helpful, nothing was to much trouble, she helped to save us money on the entrance to Eden Project. Breakfast was plentiful and hot. Very pleasant experience all round

This place was wonderful for our needs. Seemed centrally located to tour places in Cornwall and very comfortable to come home to. Having the little mall next door with McDonalds and Subway and other things made it perfect for us as Americans. The front desk people were all wonderful too. Would stay again!

The hotel was everything that you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express and more. Great size rooms, comfy beds and excellent service from all staff at the reception desk, as well as at breakfast the next morning. The choices at breakfast were more than sufficient with a great variety of options and they even made vegetarian sausages especially for us. Would definitely come back and stay again.

Wecreally enjoyed our stay.The staff were friendly and helpful.We brought our dog with us and everyone was attentive and kind to her. The room was clean and offered everything we needed. The included breatfast was good with lots of variety and the evening meal was fine but perhaps it could have been a little hotter. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely use the Holiday Inn Express, Victoria Cornwall again
