We loved our stay at the Astoria Vico. We arrived an hour early so went to explore and came back to find our cases already in our room. We looked out onto the main road so there was a certain degree of noise from the traffic if the window was open. It wasn’t enough to disrupt our sleep though and was more than worth it for the amazing view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The room itself was clean, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. There were a few cracks and chips if you looked for them but that’s to be expected from an old building. The staff were fantastic. We always got a warm welcome whenever we arrived back at night. A special mention needs to go to Luigi who always gave us a huge smile at breakfast every morning! Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from each day and the dining room was lovely and modern. The location of the hotel is perfect - a short walk takes you to the town centre where there are several nice restaurants, and a 30 second walk takes you to the train station where you’re only 5 stops away from Sorrento. The beach club linked to the hotel is a bit of a downhill trek but lovely when you get there. We’re glad we chose the calm of Vico Equense to come back to every night. We would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of a stay on the Sorrento coast and we would love to return ourselves one day.

Clean, beautiful and not crowded!! Staff were wonderful. It’s a thirty second walk from the train station and from here you can enjoy Sorrento, Naples, Pompei and so much more. We loved that it wasn’t touristy. After coming from Rome we needed a break. Beach club was incredible. You can swim in the ocean. It’s spectacular. Do not hesitate to book here if you’re looking to explore Amalfi.

Nice hotel,friendly stuff, clean rooms. If you are with a car know that the parking is about 6-7 minutes by walk(with charge). No elevators at all. We spent the night in a back room but we still heard the noise from the Main Street. The breakfast wasn’t good. The bread was old and felt like is from days ago and the coffee was worse-the worst one that I drink in years,very disappointing to drink this awful coffee in Italy

This hotel was perfect for us! With my rental car, I was concerned about driving in the area because of reports of horrible traffic, the ZTL limitations and parking challenges. What I loved about the location of the hitel, was that it I was able to Park my car easily (10 euro/day), the hotel is directly beside the train station (12 minutes to Sorrento), the hotel is more affordable than other areas, it has it's own amazing restaurant and the town itself is adorable! The hotel was immaculate, and the breakfast excellent. It was pretty much perfect.

Very clean place, great views, excellent breakfast and the view from there, very nice staff, train station one block away allows you to visit places like Sorrento, Pompei, Naples, within half hour. Only drawback is that downtown, 5 blocks away is small and there are not many places to eat around, you need to travel to Sorrento for many more options.

Walking distance to wonderful restaurants. The whole staff at the hotel were fantastic, very friendly and looked after us very well. The rooms seem to be recently renovated, spacious and comfortable. The staff is super nice and very helpful. The breakfast was pretty good as well. The hotel is just a 2 minute walk from the station. The only complaint was the wifi was really weak and spotty. Overall, very happy with the hotel.

Personale cordiale, super disponibile e pronto a soddisfare le nostre richieste. La posizione dell'albergo è eccezionale: camere con vista mare e comodissimo alla stazione della Circumvesuviana. Le camere sono tutte al primo piano, anche se vicine alla strada hanno un buon isolamento da rumori. Così non è invece per l'isolamento tra le camere stesse: i muri sono molto sottili e poco insonorizzate. Arredo e struttura interna abbastanza datata, l'ingresso dell'albergo invece è appena stato ristrutturato, bello. Colazione da migliorare, abbastanza scarsa. Pulizia ottima!

A escolha do hotel Vico Astoria em Vico Equense não poderia ter sido mais acertada. O quarto ficava com vista para o Vesúvio e do lado da estação de trem, de onde saíamos rapidamente todas as manhãs para explorar a Costa Almafitana. Apesar disso era bem silencioso e confortável. Próximos ao hotel havia várias restaurantes, supermercados e toda a estrutura necessária. Agora o destaque foi a equipe do hotel, sempre muito prestativa, e que vale mencionar a Chiara que nos recepcionou e fez a reserva de nosso jantar na primeira noite com muita gentileza, o Luigi que nos atendeu nos cafés da manhã (muito bons por sinal) sempre muito cordial e especialmente ao Antonio que nos deu um suporte sem igual, nos ajudando em todas as nossas dúvidas e necessidades. Pra finalizar, eles tem um panfleto muito útil sobre os horários de trens e transporte de ferrys para Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano, etc., que foi companheiro da nossa viajem o tempo todo para nos orientarmos. Enfim, já deixou saudades e voltariamos com certeza.

The staff, especially Flora and Flavia, were so helpful. The cleaning staff were friendly and efficient. The free breakfast AMAZING. We checked out earlt morning and they offered to pack us food! The VIEW of the bay and Mt. Vesuvius is so calming. There is a shared open-air balcony that is big and inviting where we met other travelers. Such a great place.

This is a wonderful small hotel. With stunning views over the bay, and Mount Vesuvius. From check-in to check-out the staff could not have been more helpful. Our rooms were ready when we arrived at around midday, although we were expecting them to be available from 2.00-3.00 pm. Everything was clean and fresh. The breakfast Buffet had a great variety of savory and sweet options, they even made us a packed lunch at not extra cost when we were leaving before breakfast started. They offered information about trains, the station was less then a 2 minute walk away, trips and restaurants. A fabulous little gem, in a fantastic location for transport links, hospitality and cleanliness. Would highly recommend.

The customer service at this hotel was excellent. We chose this town because it has the bus stop and train stop literally right next-door for trips to amalfi and capri and Sorrento etc. we had to pay a toll fine and the girls at the front desk took care of all of it for us! Wonderful staff. Nice breakfast at the attached restaurant. Can’t beat location. Felt absolutely safe. I ran early morning hours!

This is a family run hotel. They are so helpful and keen to make your holiday a success. It is in a great location near to the train and bus station. We had lovely rooms with wonderful views of Vesuvius. The breakfast was very good and the service excellent. Vico Equense is much quieter and more ‘Italian’ than Sorrento. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Terrible experience! Hotel was very difficult to find because of bad signage. Parking was very difficult with a steep rocky hill to climb with no one to help you with your bags. Location was noisy, congested and smelly of fumes being next to the bus/ train station. Hotel was overpriced for what it was and we will definitely not be back

We stayed at Astoria Vico for 2 nights, we wish it was more! The breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Service was top notch, everyone was super helpful. We had a beautiful sea view room. Nothing could have beat that view! Vico Equense is a beautiful town, and we loved the quiet lifestyle there. Just a 12 minute ride to Sorrento to explore for the day. We highly recommend staying at Astoria Vico to avoid the Amalfi coast crowds, and enjoy the beauty of Vico Equense.

This property offered a breathtaking view and a lovely experience in a small Italian town. Access to the train was just steps away and the town offered so many amenities, dining options and lovely walking paths. The staff went out of their way to take care of us and even took the time to prepare take away packages including breakfast, light sandwich and fruit on two separate days because our tour left before breakfast opened for guests. Would highly recommend this hotel if visiting the Amalfi coast.
