Sausage was not cooked still half of it was raw.pancakes nice.Shower in room didn’t work properly.Not enough staff on the Saturday night for our Xmas party,but in all fairness they did have a wedding in the function room.

Do take it to heart that the owners say there will be bar noise for awhile. We were quite jet-lagged so it didn’t stop the sleep but it was definitely noticeable that people were having a great time! Dinner was fabulous but do make reservations!

Super friendly and helpful staff . Property is a little tired in places . Could do with sound insulation between rooms very noisy plumbing between rooms) and floors! Especially when a function is on! Having said that our room was lovely and clean with heaps of room , very handy for trip into Southampton for the boat show. Lovely breakfast too!

Everything was great. Right from parking in the spacious car park to the welcome within. Room was spotless & comfortable. My dog was with me & made welcome too. He was even provided with pack of goodies and dog toys. Above and beyond. The evening meals were also delicious, with lovely presentation. Staff were all so kind and friendly. Great spot for access to the New Forest. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel building is attractive and inviting. The bar area is large and comfortable. The inter a hotel spaces are a little tired, and my room was clean and functional, but the bed was very hard.

Super comfy bed, super friendly staff, some real lovely touches in the room and an evening meal and breakfast that was perfection on a plate. Very dog friendly, In fact I had trouble getting my dog into the car on departure because he didn't want to leave. I would definitely stay again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend The Mortimer Arms too.

Lovely old-style hotel with easy access to Beaulieu (20min). Helpful staff. Lovely room with view over the parking lot to keep an eye on my classic car. Convenient bar/restaurant, but with bland, forgettable food.

Modernized Pub B&B. Very clean room and good breakfast. Dining room has good food selection and quality

Fantastic hotel and restaurant with clean, modern rooms. Great choice of meals and breakfast choices cooked and continental breakfast. Friendly staff.

Drain issue in shower and basin reported. Excellent dinner. 'steak Wednesday' = 1/2 price mains.

Went in and met the host check in was not to bad . The room was nice and clean. The meals were the best thing about my stay . They looked amazing. Would definitely recommend it

We had an amazing time at the Mortimer Arms and cannot recommend highly enough. It is ideally situated to explore both the New Forest and Portsmouth area and not only comfortable but also great value for money. The property is being updated by its new owner Michael and judging by what has been done so far we've no doubt all will be very impressive once completed. Whilst improvements are ongoing we were totally unaware of anything being done during our stay. The decor in the restaurant was very tastefully done and our room was stunning (they have a great eye for detail) and immaculately clean. The food was varied and to a high standard. We stayed 4 nights and had all our meals there and enjoyed every dish. The restaurant can get busy, particulary when the nearby Paultons Park closes and this understandably can impact a little on service time but did not have a huge impact on us and the restaurant was considerably quieter after 7pm. Michael and all his staff are wonderful, very attentive, helpful and friendly and we can't thank them enough.We would however like to give a special mention to Adam who couldn't do enough for us and to Megan for her attention on the Monday evening. A huge 'Thank you' to Michael who really did go above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with everything and was great at giving help and guidance on the area. We will definately be back to explore this beautiful area later in the year and this will be our choice of stay.

Lovely room and a very comfortable stay

Room was clean, we were in room 8 which overlooks a courtyard and the light in the courtyard is very bright and stays on all day and night, the curtains are good but there is light all around them like it is morning outside. Breakfast was very good and morning service very friendly.

The room was comfortable and spacious but i could hear the phone conversation of the woman in the next room word for word. Noise from bar below but all was quiet during sleep time. Had dinner here and it was good.

Room was very warm, no fan and windows disnt help. Food was lovely and staff helpful

Great deal in last minute booking, although double could not be provided only twin room. Food and staff were great. Room tired but renovations taking place. Main problem was how cold the place was - both the room and lounge were freezing.

Convenient, breakfast was good and drinks a reasonable price. It is an old building so does not have much sound insulation and un level floors

Good stay, room was clean, good breakfast. Bed a little uncomfortable could feel a spring.

Room was large with a seating area but furniture minimal and tired.

Excellent staff, excellent accommodation, we couldn’t ask for better. The full English is fantastic.

Needed to request an additional heater in the room but saying that we requested accessible room and this was the room not allocated to us and they changed it as I have difficulty with stairs. Had they read my request for a downstairs room this would not have happed. This room was not really accessble I could not get into the shower because of the step into it staff were friendly and helpful

When arrived and give room 14, nice size room and clean. Went to bed not to late after nice meal in restaurant (little expensive) Then the troubles start, room above staff quarters- none stop walking around, shower, toilet being flushed and these noises from above. Finally fell asleep only to be woken up at 5:30am with same. Not a good sleep experience!!! Mentioned it to Breakfast staff only to be told, yes staff room above room 14 and you are not the first to complain. NOTHING else done about it - Was going to stay another night but decided not too!!

We spent a wonderful night at the Mortimer arms hotel, and enjoyed a great dinner and bountiful breakfast served by a wonderful staff. The check-in Was effortless and the staff most accommodating. We definitely recommend this hotel as our stay was a wonderful experience.

It was ideal for our two nights en route to Bristol. Nice quiet area. Excellent evening meal

Comfortable stay we were right on top of peppa pig world so great location

Great position for exploring Paultons theme park & the New Forest. Our children & grandchildren stayed in Paultons campsite which was a few minutes away so really handy. They all visited the hotel for a couple of meals & drinks. The staff were all very friendly & welcoming.

Great location to explore the New Forrest and the Dorset Coast. Easy acess to the M27 and M3 back to London. Makes the return journey easier (until.you hit the M25 of course!)

Excellent place to stay. We went to Peppa Pig World for multiple days, and really enjoyed the beatiful and comfortable place to stay. Food was also great. Staff was super friendly. Was our 2nd stay and will come back!

Excellent for the main Southampton to south west A31. Great location right at the gates for Paultons Peppa Pig World. Lovely wholesome food and quiet.
