Pool was closed, the WiFi only worked in the lobby, I found a cockroach in my room the first night and a bedbug in my room the second night. Breakfast was subpar. As I write this, I am working on deep cleaning all of my laundry because I found bug bites that weren’t there before my trip. Incredibly noisy and the night desk attendant wasn’t great either. Stay anywhere else.

The staff was awesome and very friendly, The room was clean but very outdated. The door on the outside was really dirty and the trim was rotten and needs replaced, The pool was so dirty and I would not get in it. I told the staff but nothing was done about the pool and that was the only reason I stayed there was for the pool. Will I ever stay there again No. It looks nothing like the pictures.

It was adequate for our one night stop over with dogs, but wouldnt be my choice for a vacation. Nothing spectacular but nothing disgusting either. Bathroom walls and ceiling needed scrubbing and painting. No light in the sink area.no coffee pot in room. Nice woman at front desk. Nice outdoor pool with some well manicured grassy areas with rose bushes.

Right off of the Turnpike so very convenient. Free continental breakfast and WiFi. Refrigerator and safe in room. Not fancy but a good value for a quick stay. Plenty of parking for large vehicles with a trailer. Friendly staff.

The Pool was closed, The hotel was run down. The breakfast bar was barley anything. There were dogs barking all night and all day next to my room. The staff was pleasant but over all I will not stay at this hotel again. It needs to be updated.

The motel was reasonably priced for a Saturday in the summer. The property had a nice pool. The single room was very spacious, but could use better lighting. It was definitely a smoking room back in the day, and the smell still lingers. A tough smell to rid of. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Dingy room, funny smell, cigarette burn holes in sheets, heater could not keep up with cold outside, big gaps under door. You get the idea. Staff was very pleasant though and the big parking lot was great as we had two trucks and trailers.

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. The stairs leading up to the rooms were filthy, and once inside, I found the bedspread, sheets (including what appeared to be blood stains), and towels to be dirty. There were also large, clearly visible stains on the chair, which further contributed to the overall sense of uncleanliness. This was absolutely unacceptable. I reported these issues to the front desk. While they did replace the towels, they informed me that the hotel was fully booked. Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any hotel stay, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet that standard. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

The moment I opened the door to the room, things were bad. Lights didn’t work by the door. The bed was extremely concave. The room was dirty in general. The final straw was all the bug crawling along and under the baseboards. I asked for a refund, but they refused. I slept in my car.

Room not cleaned after first night. Some lights not working. Someone else’s food in refrigerator! Coffee packet opened. I requested clean up first evening, still not cleaned. Second night they moved me to another room. One light out there and door would not open or close unless forced.

Pool area was very nice. Inside the sides of both mattresses had blood/vomit/feces on them. It was noticed because the fitted sheet was not on the corner correctly. Some of the pillows were dirty. The place was probably beautiful when it was built, now its old and run down.

This place needs some love and attention, not to mention better cleaning. There were trash cans outside of the ice vending area that were overflowing. The ice vending didn't look like somewhere I want to get ice. Our shower floor was absolutely filthy black. It would simply take one scrub of cleanser to remove that. The breakfast was very limited. There were only 4 muffins, a broken juice machine, some cereal, and yogurt (that other guest had opened for whatever reason to inspect....that housekeeping should have caught and tossed). We had an issue with our key and the lady in the room next to us told me it was always an issue for my door. That indicates a hotel where some people are long term residents. I've never had a good experience in those situations. It may explain why people were up all hours of the night making noise. The staff were friendly but overall, I can't recommend this place.

I was not expecting luxury when booking at Sprucewood, due to the affordable price. But I expected clean at least. The whole room was poorly maintained. Sheets had hair on them, lamp shades were broken and dirty. The room reeked of cigarettes and the walls and ceiling were yellow, even though it was a non-smoking room.

The guy checking us in was super friendly. The room was fairly clean. The spring bed was kinda uncomfortable but I’m used to a memory foam. The hot water was amazing. There were some dirty parts; behind the bedside tables especially. It was super busy so it was quiet. Price was great.

This property is a little older, but it was spotlessly clean! Yes there was some dried paint splatters on the sink and tub. However, there was no dirt/dust piled up in the corners. Even the exhaust vent in restroom was clean. The bed was comfortable. I saw several reviews about the breakfast not being much. However I found it more than adequate. Coffee, tea and juice. Oatmeal, cereals, pastries. Yogurt. Bagels, several breads for toast. Selection of jams/jellies, cream cheese. Pancakes. What more could you want. The last 2 times I booked online at other "branded" and way more expensive hotels, the rooms were grossly dirty (hence reading reviews now). I was very pleased with our 2 day stay. The price nor cleanliness can't be beat. Will definitely be staying here every time we visit our family in the area.

Out of all my traveling and hotel experience, this was by far one of the worst experiences ive had. The staff is not informative, i called 3 times before i arrived and after booking two non refundable i was hit with two 100 dollar deposits. Also when i arrived they did not give me a map or specific instructions on where to find my room and also didnt inform me about rules, pool, hours, breakfast time; only information give were reasons why i wouldnt receive my deposit back

Nice people. Very amicable. They carecabiut their clients. Staff rocks. Sunny is very professional. Very approachable. This team will take care of your stay. At first i wasnt sure of the area. When i stopped i as to see the room and they kindly took ne to see it and i loved it. This is mot luxurious but you get a safe clean, room. A continental breafast with the nicest attention from staff. I asked for different request and all well honored. Thank you staff.

Went to check in. Had 2 rooms reserved and the email to prove it. Drove 15 hrs just to get to the hotel and the lady tell me she only has me down for 1 room and wont give me 2 rooms even though ive got the email to prove my reservation. Extremely rude. We ended up leaving and finding another hotel at 2am

I interacted with evening check in person, cleaning staff, morning check out person. The Staff was EXCELLENT!! The room was pretty outdated. Cigarette burn on bedspread, fridge had old food in it, lighting was very poor, electric items had to be plugged in, some outlets were “iffy”, curtains closed but allowed massive light in, bedding very wrinkled and barely fit the bed, carpet very worn & ripped in places, a little trash left in and under things, small bug on bathroom floor. THE GOOD: bathroom and sink area well lighted and clean. Personal Safe available. Bed comfy, bedding appeared clean. Breakfast was good. Staff VERY accommodating and helpful, above & beyond!!! Easy access to interstate. Extras: cute black kitty catching bugs in the moonlight in the grass. Spruce wood Inn was minimal satisfactory for one overnight stay. I would not want to stay an extended time.

Great staff! It is comfortable and inexpensive. Not all of the lamps work, but the beds and pillows are comfy. Breakfast is minimal, but good for something quick. We have stayed here multiple times. It is perfect if you have realistic motel expectations.

Desk clerks were nice. Had a nice bathroom mirror and shower was okay. Toilet seat was loose and we had to tighten it. Door to get in was awful and you couldn’t hardly open it. Window had a big crack, pool was closed, beds and pillows were okay but not the most comfortable. Breakfast was all carbs- pancakes, toast bagels, cereal and muffins. Not even peanut butter. Did have some apples.
