Great location, vibrant decor and comfort. Parking was a bit tight but suitable. The hotel was very busy, with many people utilizing the common areas, but it is well-suited for visitors, with a pool table and lots of social areas. My request for adjoining rooms was fulfilled, making a family birthday event more functional. Breakfast was great, staff was very friendly, and the location is fabulous, with many experiences, shopping and dining nearby.

The room was really nice. The staff was beyond friendly. The pool though was pretty nasty looking. The water looked kind of green so that was a big turn away.

A very nice property with ample parking. The pool area was very nice with lots of couches. The lobby has very comfortable seating, a large TV, and a pool table. It was all very welcoming. There was a bit of a snafu checking in. Staff took several minutes to come to the desk and there was no sign indicating when they'd be back. Then, they tried to charge me the full price for the room even though I'd already paid when I made the booking. The person working the desk couldn't figure it out so just gave me a key and let me go on my way. The next day I checked at the desk and this person had no problem verifying everything was in order. That aside, I did enjoy my stay very much.

I love it except heated pool and fire place not working that time and no microwave to heat food inside room and no closet . Somewhat seems cool to be close to lake Hubbard.

The rooms are clean, but small. The biggest complaint is that the pool is really...Really...Did I say really?.....Small. The photo online is absolutely misleading. So many people were complaining at the pool that they "thought the pool was bigger from the online photos". My best eyeball estimate is that the pool at this location is about 20ftx12ft in size at best. The weekend we stayed there happened to be several local cheer and baseball tournaments, so the hotel was super crowded....There were so many kids (including our own), that there was literally no space (and I do mean no space) in the pool for anyone. One of the reasons why we booked this hotel was because the pool looked nice... My kiddos were super disappointed....

We really enjoyed using the cornhole & other games in the lobby. It was quite chilly & rainy while we visited and the lobby became a great family hangout! Also, your front desk staff & breakfast staff were fabulous!

cleanliness was optimal; breakfast was excellent. The parking situation was HORRIBLE; no parking available close to front entrance because they're all for "preffered members".. everyone else had to go park in the boonies. Not thought out very well.

Sheets on blood stains couldn’t get towels after being there a few days was told they were short our room also wasn’t cleaned up during our 4 day stay hair in the bathroom upon arrival

Easy to find hotel. Very friendly staff checking in and out. Neat lobby with lots of options for snacks, seating and they even had a pool table! We had a nice size room with two comfortable bed. Large bathroom. And we were thrilled to find excellent water pressure in the shower. But the floor was so horrible filthy we couldn’t walk across it barefoot. The shower had long hair left along with other filth on the shower wall. I really liked the hotel but when I think about how dirty the floor and shower were it makes me wonder if housekeeping was being lazy, did they even change the sheets! Yikes!!

Fairly new hotel but not well maintained. The hallways were dirty. Room had some obvious issues. Windows in the room do not open and a loud fan was always running even with air condition / heater off.

Entire bottom floor smells like sewer. Our room smelled like smoke and had cigar ashes on the floor. We were able to change rooms.

This hotel just feels like it has bad management. It fails on all the details of having snacks at the counter in stock, cleanliness of the shower and bathrooms, lack of buckets for ice, and hallways not vacuumed well…

Really nice and affordable. Over all enjoyed the Hotel over all. The breakfast experience was something different. However, One negative aspect can affect the whole experience and that for me was the air conditioner. The AC would not turn off thus making a constant noise that annoyed me even while sleeping throughout the night. I like quiet and the room was anything but quiet the whole time.

This was our first time at a Tru Hilton. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend. Things we didnt like: no coffee pot in the room, no clock in the room, no towel rack for hand towel in the bathroom, the a/c fan never cut off - even though we turned of the "constant" fan and it was very loud. The room was pretty small with alot of furniture. The breakfast was ok - absolutely nothing special. The eggs and sausage were cold and the pancake machine didnt work. Would we stay again? Probably not

This hotel room is fairly basic. The good points - there are plenty of outlets to charge our devices, the bed is very comfortable, the location is good, and there is a refrigerator in the room. The sad points - there is no coffee maker in the room (have to go down to the lobby for coffee), there is no ice bucket or water cup, the air conditioner is hard to control, the hand soap is difficult to dispense. Overall, it worked for what we needed for one night.

The hotel was very peaceful. The staff was friendly and helpful. However the AC would stop frequently during the night while we tried to sleep and the room would heat up a little.

Kia checked me in and when I needed to cut my trip short she was there to help me check out early. I really appreciated her understanding and helpfulness. The hotel was amazing. I was traveling alone and felt safe. I was sad to leave early. If im ever in the area again this is where i will be staying. Thank you Tru by Hilton & Thank you Kia

My reservation was made well in advance of my stay. ON THE DAY OF MY ARRIVAL I called ahead to let the front desk know I would be a late arrival, to confirm my room, and to be sure I was getting a walk in shower as requested at the time of my initial reservation (I'm recovering from hip surgery and cant step in/out of a bathtub yet.) I was told they would have a room with walk in shower ready for me upon arrival. I arrived with my daughter about 930pm. As i was parking, I received a call from the front desk. They needed to discuss an "urgent matter." THEY OVERBOOKED AND BUMPED MY RESERVATION! I went in to the lobby to be met with the associate. She was rude and condescending. She acted like i was inconveniencing THEM. After an hour or so, Tru found me another accommodation in another town and picked up the cost. The other hotel was more of a motel, and definitely not the same value. I was in town for a large competition and most hotels were sold out by the "night of." It was clear why the place i was put- wasnt sold out. It was a place for us to sleep, so we took it. We didnt get checked in until after 11pm because of all the time spent finding another place and the drive time to get there. My daughter missed several hours of sleep for her competition. We were told that BECAUSE WE BOOKED THROUGH HOTELS.COM, they bumped our reservation because it wasnt booked through their own brand! Im hesitant to book through Hotels.com again and getting the same result. Very bad experience.

I had a terrible experience with this hotel. They overbooked, cancelled my reservation, and I was not notified until I arrived at 10:00pm while on a cross country trip. I called to confirm my stay the day before my arrival and I was told everything was set. The woman at the front desk cared very little about the difficult situation this put me in. I still have not received a refund for my room costs. Do not reserve a room here if you need a dependable place to stay

For the most part, everything was great. Only callout would be our first morning the ice machine was broken, which is fine. It happens. But then, we were on 4th floor, and were leaving for the day to head to opening day at the fair and 1 elevator was blocked open by housekeeping equipment and the other elevator did not seem to want to go past 3rd floor. We ensured the button was pressed, but 4 times we watched it go up to 3, and back down. So we went in search of the stairs and ran into 2 housekeeping ladies who I explained the elevator issue to ask asked to point us in the direction of stairs and instead they went to elevators and pushed button again and stood there to verify the elevator would not go past 3. Only then did they remove their equipment blocking the other elevator and we were able to go down. I went to the front counter to inform the employee...but she did not seem to care. Instead of evening lying and saying "Thanks for letting me know, I will look into it", she just made excuses. The housekeeping ladies could not direct me to stairs or remove their equipment sooner because "most dont speak english". The elevator was not going to the 4th floor because "we have a lot of guest today". No empathy whatsoever. Just would have liked her to acknowledge that the situation was not the best, but she could look into it. She would have never needed to even tell me the outcome, just act like she cared. That is all. But everything else about out stay was spot on.

The people working at this hotel, mainly the ladies at the front desk, are so rude! They are barely at their desk. People are standing around waiting to be helped. These ladies are ON THEIR PHONE too much! They definitely need to be talked to. They don't look at you when you walk in. They don't speak to you. They need to be let go!

I booked room for $128 total. when I paid at hotel they charged my credit card $214. I inquired at front desk, they said $50 for misc we would receive refund after check out. There is till a discrepancy of $36 She said that it was booked third party and on hotel that’s all that it showed but could not give me a receipt for the $128. I have sent an appeal to my credit card.

Stayed at this hotel for almost 2 weeks—had a great experience. Room was clean. Staff was excellent—-friendly, attentive, informative. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when in the area.

It was convenient to the Interstate without being on the Interstate. It was quiet and felt very safe. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The wife and I love staying here. It's right in town and yet the view from inside the room is just trees and nature.

This was fine for a one night stay. The room was kind of small and would have been pretty crowded for a longer stay. The breakfast had good variety and the location was in walking distance to the harbor.

The hotel is clean and new. Very close to the harbor. I wouldn’t say it’s walkable though. The breakfast had good options and was well stocked and maintained. The staff was nice. They have limited close parking. The rooms were on the smaller side. For the price point I can’t complain too much! We will definitely stay again.

Tru is a kind of new, but basic hotel. Rooms aren’t huge, but are clean and great for short stays. It seems in a very safe area and very quiet. It’s near the lake and there is a movie theatre and cute shopping and restaurant area nearby. I thought it a bit understaffed, but no real issues. Breakfast was your typical free breakfast items.

The hotel was great. Even offered corn hole, a pool table and other fun activities in the lobby. The location close to the Harbor is fun, too. They offer 24 hour market with plates and cups and plastic silver. Only two small downsides were the lack luster breakfast (My kids said NEVER eat the pancakes unless you like rubber.) and cups were not standard in the room for water. (Had to go to the front desk for some.

We enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel. Wish they would have had larger selection of snacks to purchase. Also wish the breakfast would have opened at 6am instead of 7 am. Although the breakfast was very good. Some of us have an early start. Other that that we enjoyed our stay.
