Nice quiet back water. Excellent breakfast. Many parts of the property original 1670 such as the fire place.

An extraordinary place. Outstandingly beautiful position under Barf Fell, and with further beautiful walk ( less than ten minutes) down to the shores of Bassenthwaite lake. This bnb is a place of balm to the soul! Your wonderful hostess has made a habit of rescuing chickens; (fresh eggs on the table every morning), dogs; and restoring the crockery decorating this charming, characterful house which goes back many centuries. Sitting at your window seat overlooking the glorious garden and on to the lake, and eating the baking provided daily, you may want to stay forever. Less than ten minutes into Keswick, though. And a hostess who will respect your privacy, but is also superbly warm. My second visit, and I will be back.

This is a beautiful and cozy house, aged but well maintained. The host is really kind and nice. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, breakfast is fantastic. Kids love to play with the dog. Everything is wonderful, highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay and couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. Karen was such a lovely host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The property has a wonderful old-world charm that creates a truly comforting and relaxing atmosphere. The views are absolutely amazing, and the beautiful garden is the perfect place to unwind and take in the surroundings. Breakfast was a real highlight – a delicious home-cooked feast! And the wonderful homemade biscuits on arrival were a lovely surprise! Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling refreshed and well looked after. We're already looking at dates for our return visit and can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Wow! Can't say enough about this b&b, owner was welcoming even sorted some cakes and milk. The property is amazing full of character and wonky floors (proper old 😂) breakfast was fantastic, many thanks would definitely return if passing.
