Sky Hostel Helsinki

The room is clean and big enough for two people. The bathroom is clean and bright. The kitchen is big and have all the essentials.

Clean comfortable room. Shower, although shared, was excellent. Quiet. Decent bed. Downside, too many broken things. Blinds, handles on toilet doors, sinks. I opened what I thought was a wardrobe, it was a cupboard with a fridge, kettle and microwave. I wish that I had known that they were there, may have missed it somewhere.

The best thing was the location. It was great to be so high and have a nice wiev over the City. Also it was near the metro. The bad thing was that there were never any staff at place. There were no toiletpaper in the toilet and no soap either. I never saw any possibility to coock food either. So I will give it 7 out of 10 points in general.

Ich fände das Hostel an sich relativ gut, Zimmer waren ordentlich und Toiletten waren sauber. Eine Sache für die ich einen Stern abziehen ist, das in der Küche leider kein halbwegs ordentliches Besteck da war. An 5 Tagen habe ich gekocht. Und 5 mal habe ich leider keine Gabel oder auch kein löffel. Der Rest war sehr angenehm. Und auch mit dem Check in hat alles super funktioniert da man einen Code bekommen hat.

The kitchen is not welcoming, no pans for cooking. I didn't cook anything during my days of staying. But the location is really close to the food market which is convenient to dine out.

Enekelt att ta sig dit från stadskärnan. Möjlighet att laga mat fanns också. Toaletter var uppdelade herr/dam och fanns även handikapp-anpassat badrum, jättebra. Kan verkligen rekommendera det här boendet, verkligen prisvärt.

Was a lovely hostel, close to the city centre. Room was nice and the communication from the staff was great (i made a noise complaint and they sorted it). The shower and toilet facilities were good, but the urinals were blocked off and then a resident broke the toilet seat which remained broken until the next day. But other than that it was clean and perfect for what i needed and had a great kitchen to use.

Ostello tranquillo, facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici. Spartano, consigliato per chi cerca solo un posto letto per la notte. Munito di frigo e piccola cucina. Bagno e doccia esterni.

Meget upersonligt, nedslidt og med mange små irriterende mangler . Intet spejl på værelset, lyset virkede ikke på toilet, døren til toilet kunne ikke låses, ingen affaldsspand i baderum, ingen skraber til vand i baderum. Stedet er ikke socialt da der ikke er et reelt opholdsrum, eller spiserum. Værelset ok, value for money ? Måske...

La habitación muy limpia. Son dos camas, con una mesa, armario, nevera, televisión (no funcionaba). Luego hay baños fuera, creo que 2 para chicos y 2 para chicas. Y duchas, creo que solo una de cada pero no tuve ningún problema. También tienes cocina comunitaria, más o menos limpia pero eso ya es cosa de los huéspedes. Sitio muy tranquilo, bien comunicado. Se puede ir al centro caminando y a la estación de tren también pero tienes un metro bastante cerca, un supermercado... Si vuelvo a Helsinki, repito sin duda!

Not very clean place. Most stuff was worn down and a bit dirty. I know this was a budget accommodation, but for 50€/night I expect that the vacuum clean the floor and clean the windows. The whole place needed repairs and it clearly seen better days. Avoid if possible.

I would love to say that this was a perfect little hostel in a great location. I would love to say it, because the staff / cleaners that I met were absolutely awesome; very friendly, flexible, generous etc. Especially as I was little late with my check-out, they waited for me patiently and said that there is no rush at all :) However, the milieu itself is outside rough and spooky - inside it is an old and gloomy office building. The most unfortunate thing was the dirt all over the place in the room; it was very dusty, the corners were filled with grey dust and both beds were covered with black hair. Thus, although I stayed alone I had to open up both beds in order to see which one would be better/cleaner for sleeping. The floor was also dirty, and it felt awekward to walk on it with socks only. That was nasty. The walls are very thin, too, so I could hear someone snoor... Some positive things: I was happily surprised of the coffee maker, microwave and (clean!) tableware in the room, which made it possible to have a morning coffee and porridge etc. in the room. Also, the common area toilet was clean and tidy enough, which was nice, and the common areas + corridors had been made as comfortable as possible. So yes, some effort had been done! Also the location, sure, it not too shabby...

Extremely dirty, window could not be closed due to broken handle and it was Extremely noisy outside. Room stinks

It was quite tidy and everything worked well. I found it a bit too pricey for what you get.

The hostel itself was actually fairly nice, but there was hair all over the sheets so it clearly hadn't been changed giving it a uncomfortable and grubby feel

Non sembrava nemmeno un ostello. Molto pulito, silenzioso e comodo. In camera c'era anche un mini frigorifero, un microonde, un televisore e una macchina del caffè. L'accesso autonomo alla struttura è stato molto semplice e lo staff ha inviato le indicazioni con tempismo. Molto soddisfatto

フロントはありませんが、ホテルに入るためと個室に入るための暗証番号が宿泊開始日にメールとSMSで送られてきます。 場所は団地の一角のビルの11階にあり、若干分かり難いので、たどり着くには地図アプリ等が必要になるかと思います。 メトロやトラムの駅からは徒歩10分くらいで、利便性は普通です。 部屋は非常に清潔で申し分ありません。宿泊中は部屋の中の清掃はありません。 共用トイレやシャワーも、とても綺麗に維持されています。

5月に宿泊しました。ベッドは小さいですが、日本人なら大丈夫かなと。コンセントはCタイプのみ。シャワーの水圧やお湯もしっかり出ました。トイレもシャワー室も使う人によって変わるかもしれませんが、私が宿泊した時は問題ありませんでした。バスタオルがついていました。歩いて10分ほどの範囲にスーパーが何軒か、地下鉄、バス停があります。 違う部屋の人のドアの開け閉めの音は気になりますが、それ以外はさほど気になりません。プライバシーが守れてこの値段は安いかなと思います。マンションの周りも静かです。

Eine Möglichkeit die Fenster zu öffnen wäre gerade im Sommer sehr wichtig, oder zumindest eine anderweitige Abkühlung.

Ottima posizione in città, sicuramente un ostello ottimo se c'è una permanenza breve, la stanza era piccola ma pulita

The bed was terrible, i didnt sleep all night :( Checking in and the actual vibe was great though. Just sucks that i could not sleep at all due to the bed, and the noise outside & buzzing fridge

Overall was ok stay, doesn’t feel like a hostel as there’s no social life or a place to do anything in the hostel at all, beds were small, no activities organized by the hostel management in order to make it feels like a hostel.

No living plants. Loud with open window, hot with closed window. Noisy refrigerator.

Paid for a Seaview room but was not given it. Wasn't very clean

This place is very modest, fits when you just need a short sleep with low budget. Instructions with codes are sent by e-mail, but somehow the codes at front door did not passed several times. Same code for room worked well, though. Low comfort, lousy pillow, but at least quiet room

Tuve que pedir cambio de habitación porque no me la dieron con vistas al mar, como había pagado en la reserva. Y lo tuve que hacer por mensaje por mail porque no hay una recepción "Humana". Pero a pesar de ello, a la mañana siguiente me cambiaron la habitación, lo cual estuvo bien. Lo malo es que no me dijeron nada con antelación de que mi habitación no era la que había pagado. Es decir, que si no hubiera reclamado la misma noche de mi llegada a pesar del cansancio del viaje, no me hubieran dado la habitación con vistas al mar que había pagado.

困ったことがあって連絡をすると、すぐに返信をくれて、とても安心できた。 清掃も行き届いている。 壁はとても薄いので、隣の人が良識的かどうかで、快適さがすごく変わる。最終日は夜中まで隣の人の会話の声が大きすぎた。 でも、ハカニエミ駅すぐという立地、スタッフの返信の親切さ、清潔さが良かったので、安く泊まれて良かった。

Det var fryktelig vanskelig å finne frem for jeg hadde ikke fått sms med informasjon og inngangskode. Heldigvis var de raske å ta telefonen og fikk sendt det jeg trengte. Var visst en feil i mobilnr. jeg ga. Ellers var rommet som forventet til den prisen, men det hadde absolutt trengt en ordentlig rundvask. Mye flekker på tak og vegger og mye skitt rundt kjøleskapet. Ene persiennen var ødelagt så det slapp inn mye lys. Sto også en ødelagt stol på rommet av en eller annen grunn. Fant svarte lange hårstrå rundt omkring. Ellers var fellesdoen og dusjen rene og greie, dog litt slitt. Området rundt er greit og det er kort vei til sentrum både til fots og me kollektivtransport.

The address given in the booking and confimation email is almost impossible to find. No buildings have numbers and there are very few street names. The area is deserted on a Sunday evening. After a long and stressful search I finally found someone to advise me. The entrance is in a *different street* to that indicated by Google maps.

for finland cheap, very central, you get what you pay :-)

Stayed for 3 nights and found it to be a good basic hostel. Value for money with a decent location.

The property is located very near to Merihaka Bus Stop in the Kallio district. Bus 16 and 55 goes directly from the Helsinki Central Station. The property entrance was bit difficult to find as it is on 11th floor of an office tower. And there were so many doors and entrances with Keycode locks that we got confused. Moreover, the phone was not reachable. So we struggled a bit but finally could make out by ourselves only. One needs to climb the stairs to 1st floor and then get into a building (tower) by the name of Meritorni. The room is very small with a refrigerator, kettle 2 cups and 2 plates and some cutleries. The room looks a bit old but was clean and well organized. The view from the room is pretty amazing. You can see the whole of Helsinki from different sides of the hostel. The toilets are shared but very clean and tidy. Wifi was good. There is a K Supermarket, Pharmacy and a restaurant (Merihaka Ravintola) in vicinity for quick food. The best part we liked was the early checkin possibility from the staffs. The room was ready to be checked in at 7 am for us. That was very kind of them.

窓が簡単に開けられる作りになっていない為、室内が非常に暑い。 しかも窓が壊れている。 景色を楽しみたいが窓ガラスが汚れていて、景色を楽しむ事が出来ない。 清掃スタッフは頻繁に清掃に来ているので衛生面には安心感がある。 一階のレストランが既に経営していないのか、いつも開いていない。 食事面で頼りにしていた分、残念。
