Lovely clean hotel, instantly feel relaxed when you walk through the door. Great facilities, huge shower and the pool and sauna/steam is easy to book and a great little place. Nice touch to have a little cocktail by the pool. Its also very easy to get around, with the train station right behind and within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants. We had no trouble with noise and slept soundly on the nice soft bed.

Hotel was modern and fun. Parking was a nightmare. Nothing easily accessible and you will be walking a long distance with your bags, hopefully not in the rain.

Parking in a nearby lot which is walkable and reasonably priced. Excellent hotel with excellent amenities especially the gym, coffee shop and bar. shower was amazing. Staff is helpful. there is a train station on one side of the building, if you are a light sleeper consider the opposite side. Would definitely recommend staying here. The decor of the rooms with record player is pretty cool.

The room was stunning - the pool facility outstanding. Parking around the corner at train station for car. Close proximity to rivers. Great pool for relaxing in after a long day.

Loved it! Spa is quaint and quiet! Rooms are very, very cute! Love the shower!

Need a better plan for parking.

This was my first stay at The Dean Cork, I had a great time. The hotel is in an excellent location beside the train station and only a 5 minute walk to Cork city centre. The staff were amazing and no request was too big or small. Sophies roof top bar and restaurant has an excellent variety of food and drinks, especially the cocktail menu. As a guest, you also have access to the hotels Power Gym, pool, sauna and steam room, which is a great feature for a city centre hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and had plenty of space with a fully stocked mini bar. The only draw backs are that the room didnt have much in the way of storage capacity and there is no onsite parking. Parking is available in the train station next door for an additional fee. Overall I would highly recommend The Dean Cork to anyone thinking of exploring Cork.

This is a great hotel with a lovely pool, sauna and steam room. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food and drink options are good. The location is very handy for the city centre although there is no on-site parking - you can park nearby in the city or station carpark. No wardrobes in the room which we found a bit odd but other than that, the facilities were all great!

Located next to the train station and near buses, The Dean is an easy walk into town. The Hotel is easy to access for day trips if driving. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. There is construction nearby, but we did not notice excessive noise and are light sleepers.

Absolutely loved this hotel, already want to return. Room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. The rooftop bar is lovely and the views are brilliant. Great place to base yourself, a small walk to the main streets and a very luxurious and comfy hotel.

This is my second stay at the Dean. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and rain shower was a lovely treat.

Our room had a broken Pictureframe on the wall and the shards were still on the floor. I asked the Reception to clean the room properly. Thankfully we could change the room immediately. The next day the cleaning stuff forgot to clean our room (?!)… Again we had to ask the reception… We liked the hotel but these two incidents were a bit unnecessary.

I stayed here with my daughter and we were super impressed. The beds were so comfortable and the room was spotless. The pool area is fabulous and my daughter did a spin class. It was like a mini retreat. We would highly recommend it 💕

Been one of my favourite hotels in Cork since it opened but think it’s changed management recently or at least had a bit of a shake up as the experience this time didn’t feel the same. The beds have always been of fairly awful standard with 2 singles pushed together to make a double but they are now really showing their age and have become very uncomfortable and noisy. The bedrooms no longer have the custom dressing gowns that used to be a nice touch and the steam room in the thermal suite was also out of order for our stay. We also sadly didn’t have our room cleaned despite it being vacated at lunch time and our TV had 3 lines across the centre of the monitor. It’s a truly fantastic venue with great staff and I still really love the gym and thermal suite but I’m not sure I would rate the hotel rooms and stay at 4 stars any longer.

The Dean Cork looks stylish at first glance, but the experience didn’t live up to expectations. Parking was inconvenient and far from the hotel, with no vouchers or discounts provided. The location next to the train station meant constant noise throughout the day and night, making it hard to relax. Our bathroom was clearly not cleaned properly — the floors had dried pink residue and what looked like old urine splatters near the toilet. A quick wipe with a damp cloth removed the mystery liquid, which made it clear that the floors hadn’t been mopped. The tea kettle had leftover liquid with floating debris, and the TV didn’t work, leaving us with no way to drown out the noise outside. While the gym looked nice, it was missing a few essential machines — still usable, but limited. The complimentary drinks also seemed to be missing any actual alcohol. Unfortunately, this hotel feels more like a trendy facade than a truly comfortable or well-maintained 4-star experience.

Clean rooms, walkable. Small and not a lot of room to store luggage. Our room heard a lot of noise from the trains. Also, one night a large trucked idled for a very long time and it was very loud! The shower though— 10 stars!

Our stay Started off very strong. But failed at the service in the hotels restaurant. Very very slow. Other customers received their drinks and food well before us and then we were rushed out. The bed also was two twin size beds pushed together to create a king size. This was not desirable or described in the room description. Location however, very convenient. Just wished the room and service was better.

Modern, stylish hotel, right by the train station in Cork. Great location and staff very accommodating for an early check in as I had an early flight. Bed was comfy but the pillows were terrible! Really surprising for a 4 star hotel. More annoying was the poor soundproofing of the room. The bar is very loud until midnight and we could hear outside noise as well as excited guests coming home, crashing past our room at 2 am! If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you, at least on the weekend.

Let me start with the Dean is gorgeous and has amazingly high-end finishes and amenities. You will want to enjoy the pool, sauna and steam room - take your bathing suits, such a great way to start/finish your days. We stayed 2 night in Cork, popped over to Galway for 2 nights and returned to the The Dean for our final night in Cork so we had 2 different rooms. Our first room was absolutely tiny and while the designers thought of everything from a turntable with records to a Nespresso machine, they clearly did not think of a place to put your suitcase or your clothes, other than the 5 pegs of the coat rack. No closet is tough. We were also on the west side of the building literally above the train station. I am not kidding when I say you can hear the announcements from the station, they start at 6:00am. We almost requested to switch rooms but we knew we wouldn't be spending much time in the room except to sleep. They provide earplugs but with the window open for ventilation, they did very little to block the noise. Our second room for our final night was larger which was great but still on the west side and still very loud with train noise. Currently there is a beautiful view from Sophie's (the bar/restaurant) deck but it won't be there for long since a large building under construction will block it. The west side location of the hotel is also a little far esp. if visiting your daughter at UC Cork all the way across town.

When staying at this hotel make sure you ask for the opposite side to Railway station. Stayed for 1 night & distribution from railway station throughout the night & early hours of the morning, impact quality of sleep. Hotel overall is lovely but quality of sleep is poor. They provided earplugs in room , which don’t help at all.

The staff are accommodating. The beds are very uncomfortable, this really impacted my stay. Record player in room, nice feature but didn’t work. Showers are great. No place to hang clothes or put away.

Targets a young clientele looking more for vibe than for function. Rooms are very stylish but focus on superficial details (old-school turntable, radio, and telephone) rather than common provisions (there were no tissues, storage space, luggage rack, or safe). There were more items in the minibar than I've ever seen (justifying the 100 EUR deposit) but no room for your own things in the refrigerator. There was a large mirror in the shower, but lukewarm water. The bathrobe was too small to wear. The blackout curtains were too short and let in strong light in the morning. There were few TV channels, and the internet often went out. The bed was lumpy and creaked with every move. The long hallway was dark and reminded me of the Shinning. The hotel felt empty and yet was placed in a room just above the train tracks - neither private nor quiet. All in all, an odd experience in a place succeeding to be hip but definitely not for everyone.

The hotel is next to the station making it convenient if you’re traveling by train. The staff at the front desk were really quite unwelcoming on arrival which left a poor impression. The rooms are well designed and had comfortable beds. The shower ran freezing which was quite unpleasant. The roof top bar was the highlight of the stay.

This hotel is great. I had previously stayed in their other hotel in Dublin, so I was keen to get back. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. We had a little issue with our room, as the rail workers decided to drill at 1am and they promptly moved us to another room. The gym is superb, new machines and clean. The pool is nice too. Brekkie and food in general are a bit pricey and not over the moon, but the bar is a great spot to hang around, with nice views from Cork.

The rooms were spotless, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or kind. They were very knowledgeable and even shared great tips about the places we wanted to visit. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were excellent. If you need an iron, just ask, they’ll bring it up right away. We also enjoyed the sauna, which felt amazing, and the pool, which was relaxing and pleasant. The Sophi restaurant was fantastic if you want something light but tasty get the vegetable soup (it was absolutely delicious), and the breakfast was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back!

The Dean Cork was such a special stop off on our family trip to Ireland and we loved it here. The bar and bar staff were EXCEPTIONAL, best whisky sour I've ever had, in my life! The rooms were beautifully decorated, comfy, cool and chic offering a quiet safe haven to rest our heads at night. The restaurant was lovely, with views of the city area and the food and drinks were delicious. The staff at the restaurant was also amazing. The gym, pool and sauna areas were the piece de resistance and truly completed our wonderful stay, having a place to lounge and hang out was lovely and the merch was cozy and well made, I love my The Dean hoodie. This hotel was everything and more and we honestly can't wait to come back. Thank you!!!

Friendly staff. Love the location

Loved the hotel itself- new, modern and felt like such a nice getaway! Our one (main) downside would be the location right next to the train station- the train horns and brakes were LOUD and came and left quite frequently. They left late into the night and started early morning, thus impacting a great night sleep. Nice for proximity of getting to/ from the train station, but keep in mind the noise! Otherwise we found the area to be fairly walkable, and enjoyed exploring the English market area!

Trendy hotel, central, parking nearby, access to great shops and food

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the train station, making it very easy to travel to Cork by train. It has everything you need and is also within walking distance of the attractions we wanted to see.

Staff were great, hotel is really nice it’s in a great location to walk into the city and far enough out too not be loud etc at night. Our only issue was there was works being undertaken on the railway line behind the hotel and we had to change room, the staff were great about this

Modern and newer hotel. The shower was the best!!!! And while the room was small, it was comfortable and offered all we needed. We enjoyed breakfast one morning and it was delicious as was the fresh coffee. We also stayed for dinner one evening….wonderful pizza!!! The location is ideal for train travel, as the station is next door, but you never heard a bit of evidence that it was. A nice walk into Cork city center for sites like the English Market and the Cathedral. I would certainly stay at The Dean in Cork again. Thank you.

From the ever so friendly check-in people, to the happy bar staff, tantalising food (with a cool view) in Sophie's restaurant, and compact but comfortable rooms this hotel has all that a traveller needs. Situated within a stones throw from the train station and only 10 minutes stroll into the centre of Cork city it is very conveniently positioned. Decor eclectic with unifying themes throughout. Outdoor seating with a cute daytime barista coffee dock. The bar serves fab cocktails too (just saying)

Cool hotel but the accommodations didn’t measure up. We were given a handicapped accessible room as that was all they had left when we checked in. When you showered the whole floor was wet therefore wasn’t user friendly. No hooks in the bathroom for towels. Rooftop dinner was lovely but service was very slow.

Avoid Sophie’s, bit like Macdonalds with a drinks licence. Cold room, very average menu, food served cold , overpriced

The rooms and all common aread are charming, super clean, and have great amenities. Every interaction with the staff was great. The lobby bar and rooftop terrace restaurant were exceptional. Breakfast at Sophie’s on the rooftop is a must! The location is great with perfect access to the train, car parking, busses and a very vibrant business district. I can’t recommend The Dean Cork highly enough. I would come back to Cork just to stay here.

Best shower of any hotel! Could have done without the cutesy, cheeky vibes of this ultra modern hotel, but I'm sure others find it funny. It did mean the design was on-point and thoughtful. Good food at the restaurant too. Excellent location to walk around town, except for the late-night trains.
