Just back from a return visit to Moulton Barrett with our kids and dog. We love this place and the addition of the dog exercise area is a huge bonus. Accommodation was spotless, kids had a ball in the neighbouring indoor pool. Hosts are so helpful and informative, the grounds are beautiful and the EV charging onsite is excellent and reliable. Could not ask for more. We love the location of this holiday let, so much to do in close proximity to some great attractions and amenities. Westward Ho!-fabulous beach, Appledore- great for quay jumping and crab fishing, Instow-lovely restaurants. We visited the pop up slip and slide this year too- great family fun only 20mins away. Atlantic villlage just down the road is great for retail bargains and we love the Milk Kiosk. Highly recommend this location for a dog friendly family holiday.

Our family (6) stayed here at the end of the summer holidays. The accomodations is very well located and is 10mins drive to westward ho, appledore and bideford amongst other places. It's only 40min to Ilfracombe and Wolacombe. The grounds are lovely and although we had quite a bit of rain, didn't put us off from exploring. We particularly enjoyed the lake which is on site and naturally the pool and hot tub. The accomodations is spot on, clean and well furnished. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were a few issues with, bulbs not working but the host sorted very quickly and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble. The host was on site to greet us and gave a quick but comprehensive account of everything. The pool planner is spot on and the area is clean and well presented. We would definitely recommend.

A fabulous, modern, smart and comfortable accommodation. The apartment included everything we could possibly need and want. The swimming pool and hot tub was fabulous - felt very spoilt. Beautiful grounds and close to the beech. Highly recommend. A hidden gem.

First visit to Moulton-Barrett and definitely not our last! We booked for a 50th birthday celebration with family from France and had a fantastic week. The house is warm and comfortable with everything you need. Each bedroom having an en suite is great. The pool was a highlight for us all and the rota works really well. Swimming at night with the underwater lights on was lovely. The dog field is a great thing to have on site, our cocker spaniel thought she was a puppy again jumping the hurdles. Cream tea on arrival was a real treat. We all agreed this was the nicest property we have ever stayed at and are already planning when we can come back.

They say, "First Impression's Last", well, from the moment we arrived, everything was simple and straightforward — gaining access to both of our barns (Molesworth and Moulton-Barrett) was effortless. Each barn was exceptional and ideal for our family holiday. We settled in quickly and met Anne-Louise a couple of hours later, she was just so lovely and very informative. The cleanliness of the barns was excellent, every detail had been so carefully thought through, especially in the kitchen, the beds were so comfy and big and having underfloor heating was luxury. We were delighted by the welcome treats too; the scones, jam, and cream, along with the locally sourced milk, were all absolutely superb! The warm pool and hot tub were fantastic additions to our stay. No matter what the weather was doing outside, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves inside. Overall, this place is a real find! Anne-Louise was the perfect host and we'll definitely be back again. Thank you for everything!!

We spent a week here in February halfterm and had a brilliant time. The swimming pool was a huge hit with our three children - designated slits for each barn each day along with extra sessions if wanted. The barn was spacious and having en-suites in all bedrooms was a bonus. The milk-kiosk next door was also a favourite with the children. Despite the winter weather we managed to explore many of the nearby beaches and visited Big Sheep Farm (highly recommended day out for families). Our dog loved the lake and wildlife on site. Communication with the owners was great and all information we needed was provided. Would definitely return and have recommended to other families already.

Our family of 7 over 3 generations reaaly enjoyed our weeks stay at Moulton-Barrett. we all loved the pool espeacially when it was next door to our barn. Very clean, well equipped all of our bedrooms had an ensuite. Charger points for my electric car was a bonus. Charming Hosts.

We had the best time staying in Moulton Barrett Barn. Accommodation was to a very very high standard with three en-suite rooms. Very spacious lounge diner kitchen area overlooking a delightful walled garden with apple trees. The indoor pool was adjacent to our property and was a firm favourite with the kids. The property was dog friendly. Our hosts were fantastic and hugely informative about local amenities, attractions and restaurants. Very grateful for the top tip about quay jumping in nearby Appledore. Such a fantastic location to explore North Devon. Very close to the big Sherp,MilkyWay and North East Devon Wake Boarding centre. Some fantastic beaches nearby and wonderful coastal walks. Already planning our return visit next year.

Absolutely fantastic week, accommodation excellent in every way, spotlessly clean & everything you could ever need for a relaxing holiday, pool was amazing and loved the fact each property had allocated swim times plus there were free swim times on a first come basis. Host was great with lots of recommendations and excellent communication, superb touch the fresh scones, jam, clotted cream & fresh milk in the fridge on arrival, definitely would stay again if planning another break in North Devon

When we arrived I was amazed at how beautiful the place was, it really had the wow factor! There was milk, cream, jam, scones along with tea, coffee, sugar and so many little extras like bathroom hand wash and useful items like foil and cling film. Lots of kitchen utensils and cooking equipment, we really had everything we needed! Loved the slippers in the master bedroom which came in very handy walking from the pool (even though it was literally next door!) the pool was just amazing! Warm and clean as was the hot tub. What made our holiday was having the pool to ourselves due to the schedule which is provided. Our two little dogs had a great time in the huge garden. A wonderful place and I’m sure we will be back.

We had a great time visiting Moulton Barrett. It was very comfortable, dog friendly and perfect location. The barn was clean and special touches like scones, milk, slippers etc was lovely. Dogs were so welcome and there was lots of safe and enclosed space for them. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

Lovely accommodation & location. The North Devon beaches are spectacular & great to find a dog friendly property of such a high standard. Very comfortable mattress, lots of conveniently situated power points for phone charging, and scones, cream & jam as a welcome! Great to have 3 ensuite rooms when staying with adult children & their partners. Swimming pool & hot tub popular with family given some wet days. One of the best self catering properties we have stayed in. Thank you!

Moulton-Barrett is a lovely property, we had a wonderful weeks stay. It’s very spacious and comfortable with everything you could need, a home away from home. We loved having daily access to the pool & hot tub, a lovely way to end our days after long walks on the local beaches. The location is perfect, Aldi & Asda less than 10 minutes away, beautiful beaches within a short drive! The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property for short or long stays.

Myself and 5 friends have just stayed here for the weekend and we had an amazing time. The accommodation was lovely, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were lovely and the whole property was just the right size for us. We loved the pool and hot tub and particularly liked the fact it was joined to our lodge, meant we only had to look outside the door to see if people were in there during the free time sessions. We would love to come back here again. We didn’t have any dogs with us but if you are planning on bringing a dog, the grounds are great for them to have a run around. Amazing stay and Anne-Louise is a fantastic host. Thank you very much for having us

First visit to Moulton-Barrett and definitely not our last! We booked for a 50th birthday celebration with family from France and had a fantastic week. The house is warm and comfortable with everything you need. Each bedroom having an en suite is great. The pool was a highlight for us all and the rota works really well. Swimming at night with the underwater lights on was lovely. The dog field is a great thing to have on site, our cocker spaniel thought she was a puppy again jumping the hurdles. Cream tea on arrival was a real treat. We all agreed this was the nicest property we have ever stayed at and are already planning when we can come back.

They say, "First Impression's Last", well, from the moment we arrived, everything was simple and straightforward — gaining access to both of our barns (Molesworth and Moulton-Barrett) was effortless. Each barn was exceptional and ideal for our family holiday. We settled in quickly and met Anne-Louise a couple of hours later, she was just so lovely and very informative. The cleanliness of the barns was excellent, every detail had been so carefully thought through, especially in the kitchen, the beds were so comfy and big and having underfloor heating was luxury. We were delighted by the welcome treats too; the scones, jam, and cream, along with the locally sourced milk, were all absolutely superb! The warm pool and hot tub were fantastic additions to our stay. No matter what the weather was doing outside, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves inside. Overall, this place is a real find! Anne-Louise was the perfect host and we'll definitely be back again. Thank you for everything!!

We spent a week here in February halfterm and had a brilliant time. The swimming pool was a huge hit with our three children - designated slits for each barn each day along with extra sessions if wanted. The barn was spacious and having en-suites in all bedrooms was a bonus. The milk-kiosk next door was also a favourite with the children. Despite the winter weather we managed to explore many of the nearby beaches and visited Big Sheep Farm (highly recommended day out for families). Our dog loved the lake and wildlife on site. Communication with the owners was great and all information we needed was provided. Would definitely return and have recommended to other families already.

Lovely accommodation & location. The North Devon beaches are spectacular & great to find a dog friendly property of such a high standard. Very comfortable mattress, lots of conveniently situated power points for phone charging, and scones, cream & jam as a welcome! Great to have 3 ensuite rooms when staying with adult children & their partners. Swimming pool & hot tub popular with family given some wet days. One of the best self catering properties we have stayed in. Thank you!

We had the best time staying in Moulton Barrett Barn. Accommodation was to a very very high standard with three en-suite rooms. Very spacious lounge diner kitchen area overlooking a delightful walled garden with apple trees. The indoor pool was adjacent to our property and was a firm favourite with the kids. The property was dog friendly. Our hosts were fantastic and hugely informative about local amenities, attractions and restaurants. Very grateful for the top tip about quay jumping in nearby Appledore. Such a fantastic location to explore North Devon. Very close to the big Sherp,MilkyWay and North East Devon Wake Boarding centre. Just back from a return visit to Moulton Barrett with our kids and dog. We love this place and the addition of the dog exercise area is a huge bonus. Accommodation was spotless, kids had a ball in the neighbouring indoor pool. Hosts are so helpful and informative, the grounds are beautiful and the EV charging onsite is excellent and reliable. Could not ask for more. We love the location of this holiday let, so much to do in close proximity to some great attractions and amenities. Westward Ho!-fabulous beach, Appledore- great for quay jumping and crab fishing, Instow-lovely restaurants. We visited the pop up slip and slide this year too- great family fun only 20mins away. Atlantic villlage just down the road is great for retail bargains and we love the Milk Kiosk. Highly recommend this location for a dog friendly family holiday.

Our family (6) stayed here at the end of the summer holidays. The accomodations is very well located and is 10mins drive to westward ho, appledore and bideford amongst other places. It's only 40min to Ilfracombe and Wolacombe. The grounds are lovely and although we had quite a bit of rain, didn't put us off from exploring. We particularly enjoyed the lake which is on site and naturally the pool and hot tub. The accomodations is spot on, clean and well furnished. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were a few issues with, bulbs not working but the host sorted very quickly and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble. The host was on site to greet us and gave a quick but comprehensive account of everything. The pool planner is spot on and the area is clean and well presented. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Moulton-Barrett property for a week in January as a getaway for a birthday celebration. From the moment I booked to the end of the stay, I couldn’t have asked for more. Clear and detailed instructions on finding the location and accessing the property. Anne-Louise introduced herself and went through everything we needed to know and we were made to feel very welcome. The pool was outstanding. Lovely and warm, easy to use the pool covers and of course the hot tub. As a family of 3 generations with a 2 year old, we didn’t actually leave all week!! With the copious amount of space to run and ride bikes, the pool and all the exploring to be done, we didn’t need to go anywhere else. A relaxing break for the adults and an exciting new world to explore for the toddler, we’d have stayed another week! Absolute gem! We’ll be back…

Absolutely fantastic week, accommodation excellent in every way, spotlessly clean & everything you could ever need for a relaxing holiday, pool was amazing and loved the fact each property had allocated swim times plus there were free swim times on a first come basis. Host was great with lots of recommendations and excellent communication, superb touch the fresh scones, jam, clotted cream & fresh milk in the fridge on arrival, definitely would stay again if planning another break in North Devon

Moulton-Barrett is a lovely property, we had a wonderful weeks stay. It’s very spacious and comfortable with everything you could need, a home away from home. We loved having daily access to the pool & hot tub, a lovely way to end our days after long walks on the local beaches. The location is perfect, Aldi & Asda less than 10 minutes away, beautiful beaches within a short drive! The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property for short or long stays.

Very grateful for the top tip about quay jumping in nearby Appledore. Such a fantastic location to explore North Devon. Very close to the big Sherp,MilkyWay and North East Devon Wake Boarding centre. Some fantastic beaches nearby and wonderful coastal walks. Already planning our return visit next year.
We had the best time staying in Moulton Barrett Barn. Accommodation was to a very very high standard with three en-suite rooms. Very spacious lounge diner kitchen area overlooking a delightful walled garden with apple trees. The indoor pool was adjacent to our property and was a firm favourite with the kids. The property was dog friendly. Our hosts were fantastic and hugely informative about local amenities, attractions and restaurants. Lovely property, great for families. Good location . Attractions close by and supermarket and petrol 5 min away . They add little extras so everything is there for you . The milk kiosk attached to the dairy farm is a must .

First visit to Moulton-Barrett and definitely not our last! We booked for a 50th birthday celebration with family from France and had a fantastic week. The house is warm and comfortable with everything you need. Each bedroom having an en suite is great. The pool was a highlight for us all and the rota works really well. Swimming at night with the underwater lights on was lovely. The dog field is a great thing to have on site, our cocker spaniel thought she was a puppy again jumping the hurdles. Cream tea on arrival was a real treat. We all agreed this was the nicest property we have ever stayed at and are already planning when we can come back.

They say, "First Impression's Last", well, from the moment we arrived, everything was simple and straightforward — gaining access to both of our barns (Molesworth and Moulton-Barrett) was effortless. Each barn was exceptional and ideal for our family holiday. We settled in quickly and met Anne-Louise a couple of hours later, she was just so lovely and very informative. The cleanliness of the barns was excellent, every detail had been so carefully thought through, especially in the kitchen, the beds were so comfy and big and having underfloor heating was luxury. We were delighted by the welcome treats too; the scones, jam, and cream, along with the locally sourced milk, were all absolutely superb! The warm pool and hot tub were fantastic additions to our stay. No matter what the weather was doing outside, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves inside. Overall, this place is a real find! Anne-Louise was the perfect host and we'll definitely be back again. Thank you for everything!!

We stayed in Moulton Barret Barn for the second time 10th-13th March after visiting in 2022. Our visit was just as good as the first time and we'd highly recommend it. This visit we decided to spend more time at the barn to relax and cook our own meals. It was great having a shopping centre a few minutes drive away to stock up on provisions and the barn had everything we needed to relax and prepare & cook our meals. The barn is gorgeous and having the pool & hot tub next door is amazing. We went in at least twice a day. Its definitely worth a late evening visit with only the pool lights on, its so nice.

We spent a week here in February halfterm and had a brilliant time. The swimming pool was a huge hit with our three children - designated slits for each barn each day along with extra sessions if wanted. The barn was spacious and having en-suites in all bedrooms was a bonus. The milk-kiosk next door was also a favourite with the children. Despite the winter weather we managed to explore many of the nearby beaches and visited Big Sheep Farm (highly recommended day out for families). Our dog loved the lake and wildlife on site. Communication with the owners was great and all information we needed was provided. Would definitely return and have recommended to other families already.

When we arrived I was amazed at how beautiful the place was, it really had the wow factor! There was milk, cream, jam, scones along with tea, coffee, sugar and so many little extras like bathroom hand wash and useful items like foil and cling film. Lots of kitchen utensils and cooking equipment, we really had everything we needed! Loved the slippers in the master bedroom which came in very handy walking from the pool (even though it was literally next door!) the pool was just amazing! Warm and clean as was the hot tub. What made our holiday was having the pool to ourselves due to the schedule which is provided. Our two little dogs had a great time in the huge garden. A wonderful place and I’m sure we will be back.

We had a great time visiting Moulton Barrett. It was very comfortable, dog friendly and perfect location. The barn was clean and special touches like scones, milk, slippers etc was lovely. Dogs were so welcome and there was lots of safe and enclosed space for them. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

Lovely accommodation & location. The North Devon beaches are spectacular & great to find a dog friendly property of such a high standard. Very comfortable mattress, lots of conveniently situated power points for phone charging, and scones, cream & jam as a welcome! Great to have 3 ensuite rooms when staying with adult children & their partners. Swimming pool & hot tub popular with family given some wet days. Absolutely fantastic week, accommodation excellent in every way, spotlessly clean & everything you could ever need for a relaxing holiday, pool was amazing and loved the fact each property had allocated swim times plus there were free swim times on a first come basis. Host was great with lots of recommendations and excellent communication, superb touch the fresh scones, jam, clotted cream & fresh milk in the fridge on arrival, definitely would stay again if planning another break in North Devon

This is our second visit to High Barns. This time we stayed in the Moulton-Barrett barn. The accommodation was excellent, as were the hosts. I was particularly pleased to see the complimentary cream tea upon arrival after a long drive - much appreciated! This is the perfect holiday for the dog owner (we have three). The one acre dog park is a fantastic facility and the large green to the front of the property proved to be extremely popular with one of our dogs. He would happily sit out there for hours. The pool was very popular with my partner who loves to swim. Her morning visit to the pool quickly became a highlight of the holiday. Overall 10/10 - we look forward to returning next year!

Open living/kitchen area was spacious, perfect for the raining days. Beautiful gardens with lots of space, perfect for sitting out on a dry day. My family and dogs all came along. I can guarantee the dogs were smiling every day! The accomodation was very comfortable and welcoming. The owners could not have done enough for us. The location was perfect. Easy to reach both beaches and shops. We will certainly visit again. Loved it!
