Was a well presented and very calm and quiet place. The rooms were very spacious and modern. Comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent and friendly. Parking easy. Would recommend a sign on the outside fence to locate it.

Stayed 3 nights

There were some good things and some not so good things about our stay. Good things were the size of the room, breakfast, hot showers, good quiet location. Not so good was the lack lustre welcome when we arrived and an almost dismissive attitude of the staff making you feel uncomfortable and that you were more of an inconvenience than a paying guest (except for the lady who served breakfast on Monday and Tuesday). The bed was uncomfortable with awful flat hard pillows. Whilst the room was generally clean there was a lack of attention to detail like cleaning the mirror on the wardrobe. The bathroom is a little tired. At breakfast there were dirty bowls for the cereal. The room could have done with a chest of drawers to put underwear and folded items with toiletries on top. Instead we had to live out of our suitcases a bit. The bath towels smelt of cooked food. The fire doors need oiling as they squeak terribly which woke me when my husband got up in the night. The booklet is out of date with a lot of the restaurants cafes etc permanently closed. We have stayed in boutique B&Bs before and sadly this was not the best
