If you want Your view from a hotel room to include mountains and a glacier, this is the place for you. Best view from a hotel room ever. Room is comfortable but no frills. They do have a pool table and darts. The breakfast is good. Extremely close to awesome hiking.

This place is a dream! It was away from the hustle and bustle of the main downtown area, but a beautiful and manageable walk to get there! Our triple room was perfect with plenty of space, great decor, a balcony, and a beautiful view. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was so helpful and kind. We played billiards and sipped wine on the hotel patio looking out at the Alps. Our favorite stay in our whole trip throughout Switzerland!

Staff is super amazing and helpful! breakfast is abundant but same for everyday! We had a eiger view room and it was amazing! So this hotel is not as presentable as others in the area… there’s not a single flower on the property as it shows in the picture! Lighting in the room is only 2 small table lamps and 1 standing… very dark rooms especially after sunsets. Housekeeping only means changing of towels and make bed..no bathroom cleaning or dusting or vacuuming the room. Laundry is available for 5 francs which is nice. We had a car so free parking was super convenient! You have to leave your room keys in the reception area before leaving in the morning.

This hotel is clean, quiet and its staffs are so nice for me. There is a laundry in the hotel and its guests can use it. Although it is easly occupied, if you want to use it, you should ask a staff as soon as possible. Its room is also clean, well maintenanced and there is no bedbugs.

Grindelwald is beautiful and this hotel had a patio area that was perfect for viewing the landscape. The free breakfast was the highlight of the hotel. Lots of food and beverage options. One negative is it's definitely a steep uphill hike from the nearest bus stops. I got my workout at the end of each day walking back to the hotel. They also don't have a restaurant but the hotel right next door has two restaurants so that wasn't a problem if you didn't want to go far for a bite to eat.

The hotel was lovely and comfortable. There was a pool table and free coffee and tea all day long. We loved our room and the view was amazing. Super cozy and we love the little details of the hotel. The only issue we had was that walk uphill. It does get a little tiring after walking around the whole day. Another issue is the dryer does not dry any clothes at all. We had to air dry our clothes and it can be a bit inconvenient when its cold and you have to pack up and leave the next day. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

This was an absolute wonderful Place to stay in Grindewald. It is super easy to downtown area. The rooms have an extraordinary view (pretty much from anywhere). I highly recommend this place. They have laundry to do your clothes…the dryer is extremely slow in drying.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay! Perfect location located just a few minutes outside Grindelwald, so we were close enough to get to town by foot or car, but just far away enough to have complete peace and quiet. We slept with windows open, and enjoyed the peaceful sounds of a small mountainside village. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast buffet was delicious, with plenty of choices to enjoy. Overall, a very nice hotel.

This hotel was a hidden gem for me. Although it’s a little farther from the main village, the majestic view of the Eiger Mountain from our balcony was well worth it. It’s truly breathtaking! It was the traditional Swiss chalet but I am impressed with the way the hotel is maintained. Although the room is outdated in furnitures, it is clean, spacious and I love the Swiss chalet charm it brings out. The breakfast has good options. The staff are polite and courteous. We arrived very late in the hotel due to train delays which I notified them ahead of time but didn’t expect it to be very late, they were kind to leave the key and instructions. It was the best decision to stay longer in Grindelwald and I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

During our trip this hotel was one of our favorites! The staff were very friendly & helpful and the breakfast was delicious with a variety of foods to choose from. The room was clean and spacious. We had an Eiger view room and couldn’t be more pleased. The view of the mountains was one of a kind. The hotel was great. Very clean, well situated away from the busy main street of Grindelwald but not too far. You can easily walk downhill in to town, or take a bus if desired. I would stay at this hotel again without reservation (but best make a reservation).

I booked 8 months out a single room for a solo trip! Cute room, but was a little bummed about a twin bed and room with a partial view from under the roof; but all was good. The main view from the hotel lobby/restraunt made up for it! No shuttle to the hotel so had to get a cab because I didn’t get a bus card until I checked in. Otherwise the staff was very nice and helpful! Hotel food was great! Would recommend!

The mountain views from our balcony and the downstairs lounge area are unforgettable. That alone was worth the price. The bed could have been better, my wife said it was not comfortable. Overall we recommend.

This is our second visit - we can’t imagine a more enthralling view. The rooms are rustic and comfortable with plenty of storage. The balcony view is incredible and the large patio is perfect for experiencing the restoring views and sounds of birds and the rushing river. The included breakfast buffet is perfect as well. Our only wish is that this would be a smoke-free property. Several people were smoking on their balconies which ruined the smell of fresh alpine air.

Location is a bit far but quiet, which is 20 mins walk from train station or 10 mins bus ride which depart every half an hour, will have a free bus pass after check in. View and room is fantastic, recommend to stay in this area rather close to the busy and crowded main street.

The surrounding beauty is what drew us to this hotel. Our view was breathtaking when the rain and clouds finally went away. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. The bed was not comfortable. The black out drapes were great. It was quiet and the staff helpful. The breakfast was typical for Switzerland. We probably wouldn’t return unless it is updated.

Beautiful Swiss chalet hotel. Had a rooom with balcony overlooking the Eiger. About a 10 to 12 minute walk to the restaurants. Breakfast was very good, had scrambled eggs too.

Would highly recommend - beautifully located, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and incredible views from the room. Only minor complaint was that one of the key outlets in the bathroom wasn’t functional.

Loved this place! It’s charming and quaint, local bus transport close by & and THE VIEW! It’s everything we wanted! They do shuttle from train station which is extremely helpful with luggage! Would definitely want to stay here again in Grindelwald ❤️

We spent one night here and really enjoyed our stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a balcony and sat outside in the evening and had a great view of the mountains. They even gave us free bus passes. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Wished we stayed longer. Definitely book again but make sure you book in advance. Irma

This hotel was a hidden gem for me. Although it’s a little farther from the main village, the majestic view of the Eiger Mountain from our balcony was well worth it. It’s truly breathtaking! It was the traditional Swiss chalet but I am impressed with the way the hotel is maintained. Although the room is outdated in furnitures, it is clean, spacious and I love the Swiss chalet charm it brings out. The breakfast has good options. The staff are polite and courteous. We arrived very late in the hotel due to train delays which I notified them ahead of time but didn’t expect it to be very late, they were kind to leave the key and instructions. It was the best decision to stay longer in Grindelwald and I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

The front desk was outstanding, providing great advice and plenty of details about your stay. Lots of activities in the area, Grindelwald is a place you must visit and stay on any trip to Switzerland and this hotel is great value.

During our trip this hotel was one of our favorites! The staff were very friendly & helpful and the breakfast was delicious with a variety of foods to choose from. The room was clean and spacious. The view of the mountains from the room and balcony was stunning! It was quiet and relaxing! Would definitely stay there again!

Staff were friendly. Buffet breakfast was good. The hotel is in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings. The walk is slightly uphill over the final stretch. The hotel is also close to one of the gondolas. The only minor downside is the room didn't have tea making facilities.

We enjoyed it immensely. Gorgeous view of the Alps, and not in the middle of town so it was much more peaceful. We would stay here again.

Great place with amazing views but you should know there is a STEEP hill to walk up to get here. You CANNOT walk here from town. If you are disabled or elderly this is not the place for you. You are carrying your luggage up and down a hill. The last bus to and from town is at 6:45pm so your day is done then. Restaurant was closed also. We had to get food and get home before the 6:45 p and that sucked badly.

Nice hotel out of town, up hill walk from town. Gave us bus passes but buses stop before dinner so you had to walk back up hill. Hotel restaurant was closed for dinner, good breakfast and Beautiful view from balcony. Lots to do in town.

The hotel located a little bit away from center but it's the good point to find peacefulness. Quiet place and fantastic scenery. From train station you should took a bus to come to hotel, if you had a big luggage. it's convenince that bus stop is not far away from hotel.

Location is a bit far but quiet, which is 20 mins walk from train station or 10 mins bus ride which depart every half an hour, will have a free bus pass after check in. View and room is fantastic, recommend to stay in this area rather close to the busy and crowded main street.

Grindelwald is beautiful and this hotel had a patio area that was perfect for viewing the landscape. The free breakfast was the highlight of the hotel. Lots of food and beverage options. One negative is it's definitely a steep uphill hike from the nearest bus stops. I got my workout at the end of each day walking back to the hotel. They also don't have a restaurant but the hotel right next door has two restaurants so that wasn't a problem if you didn't want to go far for a bite to eat.

Great location with amazing view of the Alps. Located away from the crowns down town. The café was closed because they lost there chief but made excellent suggestion for a great meals.

This is an authentic Swiss property with glorious views and friendly service. We went in the shoulder season, so it was peaceful. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, but the included breakfast was plentiful, and they spread everyone out with assigned tables separated from other guests. Convenient transportation on the bus, and lots of options to get around.

Beautiful Swiss chalet hotel. Had a rooom with balcony overlooking the Eiger. About a 10 to 12 minute walk to the restaurants. Breakfast was very good, had scrambled eggs too.

This is our second visit - we can’t imagine a more enthralling view. The rooms are rustic and comfortable with plenty of storage. The balcony view is incredible and the large patio is perfect for experiencing the restoring views and sounds of birds and the rushing river. The included breakfast buffet is perfect as well. Our only wish is that this would be a smoke-free property. Several people were smoking on their balconies which ruined the smell of fresh alpine air.

If you want Your view from a hotel room to include mountains and a glacier, this is the place for you. Best view from a hotel room ever. Room is comfortable but no frills. They do have a pool table and darts. The breakfast is good. Extremely close to awesome hiking.
