This was a really charming place to spend 3 nights. The staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable, the grounds had been beautifully landscaped and included fountains and a Koi fish pond. There were lots of gathering places including an outside patio for viewing the beautiful smokey mountains and outside games to play. A tasty breakfast was included. All in all, a great place to stay. You do have to take a very short car ride to get downtown.

Think of it as a bed and breakfast, but with guest rooms detached from the main home! While we were only at the Inn for a night, we enjoyed our stay. The grounds, though transitioning due to the end of the fall colors, were nicely manicured with some distinct trees and foliage. Our room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the host even cooked me scrambled eggs as the hot breakfast entree contained gluten. Finally, this was our first time visiting Bryson City, and if you are looking for a quaint NC town with great little shops and a variety of local restaurants and places to have a cocktail, you need to check this town out! We'll stay here again on our next visit to the area.

We stayed here when we had a 5 hour train ride on the GSMR. We loved the property. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and quiet, just what we were looking for so we could relax and unwind. We also brought our dog and they were very accommodating. Will definitely be back!

We had a great one night stay on Saturday 10/28/23. Check-in was a breeze, and Janice escorted me to the room to make sure it was satisfactory. The firepit and social time was enjoyable, and my 8 year old son loved the koi pond and the black cat who is the resident feline. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We will definitely return, and highly recommend!!

This is a quaint property that has a number of different types of rooms in several buildings surrounded by small courtyards and lots of trees. This is sort of a bed and breakfast and the owners obviously take a lot of pride in this establishment. The different rooms all have different names and you will see those on Expedia and on their own website. There are a lot of excellent photos on both. The breakfast is served in the main house in a beautiful dining room. Be aware that there no elevators and you have to climb stairs to get to some of the rooms but the staff will carry your luggage for you if you would like. You get a personal greeting upon arrival. This establishment is a delightful change of pace from a regular big hotel. I love it and will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Bryson City.

This place is so beautiful inside and out. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The common areas inside were cozy and offered plenty of windows for views of the mountains and grounds. The outside area was well kept with plenty of seating, string lights for evenings, coy pond, and fire pit. My husband and I enjoyed playing coin toss and corn hole. The breakfast was good and the owners/staff were so friendly.

Hotel was very quirky. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Friendly welcome and informtion provided. Maybe not suitable if you are unable to climb stairs as a few of the rooms involve a decent climb! Would recommend though

It’s a very pretty area, the bed is super comfortable. However, if you are going to relax in the morning it’s hard to do it’s very noisy. Also, for elderly or anyone that has slight trouble walking it is very very difficult to walk around. Definitely not handicap accessible!

This property was spotless! For one day of our visit, my husband went fly fishing and I stayed to enjoy being at the property. Our unit was near the parking lot and it was even so quiet on this day. In the dining area, there is peaceful music playing indoor and outdoor. So nice to have a refrigerator that is large in the room that can hold leftovers from restaurants and also food from your travel cooler. I highly recommend the McKinley Edwards Inn!

The onsite staff were so pleasant and personable. Took the time to have conversations with us and how they could help us in any way during our stay. Breakfast was great!! Rooms were clean. Dining and common areas were also clean and quiet. I LOVED MY STAY!! Will go back to this Inn anytime I am visiting the Bryson City area. And the best part, this is Not a Chain. Inn has family history and I love supporting small businesses.

I have never received a more warm welcome than when I walked in to check in. The property is a little old and could use minor patchwork here and there, but the entire place emanates the love put in to it. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and decorated nicely.

Pretty Inn and grounds. My room needed some plumbing work. Shower handle ready to fall off. Turning on the water in the shower released a huge, growling noise for about 15 seconds, which could have awakened everyone in the building. The Continental breakfast was...a Continental breakfast. While the property is attractive, the room was dated: oaky-oaky.

The inn was wonderful the food wonderful, the only problem was when entering our room on the first floor across from the outside fire pit Friday evening it was very damp, musty and even the bed felt damp we ran the air conditioner and bathroom fan but it did not help.

We loved our stay at McKinley Edwards Inn. We stayed in the Hummingbird room, which was up on the third floor overlooking the beautiful yard in back with fire pit and fish pond. We felt very much at home in the very relaxing, cozy, comfortable room with hummingbird decor. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and serve delicious breakfast in the gorgeous dining room. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a great anniversary weekend . The accommodations were beautiful. Beautiful gardens, quaint room, delicious breakfast. great caretakers of a beautiful place. The biggest negative was my room was 3 floors up. I knew this going in and we packed light. The stairs to second level were good but the next level , the third level, the stairs were so narrow and hard to navigate especially with luggage. The bed was not comfortable and my husband and I kept rolling in the middle of the bed. Needs a new mattress.

Wife and I stayed at the McKinley Edwards Inn during a tour of the Great Smokey Mnts. The location is perfect for a visit to the NP and Bryson City is a charming little town with lots of appeal, a few nice coffee shops, at least 3 breweries and a few other respectable eateries in the area. But the Inn itself is also nearly perfect. It is very quiet. The rooms are very spacious. The outdoor spaces are great for relaxing for an afternoon or early evening glass of wine, read, game, whatever. And the inn keepers, John and Marie, are as friendly as you could possible want. The bed was great and the breakfast delicious and filling. Marie prepared a hot dish each morning and there is also fruit and yogurt and all kinds of breads… It’s not the fanciest hotel we’ve stayed in but it is certainly the friendliest and a very, very comfortable place to stay. Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful and quiet. The inn was fabulous. The bed was comfortable except it drooped/sunken down on one side. Nevertheless it was nice and described as the picture. Only downside, was the price I paid/deposit for and on my receipt, they increased their prices several months after i booked and had to pay the difference. They didnt honor my bookong price.

The Inn is very close to Main Street and to the Train Depot in the heart of Bryson City. The lodging was very comfortable, homey, and the room was very large and spacious. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the coffee was hot :)! We very much enjoyed our stay and would come stay again! Definitely beats staying at a hotel!

The unit we were in was on the top floor sheet. People should be told about those very steep stairs to get up. There was lovely room nice location, but the mattress definitely needs to be replaced. It was way too soft. The service was impeccable. The property is beautiful. It’s a lovely property. They just need a little bit of notice regarding the stairs and they need a new mattress up there. There is a hide a bed sofa also in that room and if they would just add a little stuffing to the cushions so when you sat down, you didn’t sink in the middle that would be great, but I do recommend this property. it’s really beautiful and we enjoyed the people who work they were and own it they were spectacular.

This Inn was stunning! The Inn Keepers were extremely nice! The service was top of the line. The breakfast was delicious. The quiche was the best I’ve had! The rooms were beautiful. You have to remember this Inn’s age. This is a historical building with character. There’s really nothing bad I can say!

Hosts were exceptional, beautiful views, the room was very clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious (we were late and they still made sure we had something before we left). Would definitely come back.

The onsite staff were so pleasant and personable. Took the time to have conversations with us and how they could help us in any way during our stay. Breakfast was great!! Rooms were clean. Dining and common areas were also clean and quiet. I LOVED MY STAY!! Will go back to this Inn anytime I am visiting the Bryson City area. And the best part, this is Not a Chain. Inn has family history and I love supporting small businesses.

The Inn was very unique. The manager enthusiastically welcomed us even though we arrived at 9:00 pm. He was so helpful, as he helped us with our luggage and brought ice to the room. Breakfast was delicious!

This was a really charming place to spend 3 nights. The staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable, the grounds had been beautifully landscaped and included fountains and a Koi fish pond. There were lots of gathering places including an outside patio for viewing the beautiful smokey mountains and outside games to play. A tasty breakfast was included. All in all, a great place to stay. You do have to take a very short car ride to get downtown.

The Inn is very close to Main Street and to the Train Depot in the heart of Bryson City. The lodging was very comfortable, homey, and the room was very large and spacious. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the coffee was hot :)! We very much enjoyed our stay and would come stay again! Definitely beats staying at a hotel!

I was impressed by the overall experience. The owner is very personable and attentive. After a good night sleep on a very comfortable bed, we were treated to a delicious home cooked breakfast. I asked for a particular item that was not offered as part of breakfast and in a few minutes he brought it to me(wow) . This is a place that I would absolutely recommend to all with confidence.

We had a great one night stay on Saturday 10/28/23. Check-in was a breeze, and Janice escorted me to the room to make sure it was satisfactory. The firepit and social time was enjoyable, and my 8 year old son loved the koi pond and the black cat who is the resident feline. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We will definitely return, and highly recommend!!

Pretty Inn and grounds. My room needed some plumbing work. Shower handle ready to fall off. Turning on the water in the shower released a huge, growling noise for about 15 seconds, which could have awakened everyone in the building. The Continental breakfast was...a Continental breakfast. Our stay at the McKinley Edwards Inn was great. We were looking for a quiet environment to unwind after some stressful days. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The main inn building was just gorgeous and I can't stop thinking about the home-cooked breakfasts that we could eat indoors or take outside to eat. We mistakenly left a very important hat in our room which was promptly sent to us. I would absolutely stay here again if in the Bryson City area.
